Will be difficult to move people from this forum to the more appropriate altcointalk.org forum.

But moving people before has been done: Friendster ==> MySpace ==> Facebook

Yes, my aim isn't to try and compete with this forum - it is an experiment to see if there is a demand for a forum devoted to alt coins as this forum is unwilling to provide an adequate alt coin section and there appears to be demand for one.

If the alt coin masses deem it appropriate they will come  ;)

I'm throwing my hat into the ring as someone who can make things happen! :)

I currently manage a few Linkedin groups, and have been involved with business networking events, so I know how to get people talking.

I have server space, but I would prefer not to offer that at the moment.

I am also very aware of the Altcoin universe, having trading a fair few of them over the last few months.

I am also UK based, giving the ability to work different hours to US based members

You can give me my hat back if you want! ;)

That may have been true before 3-4 new coins were dropped in the space of a week  :o Clearly the altcoins have outgrown these forums and need their own now  :)

Revenue share.. LOL.

99% of forums make no money. Setting up a forum like this is as straight forward as it gets. Not putting you down, just stating the obvious.
Yeah. If you're going to do a forum, do it as a nonprofit. AltcoinForum.org has no ads - because not everything in life is about money.

I'm launching a forum tomorrow.  If you want to launch your own forum... cool, but if you want to help out with mine - even better!   :)

No offense, but don't threadjack, start your own
