Its definitely a good investment right now for the future.

For now, I say yes, the price rise comes up and has significant volume transaction. But litecoin will never become number one coin, bitcoin still the best. Every coin has chance to increase their value but also becomes scam. We only can predict and follow trend, like this moment, litecoin is the best investment. With all the features you listed here, it seems its just speculation that it will do well in the future and which is guaranteed by holding for a very long time but without considering that the increase that will happen in that longterm is not magic neither by default because people will need to see its usefulness before considering its use thereby boosting its price but unfortunately nothing is being done to promote that just speculations and counter speculations. They have a good roadmap, no infighting (ala BTC), and (for better or worse) a key respected person calling the shots and driving it forward. It is gaining popularity quickly in China and around Asia. No reason to expect it won't break into the $100 to $150 range before the end of 2017, barring any general crypto implosion. It was on the leading position among other alts for years and only this year Etherum jumped through it. I think LTC will continue to grow it's own temp, it's good investiotion today, but don't expect some huge and fast jumps like it was with ETH.

Litecoin is going to be worth something while Bitcoin goes up in value, the coin is a long term investment and the people that were holding Litecoin for years know that the price of Litecoin was kind of related to the price of Bitcoin. Litecoin gets coverage because it trades on Coinbase, Gemini, and the exchanges that swap for fiat. I would argue it could still go up yet relative to other altcoins and is a good place to part extra funds you have for the next leg of the selling which is imminent as the altcoin bubble continues to burst.
