Title: Bricked GPU's - what's the possibilities?

I got 4 bricked 280x GPU's which I cant RMA so what can I do with them?

only thing I thought of is taking fans from them if my working GPU's fans fail

Sell them AS-IS untested on ebay listed as "For parts or not working"

is there demand for this? what people do with them?


How did you brick them? Bad flash, you have dual bios.



they lit on fire when turned on, idk the reason

some of them just smell burnt and they don't turn on, others has nasty burn marks on back

some of them just smell burnt and they don't turn on, others has nasty burn marks on back

Gigabyte R9 280X Windforce ?

if you have same cards, take bios from there and flash it to bricked one,
if you dont have same card, find bios on the web and then flash it,
first card must be working, to start pc, then just flash to second one

If there were flames then pretty sure they are dead!

3 Sapphire and one MSI, sapphire is cheap crap, should have buy asus cards

if you have same cards, take bios from there and flash it to bricked one,
if you dont have same card, find bios on the web and then flash it,
first card must be working, to start pc, then just flash to second one

BIOS is good, these cards have dual bios so no problems there, but the cards went on fire, it is physically damaged maybe only electronic soldering can fix it
