Title: My portfolio - Too much diversification?
Post by: Superfalcon on July 07, 2017, 01:38:00 PM
Hi

I've started investing in BTC and ETH one year ago but want to diversify right now a bit more. After a lot of research I found still too many interesting coins, but tried to reduce it down to 10. With maybe 2-3 ICOs, if I find something interesting. I've tried to find coins, with some new technology or disruptive idea, not just a Bitcoin replacement.
What do you think about this distribution? BTC should be around 40% of the portfolio in the end, each other coin around 5%. I have one total amount I want to invest, but for averaging the entry price I will buy every month until the end of the year.

So:

Bitcoin
Ethereum
Litecoin
Factom
Maidsafe
Golem
Gamecredits
Augur
Siacoin
Steem
? Some ICO ?
? Some ICO ?

I would go for LTC and for some ICO or coins is AdEx it does have a potential and going for NEEM too. Diversification isnt bad but selecting the best of the best will be ideal but its the most hardest part on making investment. Just choose up on the coins which you do strongly believe that can bring you some good future.

remove steem and gamecreditc, DGB is better for gaming, siacoin is good but for storage i like burst, or for storage like movie i like LBRy, other are okish i guess, well bitcoin is a must withotu question, for ico i would only suggest Tezos, giga watt and SONM

Digibyte already had it's pump. If the Tezos ICO is uncapped just like Bancor, it will crash, just like Bancor. SONM from what i've heard, you can't trust.

I've heard scam accusations on Steem, I have no idea about the rest.

Ethereum has problems scalling, so im not sure about its tokens as well...

Thought call. I guess anything is good for short term speculation.

Tezos, giga watt and SONM are the worst options to invest in right now. I got some SONM in ICO and now it's trading way below ICO price. Tezos again is uncapped, so won't make you profit. And giga watt is one of the worst ideas ever, You'll earn but only in cents.

I can suggest you Dimcoin for the upcoming ICO. I think this coin is going to be rise. Now there is also 30% discount for the pre-ICO and i think we are going to see this coin at Polo.
