I am starting a new blockchain project which is a clone of bytecoin but has very flat emission curve. But I want it to be community driven so go ahead and submit your suggestions here and code suggestions at github.
I want it to be really experimental so please do contribute to the code. Still running the seed nodes on free subscribtion of amazon web services please consider setting up one if you have some raspberry pi lying around and pm me the ip or better yet donate at following adresses

Details:

Coin supply.      : 18.4 million coins
Premine             : 0 (Though I mined around 300 coins)
Difficulty target : 25 seconds
Emmision speed factor : 25

Kanak is up and running. Download compiled binaries for Linux or build them on your system using GitHub link provided above.

Run an instance of kanakd to synchronise with Blockchain. To create a wallet run simplewalletd. To mine type start_mining in simplewalletd. I will post help.txt file which will list all commands. Also gonna make some videos and upload on youtube for help.



ps: In case you are wondering Kanak means Gold in Hindi. Named it so because of its very flat emmision curve (emmision speed factor =25)

Oh nice, good luck dude! I love seeing people really getting their hands dirty with blockchain technology, going as far as even launching their own coin, think about that, Satoshi really did change the world! I'll keep track of your coin, see where it goes, if you get innovative then I'm sure investors will buy up.

just one piece of advice.... dont play the gold backed bullshit so many other projects have played and died!

What algorithm you are thinking to enable? I hope it would be pure PoW...

Exactly! Even a few days earlier there was another topic promising the cryptocurrency backed by real gold reserves.
They must find a new way now to scam people off their money as this is now getting kinda predictive. LOL...

But I want this coin to be community driven "project" which will implement good ideas from the people so commercial value and investors and all are not a priority. The priority is creating a cryptocoin by the people,for the people etc etc.

At least this project is honest to ask for donation rather than ANN a bloody ICO.

No its not backed by gold or anything. For now experimentation is the priority

Community driven coins are tough, even Bitcoin had a core driving force. At the end of the day you still need to make decisions or elect delegates or hold votes or something. The problem ends up being that nothing gets done. You will have to be the one to spearhead everything.

First things first,  whats the goal. In my opinion its easier to work backwards, all blockchain really is is a database system, and almost EVERYTHING has a database, so what are we going to do? Build a public database of every MTG card ever made to help prevent counterfeiting? Create a socialist coin where everybody gets the same amount at the beginning no matter what. Start with the idea and work backwards.

I do agree it is getting a little old seeing ICO ICO ICO ICO ICO ICO TOKEN SALE ICO TOKEN SALE. Maybe go the Byteball route with an airdrop, maybe the BTX with a snapshot, who knows, the blockchain is your oyster!!!

I surely want help. For now this a one man project and to be truthful, with no goal. I want some people on board with this. I am student, so I am short on both time and money. All I can ask for is help from the people and if code contributions are made it would be good otherwise this is just another dead project.

Thats a good point to start. 1500 Doge bounty for anyone who compiles windows wallet to my satisfaction. Addition doge if beyond satisfactory, ie with logo and all.

Yeah, he's just a kid testing the waters.
He's very straightforward, it's just an experiment and asking for donations if possible.
But why relate it to gold?  So much negative connotations when a certain project is connected with gold.
