It's rather annoying. Title: Re: Warning Post by: Crystal11 on July 08, 2017, 08:54:06 PM happened to me on ADFly short link provided by tomygame ,got a forced full screen install extension page too. Using Escape key can't help.
1. Open Task Manager Using Your Keyboard 2. Kill / End process of the browser or page browser. 3. Do not come back to that faucet again for a while... the short link will expire or will get reported by someone. Title: Re: Warning Post by: mrsray on July 09, 2017, 08:07:20 PM some lock you up so bad you have no choice to shut down completely
dangerous with windows for viewing ads to earn $$, crypto faucets etc have malwarebytes installed if you are using faucets, keep everything up to date and have a good 'restore point' to get back to if s#@$ does it the fan. Good advice. Another thing is open new windows for faucets so you can just kill that rather than all your tabs. Title: Re: Warning Post by: mrsray on July 09, 2017, 08:19:12 PM yes yes yes
"open new windows for faucets so you can just kill that rather than all your tabs." great add, i forget to do that and it is a good way to surf faucets safer :) thanks for reminding me Title: Re: Warning Post by: robattfield on July 09, 2017, 11:47:09 PM Even better, make a Virtual Machine specifically for this purpose... I notice a lot of faucet owners put sh***y ads and popups that force download extensions, attempt to insert malware, and those stupid popups that prompt you with fake "Windows has 50298 errors" messages. I hate sites like that with a passion, they deserve to be taken down.
Title: Re: Warning Post by: mrsray on July 09, 2017, 11:56:04 PM that is a great idea ... and use Linux ... wish I had the room to add in another machine, for me it's a space limitation
Title: Re: Warning Post by: Yudhisthir on July 10, 2017, 01:51:55 AM That ad comes with every sites with popups. They are not regular but are presistant when they comes.
Alt+F4 generally works for chrome to close the tab. Otherwise I have to close chrome. Using popup blockers will disable the entire faucets. The faucet owners should be aware what type of ads they are using. |
