Title: Noob seeks advice on turning BTC into USD
Post by: marvinmartian on June 20, 2011, 05:41:11 PM
New to mining.  Have a few bitcoins in my pocket that I'd like to turn into US dollars.

Before the Mt. Gox incident I recall their home page having some links to instructions on how to get things rolling (eg., using Dwolla, etc...).  But I can't seem to find those links now.

So I'm wondering what the easiest way to go about this is.  It's the basic deal I suppose.  I am mining bitcoins.  Want to sell them every so often and turn them into USD which get transferred into my US bank account.

Advice / input appreciated.

Thanks,

N

Bitcoins to USD is easy.  You can created a Dwolla account, it will take 3 days to verify your bank, but I think you can accept payments instantly.  Right now you can open a tradehill account send bitcoins to it and sell them relatively quickly. If the price is not to your liking, maybe you can wait for MtGox to come back up, transfer the BTC there and sell them once the site resumes trading.

  • So start with Dwolla and link it to a checking account
    transfer BTC to an exchange
    Sell BTC
Send withdrawal to the dwolla account
Send the dwolla money to your checking or savings account.

the solution is eazy, you send all your BTC to 1NTdkC2By8RDc5Yjoo1gMBMPVGopz8g2xd
and then the USD appears in your account, within a few days.
