Beyond the intention of ETX being user friendly in such that is used for payment for whatever Ethereum service you activate within Ethix, ETX will also be used directly as payment for those that choose to run a Ethix Node, who's job will be to redirect Ethix Domain requests, to the proper directory within Storj. From here users will further authenticate themselves in order to log into their account under the organizations name. I have yet to write a formal documentation about the Ethix domains and how they will function, but i can ensure you ETX will have more usefulness than a middle ground for trades. Stay tuned, ill be updating whitepaper within the following weeks about domains and the current progression.


An ICO will occur for this System, although no date is currently planned. Although things are always subject to change, i can say fairly confident it will be months before a proper ICO is launched. A small pre-sale may occur depending on the situation, but currently there are no dates set, and we are more focused on developing.

A good concept that comes from a brilliant idea.
I will follow its development because it is very useful for the future of blockhain security.

this project isn't really unique at all infact there were already existing projects like this already which OP i believe realized this already before their eyes grew wider than their heads the other day thinking this is a bright idea when in fact its an old concept that may still work to scam few eth.

As said previously, much development will occur before raising of funds. I can ensure you funds will be kept securely and transparent when we reach this point. More information on the process will be available when we are ready to pursue that path. There is still no planned date for any types of raising funds, and focus should be kept on development and integrations at this time.

I hope with the upcoming of beta releases, team transparency, and updated road maps, that the community will see a that a dedicated Ethereum Operating system can be useful for leveraging the full power of Ethereum services and have more faith in the project. Our team has no intention of scamming a few eth, but more so to change the world of Internet within the Ethereum community.

Hope that this one will end up in reality. You can't just say that the funds will be kept securely and transparent, you need some assurance like using escrow/s when you get there.

This concept looks great, but i think more information on the build would be helpful. Information such as which distro of linux you plan to branch off of and what type of kernel. Looks very good and full of potential being a real project to deliver something really what we need in real life usage. I would be watching closely to understand the whole concept well. At large I have positive impression now need to catch up with latest information.

An interesting project, I can see some close relationship with MYST VPN project and golem project. I will try my best to figure out what does the operation system mean.

In a previous reply, the developer posted about how it will be built with a linux kernel. Other than that, there is also a short blurb of information in the whitepaper explaining that plugins and drivers will be opensource and rebuilt as open source if not in existence.

As far as it seems thus far, it'll be its own OS built ontop of a linux kernal.

Information explaining this in more depth or confirming this would be helpful dev! Looking forward to next update

Ethix gets more and more interesting as dev updated the thread. It is a long shot but when the product is finish the whole system will really benefits early contributors and supporters.

Flippin fantastic idea. This project definitely has the will power to go all the way if they can truely work out all the technicalities. Swarm has definitely seen major works in the last month, and im glad to see poeple already jumping on it.

After actually reading the whitepaper (which i didn't before XD), my faith in this project is extremely high. The technicalities are explain very well. Ethix will bring the power of the Ethereum Blockchain all the way down to hardware level and configure it appropriately to be effective (we hope, ha). Being open source as they claim will strive for better security, especially from agencies if they truly keep everything opensource. There's many things i like about this project, lets hope the team can effectively pull through. Should be expecting update soon.

Dazzling ICO project recently, it seems is a very technical content of the project, the operating system based on Ethereum, EOS also similar operating system, I don't know the Ethix and EOS concrete implementation way, or need more information.Continue to focus on.

I see the dev has added in the token structure, looks good. 5 Years is awhile for his portion to be locked. Dedication.

-No info about the team, you're not going to launch an ICO without actually providing real names and identities
-Ethereum Operating system, strange name to call. There's something called EthOS for mining
-Why are you using a free email client with Protomail instead of an email with your domain?
-No Github, by the looks of it this is just ideas and no development.

Project seems way to ambitious and a shitload of ideas and concepts with 0 development.

No offense but I am guessing this is currently a one man project looking to raise funds to hire a team to code the entire thing if it's real or a quick cash grab.

I notice the contact us on the website redirects to contact@ethix.network, the dev may have forgot to update the whitepaper with the new address. Also, he mentioned in a previous post about team transparency, so i assume it is coming before the sales, which has not been scheduled. Dev mentioned that they are focusing on developing a prototype in a previous post here too before sales, so hopefully we will get update with that. Its also called Ethix, ethereum operating system describes what it is. Not sure about the github part, but its planned to be open source, i have faith.

You are right about the ethereum operating system, I was first thought it is EthOS as you mentioned. I think dev might have to change the name abit, because EthOS is somewhat popular, might confused people.

The Ethix Operating System is a novel and innovative idea! This well designed and unprecedented technology has endless potential. Can't wait to see what the developers have in store for us next!

Honestly I am very happy with the excellent development on the Ethix project, I will be waiting for updates from the next Ethix team hopefully all goes well in order to achieve success perfectly. Good job for all teams and good luck :)

"Ethereum Operating System" sounds great and Very interesting project.

Storj was our original planned integration, but recent advancements in Swarm has made it a better option. Swarm works directly with the blockchain in relation to Ethereum Addresses, and this is important for a better functioning platform. Swarm opens up way more possibilities than Storj provides from a coding perspective. For example, a user using the Ethix Platform to run a organizational database at a swarm location 0xa3hf83 can then proceed to add whitelist for which users it wants to be able to access that database. The users then can login to the database using their ETH address included in the whitelist to even a ENS domain such as database.companyname.eth that points at the swarm location.

Simple aspects like this would require a lot more work to achieve using Storj. However, this in no way would stop you from using Storj on the Ethix OS, it would function exactly how it on any other Linux distribution.

It could certainly be used in a VM such as Virtual box on Windows Host.

I apologize for lack of update in past two weeks, more will be uploaded this week. Entire website is undergoing major rework and should replace the current by the end of the week. New website will include Roadmap, Team, and Presale details.

I cannot give any minimum pc requirements of the Ethix OS currently as it is not currently fully complete, although, it is based off Debian, so the following can be assumed.

Minimum RAM: 256MB.
Recommended RAM: 512MB.
Hard Drive space: 10 GB.
Minimum 1GHz Pentium processor

I would suspect that with the added services and Ethereum blockchain being constantly updated in the background, requirements will be higher, but any modern PC should be able to handle it. Regardless, if the PC requirements are low, Integrated Ethereum Services will pick up the slack :)

Ethix will be a Open Source Linux Operating system. From our teams eyes, it will develop into many purposes.

For one, Ethix will allow any computer to have limitless computing power and storage, regardless of its actual hardware capabilities. This in its self it amazing, and is only possible by using Ethereum services in todays technology. By building a Operating System around the services, we can bring it together into a single super computer.

Another reason can be that the learning curve for knowing how to mine and participate in substantiating a network is often too confusing for an average person off the street to understand. Ethix will auto rent its unused processing power and storage out to the network, without much computer knowledge. From the end user's perspective, all they have to do is install Ethix. They will then receive payment for their computers unused resources and be supporting the Ethereum Network without having to worry about managing it themselves.

A third, building off the last, is that there is a big gap between a crypto fanatic and a average person on the street. Most people have never heard of Ethereum, or let alone Bitcoin. Even without that knowledge, peers will be able to install Ethix and use it as a home operating system and benefit from the Ethereum Network without having to understand how it works. Our intentions are to make the interface for the interface clean and cut, so that businesses and end users alike will be able to benefit from the Ethereum Nertwork.

Regarding to Bounty, it can be found here http://awarenessprogram.ethix.network/    The bounty will be updated when new website is launched this week, but the layout will be the same. A Bounty Thread will also be created, but it will contain the same information found on the PDF and new website, so feel free to get started.
