Title: Mining in Russia
Post by: Michael.t on July 09, 2017, 12:19:42 PM
Hi guys, just one question.
In Russia, due to mining, there was a shortage of video cards, prices increased insanely. Is it worth buying a lot of 1050 GTX for $ 25 per one? Will it pay off at all?

No and they dont cost $25, you mistyped there, you probably meant $125, if the 1050 was worth then it would not be available anymore.

1060/1070 would be better.

I have 6*1070 rig -> 182mh/s in ETH
1*1070 -> around 28-31mh/s - 660usd(price in my state)
1*1050ti -> around 12mh/s - 178usd(price in my state)

So to build rig with power around 180mh/s you have to buy:
with 1070 -> 3960usd - 6pcs (just gpu)

with 1050ti - > 2670usd  - 15pcs
