Can you please name 5 best coins to add during this selloff. Dont give too many names please. Just tell me what are the 5 best coins that you think are. I know nobody knows which one is the best. I want to add few more coins. I have 0.22 btc on bittrex to buy few coins.  ;D

UBIQ has a lot of potential so i bought some of those

I bought some Waves and Stratis, let's see if they drop more or the market is going to stabilize.

Any of the big ones, they probably will recover as soon BTC recovers. Just don't ask what will happen if the downtrend continues.

Added some Stratis and had Bitbay from before, but these look very good to hold.

I'm gonna have to research all the coins I swore off as being too expensive, but no hurry... Though some alts have crashed really hard.

With this money, I recomend you should buy 1-3 altcoin potential in short-term, mid-term and long-term.

Waves and shift

Thanks everyone, i bought some Waves, Ubiq and Stratis. Already own LTC, Shift, ETH

Hope your ETH is short-term, because once this ICO bubble burst, ETH's going to be in for a shock and with WAVES, STRATIS, and UBIQ waiting to give ETH a run for its money, things ain't gonna be looking pretty

I dont think so, ETH is here to stay. Crypto market is in its infancy. All these coins Waves, Stratis, Ubiq can go up along with ETH. Thats why I own them all. Its not like Crypto market is saturated and these coins have to compete with each other.  ;D

I agree, ETH is going to stay for a while. Even if better coins arrive. Cryptos are more or less a copy of real world currencies in the sense that there will be many different kinds over the years. There simply is no good reason to believe that only a handful of coins will survive in the long run.

I'll buy some ZEC, ETH and LTC and take part of the Pillar ICO

Prices are dirt cheap right now. Buying now is how you create wealth. Here are the best 5 (long, mid, short) to buy right now and flip later.

Long term - ANS, STRAT, WAVES, SNT, ETH

Mid term - SHIFT, STEEM, GAME, ADX, ARK

Short term - BAY, VIA, DASH, some others

Also, I would look into TaaS (available on Liqui.io and Livecoin exchanges) it is cheap now and they pay profit sharing each quarter. This could be huge if the fund does well in their trades.

I would say also say LTC and XMR - but their prices have remained relatively stable throughout this crash because they are strong, so it is always nice to have those "rocks" in your portfolio.

ETH, ETC, WAVES, XMR, LTC. These five are more or less long-term, but all of them are pretty safe. You may make great money of you can control yourself from panic selling the next time such a blood bath will happen ::).

I would stay away from ETC it hasn't really performed like the others mentioned here.

Waves, ARK and Monero are the ones that I have been buying. A little every day.. no one knows where the bottom is.

This is my strategy, too. Buy a little bit at a time and check the price back later. If it is still going down, buy a little more. It's called accumulating, and oh you know the whales are doing that (probably on a much larger scale) right now too.

I think 5 types of money you should exchange buying and selling: BTC, ETH, LTC, BTC - E Code, WMZ.

You can buy ridiculously cheap Aeon on HitBTC right now..  way below market price.  Once Bittrex fix the wallet the price will jump up high.

I see a good bounceback from Golem and Antshares.

Now is an ideal to get a spread in 5-10 of the main altcoins. BTFD.

There are many opportunities right now.
My chooses are like this;
WAVES, GUP, XEL, SHIFT, UBIQ.
I also keep some ETC and EDG. but their price did not drop so much. You can watch if they drop they can be added to portfolio as well.

ICN I think is the most overlooked coin right now, so this is the one I would advise anybody who believes in the long term potential of cryptocurrency to buy. I honestly think it will be worth several hundred dollars in a few years time when the platform is launched and buy backs begin. I wish I got involved in crypto sooner so I could have begun accumulating a lot more of this one...

ARK, DCR, BLOCK & WAVES are my other picks which I am very bullish about in the long term.

Waves, Stratis, Sc, Dgb, ETC. Cause of those coin Will be Profitable After few months,  As you can see Market was falling down. its time to buy some coin (not shit coin) and wait for it.

If market decline continue every coin will be affected. I don't think some raise in a bear market. You better split your portfolio into half national currencies and half altcoins. You can change that percentage though. If you see big risks then don't buy altcoins. I would hold BNT, SNT, WAVES, GUP and ETH. Half of my investment is in cash now already.

LTC x 5

Low market cap coin is better performance now.

WHY?

I think its impossible to predict when we will reach the bottom, maybe BTC at 1200 or perhaps 800. Nonetheless, when we do hit bottom I an not convinced traders will be able to put on full position sizes at the bottom especially in the small alt coins. These are some of the positions I have purchased in recent days.

The strongest ones that will make many people rich buying at these discounted rates are ANS, WAVES, STRAT, STEEM, SNT, SHIFT, etc.

I would start accumulating now because there is no guarantee you will have time to get all you want when the prices crash further. Be smart, don't be greedy. The market WILL recover stronger than ever and you will be laughing at these current prices thinking "Why the HECK didn't I buy then..."

Stratis: It is just amazing project and it will be very huge and popular in near future.

ZEN: Undervalued project with a lot of potential, it will become more popular when nodes are become available for setting up. only 42 coins for one node,  this is very attractive now under 150 dollars for node..

I already buyed IOTA. It's only tradeable at Bitfinex in the moment. It belongs to the top 10 marketcap coins since 1 month. It's a coin for the internet of things. It enables micro payments because iota transactions don't cost fees. It has no scalability issues.

I think the most people haven't heart about it, otherwise it would be at least on number 3 of market cap.

I grabbed STRAT, EXP, WAVES and LTC.

Id go with the new ones (Status, Civic, Nimiq)+ Ripple.
Reasoning behind Ripple is mainly because they added some guys from the Swift team.

Waves

I am investing on ethereum and waves which is more than coin its ability create smart contracts and also ethereum classic also best option . Currently waves is having least price like 2.5$ so i am bagiing as much as possible. LTC , Monero is my last choice.

SONM, MOBILE GO, MONACO, ETC and SKINCOIN. I think these are the best pennies that we can invest in at the moment, after the whole trading floor goes down, they are still in low value, this is a good opportunity for us invest.

I also think that 1337, Espers, Insn could be a good opportunity to invest now, since their price is low at the moment.

I would say edgeless, waves, litecoin, guppy and adex for sure. I have around 0.15 bitcoin too and I'm just wating for buy opportunity during market crash.
