Title: Populous ICO Frauding Over Promises

I really don't have time for this. Populous team keeps sending me PMs. Sorry, I can't be arsed anymore with these guys. Anyone has a problem with them should open their own accusation thread.

you forgot to post scammer profile : Populous World (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=968666)
you gotta be kidding me 60 PPT for blog bounty!! equal to 0.066 ETH at ico price!!less than 15 bucks , they give twitter participants x10 more just for following and x100 for signature campaign, i think this is unfair.

If this is true, this will negatively effect your credibility. Even much bigger projects like Bancor didn't back up with their offer and they are literally about to distribute millions of dollars through bounties. A professional team must keep their promises.

Please add any other useful info you have regarding this to the OP of the thread as you manage to gather it, OP. Namely, exactly how much you have been scammed out of personally, along with the "scammers" profile link (thanks a14m for providing it in the second post - but it helps to have it in the OP as well). Further please link where he has promised to fulfil this after the ICO had ended (as someone has stated in Populous Worlds' feedback).

Also, please use the normal "Scam Accusation" format for this thread:

Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Scammers Profile Link: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Reference Link: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Amount Scammed: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Payment Method: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Proof of Payment: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]PM/Chat Logs: [/color][/b]
[b][color=black]Additional Notes: [/color][/b]

Anyone who has been duped by this, please post in this thread so we can see just how far this stretches.

I will leave a tag on Populous Worlds' profile temporarily directing him to this thread so he can explain in detail exactly what has gone on here. Judging from his response, and the response of anyone else that posts here, will determine if the tag remains or not.

Thanks.

I've seen some people agreed upon 1000 PPT each.

If every blog bounty participant agrees with this decision, I'll lock this thread and ask for a deletion.

You have all agreed to be bribed with an amount that is less than you were promised in the first place? Or am I missing something here?

If every blog bounty participant agrees with this decision, I'll lock this thread and ask for a deletion.

Your prerogative - if people are happy with the "resolution" that has been promised, then I'll remove the rating once others' have confirmed this. Again, unless I have missed something here, I don't see why you would settle for less than you were promised. But if people are happy with it, so be it.. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'll check in on this again tomorrow and adjust the rating if necessary.

As I said, its not on my hands. If the other 25 people agrees to 1000 PPT, I can't do much.

I've checked the slack and basically the CEO said take 1000 PPT or nothing. So it seems like some people agreed.

I'm in no way happy with the resolution but it feels like they will not send anything if people doesn't agree.

Everyone who was present in slack agreed to the amount.

He said the tokens would be distributed tomorrow.

PPT at etherdelta at time of writing is 0.0152 eth.
1 eth at time of writing is $191.43.
So 60 PPT is now worth $174.
An ungrateful blogger said he got paid 90 PPT, so its $261.88.
That is more than x17.
The fact is, a lot of people expect to earn big easily money for as little work done as possible.

Hi sir do you know from the beginning if PTT will rise to 15 x fold?
No one knows. This is a matter of promise not a matter of income

If I can only hope to get paid from 10 stakes despite only 10 seeds because the CEO did not want to issue bounty allocation

I have temporarily removed the rating on Populous World, pending further information from participants in this bounty project. Some seem to be happy, some don't, but the majority have not made their thoughts clear on the matter as of yet.

So for now, I'll be keeping an eye on this topic, and will take any further action later after speaking with other members of DT.

Thanks

Indeed nobody knows.
But humans being humans, are very greedy and will not think twice to exploit a selfish opportunity.
If PPT price tanks to 50% lower upon listing and the bounty reward loses half the same, do you think the bounty hunters will just keep their mouth shut and just accept the bounty reward with gratitude? Not a chance. They will make noise and demand to be paid twice because price has fallen by half.
Similarly, when price skyrocketed over x17, the same bounty hunters will make noise and demand to be paid the same amount of token as promised because they are eyeing for the x17 profit potential.
Either way, humans being filthy humans will find a way to make noises whenever the direction of the price goes, be it up or down.

I also wait for blog bounty distribution. I don't think they are scammers but I find them not so excited about paying blog bounties as promised amount. They raised a lot of money from ICO, why would they not want to give everybody their deserved stakes? If they reserve bounty amount then exchange price should be irrelevant. I hope everybody get paid asap.

Those guys are really annoying.

First they want a PM... they simply ignore it.
Then they want a reply by mail.. again they ignore it.

Btw why did anyone agreed on this reduction? Doesn't make sense to me.

It seems like they stopped responding to anyone, blocked public chat on slack / banned people for asking questions about payments.

@Zepher, the dispute is not resolved yet.

Populous team PM'ed me and told me they paid everyone and that I should remove my accusation. But that is not the case according to the spreadsheet.

They have been offline since than.

I suggest everyone to stay away from this hyped scam.

They paid most of the people but after the users sent several requested. I was among the lucky few people who got paid on the first day they sent the bounties as I had sent a message to the manager first only and the amount was exact as I was promised earlier. Now they are delaying other payments.

They didn't pay blog bounties. Jahi Grant and his scammer team has no life. They should be banned from whole crypto currency community. We don't need scammers in this business. They should be in jail.

I've repeated my answer.

I'll remove my feedback and lock this topic when I see the addresses highlighted with green paid. It's easy to track them through etherscan.

Here is the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nTA3jgSxXJ51m_jbsAVpS1v6IiIV_PKIE53jw6aZrJg/edit#gid=0

I already gave up on requesting and just wish them good luck

Despite providing

Email Proof
Content Proof
Every Proof

That Guy just keep on finding reasons for not to paying me.

First it start off as : They didn't receive my blog during the submission Time.
Then on the thread, it became : I copy pasted the article from the website during the submission time, then change when i FUD the thread.
Then i provide proofs of Unchanged Content, even with screenshorts of my wordpress editor page.
Still, hes still claiming the same thing, don't think everything work tho.

Despite of that, people in the thread is cancerous AF. Despite providing so much necessary proofs, they flame people who are against their project so hard.
They don't even read, they just boot lick the project so hard.

I am tired.

Everyone who has been paid followed the criteria set. They did not and probably changed old articles to claim bounties. Secondly by you suggesting we pay dishonest people money before you remove your thread is clear blackmail.

I reject puremage bounty at the time because it was copied content, miraculously the content has been rewritten after the bounty campaign has closed.

Asked ingiltere to show you the blog he/she sent to info@populous.co during the campaign, I bet you it does not exist. These are the reasons why we will never pay.

I have deleted my negative feedback as Populous account claims everyone got paid as they should.

Fact remains:
1- They dishonestly changed the bounty rules after bounty finished.
2- They promised to pay 1000 PPT to accepted articles but they only paid a few of them.

I'm tired of dealing with this so, I'll keep the thread up and let those who got hurt come defend their claims. I'll add them to OP if PPT fails to answer them.

Out of 1000s of Bounty participants you have sided with two dishonest claimants. Yes we changed the article bounty rules because we made a mistake and still rewarded the legit participants handsomely. Secondly we paid everyone who was entitled to be paid for work done. By you keeping this thread up, you are causing FUD. If your a PPT holder reading this thread I suggest you to report this thread to the moderator as we have done.
