A bit hard to understand IOTA. What's a good price? Who's supposed to use it?

No, I beg your pardon, they are different. Are you a newbie?

The best price is the one that personally feels right to you.  $0.191592 MIOTA at time of posting seems good to me.

Byteball, another very nice one, is also up for sale at very cheap prices, at $513.72 GBYTE it seems good to me too.

Nice.  I just bought some more MIOTA.  I just bought some more Byte Balls.

I'm rolling.

Better in what? For example, "better in shilling" doesn't sound as an advantage to me.

I like IOTA too, and as long as it's below 15,000 satoshies, it's under valued.

Iota has new developers Welcome Lewis Freiberg to IOTA https://t.co/G0jJt9mHDP

Got some of it too. IOTA indeed one of the good altcoins. I doesn't even hit other major exchanges yet. But look at it. Top 5 at the coinmarketcap list! It just surpass litecoin marketcap. Also the biggest community on slack channel. Reaching 12,000 members. That is huge. What more if it hits other major exchanges? Also i see a bright future of this coin and usefulness of it. No fees at all. Just wait for 2018.

I move in and out of the IOTA market when the price is right. I personally think its overvalued given that its in the top 7 or so currencies by market cap but as far as I can tell, it has almost 0 active uses in the real world. US customers are having a hard time even buying and selling it at all! I try to enter under .92 and exit above if possible. Is it worth holding? Hard to say, there aren't may exchanges on which you can liquidate it and there isn't much hardware using the technology. But given the right conditions, the value could be good. Time will tell.

I really like IOTA, because I see IOTA is very high in trading prices, I'm sure now is not the highest price point, maybe the price of IOTA will be higher than now, I do not know how it will happen, whether it's this week or next month, We see How IOTA will grow at the highest price in their trade.

I've been looking at IOTA for the last 3 months and I can't see anything wrong with it. We have to take into consideration that IOTA is pretty advanced, technology-wise, in order to be adopted at this moment at a large scale, but with the increasing necessity for interconnectivity between the various things in our daily lives I expect nothing but good news from IOTA.

I like IOTA too. It is a good long time investment. And it is still not known enough. I believe it is going to be #2 marketcap in less than 1 year.
I started to collect them around 10k sats. It is still very cheap. Whenever i close any of my positions i will collect a bit more.

IOTA is definitely good project comparing to other altcoins in the market. But price is a bit expensive right now. Its supply is too high and I don't think price is worth buying.

The coin isn't worth much nowadays which makes is encouraging. Theymos started a thread where he wrote about the best coin and IOTA is among them. It's trading volume is promising indeed. What's so special about it? The fee isn't worth a thing. Plus, it truly is innovative as it is not even built on blockchain. Instead, we have a graph here. I also heard that iota is supported by Cisco and Microsoft. I guess I'll buy some right now.

I like IOTA's ambition and no cost transactions. I bought a bunch for about $.25 USD per mIOTA on July 10th, it was a great deal.

For the current moment IOTA the only currency which dont have fees for transaction and it makes it special on the market i am also looking for SONM not a bad project  maybe can get to that point later, i read the thread about if anybody can explain the formula of IOTA but i didnt see any answer. if people really can send payments without any fees it really good for small payments and save a lot of money for users and cryptocurrency intrested groups

IOTA accounts for 50% of my wallet, not because of the graphs but because I found their technology very convincing and sexy.
3rd generation crypto with user as a miner (or one would say without miner) and quantum-proof (might sounds futuristic, but bitcoin stake and philosophy is radical and futuristic in the first place) are a few arguments that got me on board.

It might not be the next bitcoin, but I would like it to be. Put money in a project you love and you won't regret it, whatever the outcome.

Now, they need to work on their user-friendliness, starting by updating the documentation and the android wallet that's not working anymore with the last upgrade but still referenced in the get-started tutorial.

If you're looking into picking up SONM, now is probably a good time, I don't think it's going to get any cheaper.

Is it open source? I guess it is, so if it is then it has no value what so ever. remember when something is open source every body could copy the code and create a clone, and only 1 exchange has listed it. if I had an exchange then I could list any coin and start trading it. if by any chance you could buy from one exchange and sell in 3 other exchanges then it's good.

It's open source. With anti-copy protection. Go, copy it, we'll laugh together after that.  :D

Comunity of iota are very happy to welcome Nick to IOTA, his vast international background and extensive expertise in clean technology and the present challenges tied to climate change will assist in enabling IOTA’s potential in this realm. He is bringing his full entrepreneurial and activist mentality to the IOTA project. Securing air monitoring data, smart grid optimization models, business models and getting the right people in the right room for dialog are just some of the things Nick will be able to bring to the table.

For me IOTA is a great project. As with any project there is no guarantee of success. But as with all projects you look at their development, ideas and collaborations and hedge your bets.
You'll see some people call it over-valued, a fake and a scam, however remember guys I'm sure plenty people said that every day of every year since Bitcoin was released. Right from its value from a few cents to 4000 dollars.

I don't know why IOTA price is low since the potential of IOTA is clearly with the concept, team and no transaction fee, hope to see it go to the moon soon while industry 4.0 is coming   ::)

i think iota is only a good coin for a long time investment. it is machine to machine coin. In future machines will communicate and give orders by themselves. So if this happen the value should rise.
Or if bittrex or poloniax start trading with iota.

Paragon and IOTA recently announced a partnership aimed at creating a transparent, verifiable database to help the cannabis industry move towards greater legitimacy. By incorporating IOTA’s unique approach to cryptocurrency and distributed ledger technology, Paragon hopes to deliver a faster technology with lower fees. Paragon will build a fully verifiable database to track prescriptions, and data on batches of cannabis (such as their farm of origin, or THC levels). https://t.co/WniYQHxsNu

2 full pages and no direct answer why IOTA is good or what they do?  Probably this is why price is cheap. I personally donot invest in something I do not understand. If a creator can not clearly explain his invention and provide use case for it, I would probably stay clear.

I invested in IOTA, too. At the moment I wait to invest more because I have read some articles that IOTA is kinda centralized. I am not sure whether it is just FUD or whether there is a real reason for the claim. Independent from this, I think IOTA is one of the projects of the future if they can provide full decentralisation. A lof of project already count on the tech like Satoshipay and a big German regenerate energy provider.

I witnessed the development of IOTA,
for some experts in this diforum IOTA assessment is very interesting.
good for investment, I think this is similar to what I learned and investigated IOTA.
I feel confident and hear any friends IOTA will soon become popular even though not as big as BITCOIN of course.
It's just that I like this coin.

There is no functional identical properties between IOTA and bitcoin. IOTA is way different concept than bitcoin. The interesting point is that, IOTA's price is near $1 even it has billions of total coin supply. This shows it could be another giant next years.

Marijuana Industry Blockchain Developer Coin Partners with IOTA There exists a multi-billion dollar industry which is largely struggling to establish itself in the United States market.
Untrustworthy businesses, often seen as trying to capitalize on a growing market trend simply to con individuals out of money, make it difficult for the average person to separate the legitimate from the not, stymieing the worthwhile endeavours of entrepreneurs trying to make it in the space. Though this description can be applied directly to the cryptocurrency marketplace, this is actually a description of the current state of the cannabis business.
