if you are already scared of a small drop in bitcoin price and have became so confused that you are here, then you should not even get near altcoins because this small drop that you see in bitcoin is 100 times bigger in altcoins.

the resistance for altcoins is nearly zero which makes them drop when the dumps followed by panic sells start. you can easily see a 40% drop in an altcoin and in smaller ones you may even see a bigger 17-80% drop!

all i can tell you is stop rushing yourself and first learn how the market works. don't be fooled by a dip in bitcoin and don't be fooled by fake pumps in altcoins. spend some time looking at the charts.

Bitcoin itself is the most stable of cryptocurrencies and a good investment.
Except some Alt-cryptos, most of them are scam created just for pump and dump.
If you can Identify the potential of some new alts, you can invest some of your btc on them.

Actually Bitcoin is the most stable right now. Invest some of your Bitcoin in Ark and thanks me later.

Maybe you just have to have more faith in bitcoin and alt coins. Panic is one of the main reason why investors get losses. I can say it's the best time to buy altcoins now that they are at the bottom level.

Sure, bitcoin is not stable and altcoins are  ::)
If you think that way you are in wrong place, if you are confused with bitcoin what do you think what will happen when you invest in altcoin?

There are recommendations you might make with investing in LTC, Metal, ETH. But you must know how current conditions are so applicable. It's better if you have a broader consultancy friend about Cryptocurrency

Actually, not only bitcoin, altcoin also losing stability and profit. But I think that's a reasonable fluctuation. So you do not have to worry, the price will definitely return to normal. You do not need to move to altcoin, or if you still want to try to altcoin you do not have to stop investing in bitcoin, use altcoin and bitcoin is better. The temptation when investment is falling prices, but if you get through it big profits are waiting. My advice be careful if you want to invest into altcoin because not all altcoin is profitable, ETH and LTC maybe you can try if you want to invest into altcoin. And keep investing in bitcoin.

Actually bitcoin is not good for short term trading instead it's better for long term investation
About altcoin is far more riskier than bitcoin since some of them also adjusting bitcoin value! At the moment , ETH and doge still have quite stable value for being trade. Just do not push yourself if you can't afford to lose

Imho you have 2 choices.

1. you are either a day trader and try to ride with whales

2. investing long term - holding the coins/projects you believe in

Investing in altcoins is ok for me BUT as long it was invested on top coins in coinmarketcap. Do not invest in not so known coins or shall we say shitcoins. You will lose there. But, why not hold your bitcoin as for the moment? After this drama I think everything will be back to normal and even gain high.

Before moving from bitcoin to altcoin you need to research a lot because sometimes you might fail to make money. Altcoin won't give you big profits until the price of bitcoin is increasing. Investing into altcoin is a good idea but which one is giving more profit you need to research about it.

Yeah these news regarding 1st August, price speculation, sudden dip in cryptocurrencies marketcap and uncertainties in Bitcoin market can scare anyone not only a newbie. Actually, I want to clear you that nobody is sure regarding Bitcoin price after Segwit and at present bitcoin isn't really profitable. It is just hovering over $2200-$2500 and might decrease after Segwit. But soon everything will recover and will get back fo initial price.

So, here comes the two cases. If you want to invest for a longer time i.e. more than atleast 6 months. Then stay in Bitcoin and hold your private keys. But if you want to trade and earn profit in short term. Then you might try altcoin. But if volatility scares you. Forget about altcoin trading and have patience with bitcoins.

But if you still want to go for altcoin trading. Try with investing in some top 10 coins because might with depreciation in the price of bitcoin, some major altcoins will appreciate because volume will shift to them and can earn you a profit. Even if you encounter loss with these major Altcoins, it wouldn't be much and can recover. Stay away from coins with low volume which are easy target of pumps and dumps as for a start.

just being on top of the market cap list does NOT mean they are a good investment. and it certainly does NOT mean they are not shitcoins.
there are curretnly at least a couple of shitcoins among the top 10 coins in market cap.
and also from the top 20 i can only see 1 or 2 altcoins like LTC that are worth investing and the rest are terrible investments right now because they are getting dumped hard.

Its common in trading i was doing commodity trading like gold and silver the situation same i gone through what you mentioned. I recommend invest for long term have vision on atleast 1 year before that you get profit then take it . So that you will not get panic frequently everyday.

If we want a easy money or an instant income we qill really get panicked since we wanted a early vision pf our investment bit in a long run you will realize that their price will have a greater value as time passed by like what new coins before that started in some icos they ate now in good position now in exchanges.

As you have told us that you're newbie, I'm recommending you to invest in altcoins that are already in market so things wouldn't be complicated for you. Once you have enought knowledge how ICO works and what are the things should be consider, that's the time it's good for you to invest in ICO.

I understand what you feel but you need to be strong to face this challenges in the crypto to survive because it's going to be a long ride and a lot
of unexpected things that might happen along the way.

With your question, I guess you did a a right choice with choosing edgeless because gambling industry is one of the biggest market in crypto and edgeless will soon release a good news on their licensing which will eventually increase the price or might go to the moon on that matter.
