Title: Are my bitcoins gone? Post by: Orbiter on June 20, 2011, 07:55:57 PM I have taken action and made a "savings account" on a newly formatted laptop with ubuntu installed.I transferred some bitcoins from my original wallet to my new savings account wallet about 20 minutes ago, but have yet to see anything appear in my savings wallet. The transaction now has 6 confirmations and it's sent to the right address.

The bitcoin client will have to catch upt to the current block number, which is ~130000. So just wait, let your computer download the blocks, and you will see your bitcoins.
