Title: What to Mine???
Post by: Dukebit on July 12, 2017, 11:14:30 AM
 :-\  Good day Folks

Will someone be able to perhaps assist or share some experience on which coins to mine with which GPU's ?

I have a pc with 2 GPU's -  Radeon RX 570 4Gb and R9 280x oc 3Gb - What will I be able to mine which will be profitable ?

I have tried Nicehash Miner but not working that well, the RX 570 gets about $1.8 per day mining Ethereum and the R9 gets about $0.20 per day mining Decred.

I'm sure I'll be able to do better on other mining programs mining something else perhaps ? Using Windows 10.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm only starting with mining now.

Thank you

Duke

You could literally have typed the title of your post into Google and found this site as the first result: https://whattomine.com/

If you have an RX 570, choose 470 on that site, they are close enough. That site will get you started.

Next time, please do a bit of your own research first. Not only will you learn more that way, you will probably get an answer faster than waiting for someone to reply on a forum. And many people don't really like to answer if it doesn't look like you've put any time into it yourself first and just want everyone else to do the work for you.

best option is eth+dcr mining with both cards using claymore's dual miner.

another than this .. you can try out boolberry mining .. but since there is not hashrate statistics for decent cards i cant say you will gain more profit or not.

There are quiet a few decent ones, take your pick from ethereum, ethereum classic, zcash, waves, monero. The best would be Eth and monero.

You can mine eth+dcr with Claymore software or try Winminer Software

Ethereum, ethereum classic, zcash, waves, monero. The best would be Eth and monero.

Is it possible to mine Ethereum + monero in the dual mining mode? I'm minig Ethereum + sia but currently is not profitable.

OP I'm looking for a good idea too, nowadays mining is not profitable and I'm thinking to sell the whole mining rig !
But some of my friends are continuing their mining even it is not profitable for them but they are not selling their coins too. They just keep saving them for better prices in near future.

Sell your rigs, best option right now.

UBIQ is good choice nowadays..

Check out this UBIQ pool (Min. payout threshold: 1 UBQ) :

http://ubq.altpools.xyz

Claymore Dual miner :

EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool ubq.altpools.xyz:8008 -ewal YOUR_UBQ_ADDRESS -eworker RIG_ID -epsw x -allpools 1 -allcoins 1

REMEMBER to replace YOUR_UBQ_ADDRESS with your own UBIQ WALLET ADDRESS (Get yours @ www.bittrex.com (http://www.bittrex.com))

These threads are beyond speculative. Literally stopped reading through a lot of the forum to do my own research.
I'm mining right now at a pretty strong level, strategizing, and earning. If you're not in it for the long haul.. get off the train

Hi Folks, I've tried the Claymore dual miner for eth+ decred but for some reason the I keep getting rejected shares with the 280x on decred? not sure why.
With the RX 570 I get like 23mh/s on the Eth. I seems like the RX570 is mining Eth and the 280x decred. I seems like these two GPU's are not profitable to mine with or I probably started mining at the wrong time   :-[

Anyone tried Minergate smart miner ? or would anyone recommend minergate ?

I couldn't agree more. My whole strategy is long. Long term investments will win this race, IMHO.
