Title: What is the difference between Sia, MaidSafe and StorJ
Post by: tyz on July 12, 2017, 05:25:24 PM
I am thinking about migrating my cloud data from Amazon to a blockchain-based solution. That's why I got closer to Sia, StorJ and MaidSafe. All offer similar solutions. But what are the exact differences and which do you think is the better solution to store - let's say - 50 GB of pictures and other data?

Further, I would like to know if any of the above mentioned projects supports decryption tools like cryptomator (https://cryptomator.org/) or boxcryptor (https://www.boxcryptor.com/).

Maidsafe isn't using blockchain for consensus.

Here is a link to a comparison of all three that may help you in deciding.

Also the SAFE Network, Maidsafe's creation, isn't live yet and only in testing right which means any data stored on the networks will be lost if the network is restarted. The network will be restarted occasionally until testing is completed.
