Title: Can Blocks Still Be Minded During The BIP48 Hard Fork? Post by: jackg on July 12, 2017, 09:34:51 PM I have ~9000GHs on Hashnest and am wondering if these miners will continue mining throughout the changeover.
I assume the split will happen instantaneously around the 1st of August (possibly +/- 24 hours) but will this effect the rate blocks are mined by the large pools. I have previously viewed this (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2012799.0) guide but it seems to be limited as to this information. It really depends on what you decide to support, it is possible that there will be a chain split because UASF is a timed activated soft fork. One chain will be Segwit and the other will either be Bitmain ABC or the original chain. So choose carefully.

One chain will be Segwit and the other will either be Bitmain ABC or the original chain. So choose carefully. Presumably the "NEW" coin is the segwit one which will be used to replace Bitcoin. And the other two are what are currently in use. And yes it is a soft fork. |
