Becouse it more undestandable. Segwit it fail try to prevent BITCOIN CLASSIC existince. Segwit posible to do with litecoin, becouse litecoin have almost empty blocks, and in fact have zero segwit style transactions. And segwit doesn't really solve anything because, as more and more transactions get recorded on the blockchain, the size of the blocks will have to increase anyway.
Bitcoin Unlimited scaling up the blocksize makes sense, and it'll be good practice for when they have to scale up the blocksize again and again as Bitcoin becomes more and more popular/accepted. And both are really hard to fully understand, because of very hard math. Segwit can be understood by some simplification quite all right. And it will be a temporary decision anyway, because eventually the blocks will still become full. As for BU, this idea of flexible transactions is hardly understood. Plus, one has to upgrade software necessarily to BU, because it is not similar to btc we have now. This will result in a hard fork and that is not likely to influence the price in a good way, you know.
