Title: How many days does it take to learn ICO and Bitcoin on your own?
Post by: Susie_Mich on July 14, 2017, 07:04:35 PM
Are you still learning?
For example, I have learnt the base of it for 5 days, but every new article or news are lessons for me.
How do you "upgrade" your knowledge?

If you already have a little experience it will be kind of easy to catch up. But the point is exercise is what is making you a real coin developer.

For example from my point of view, I tried to learn a few months ago and it took only a few hours. I am in crypto world since 2012 and I know how it works so it is all just about you.

To learn Bitcoin for example just go and read the white paper. About ICO's first you must learn what type of coins you can create and so on. There are too many details to write in a post.

But monsieur, what I can say is that all the info are already on internet. I believe that the exercise is the perfect way of learning.

It's important to keep reading white papers that discuss new technologies, I think the most interesting subjects are Proof of Stake and the Lightning Network. Twitter is great to follow advancements in both. Regarding ICOs, best to just read white papers as long as the coin isn't some joke.

Just be on it everyday and soon you will not noticed that you are gaining ideas and knowledge about crypto.

For example in trades, learned the basic like how to start etc. and start doing actual trades. While on progress, you will eventually learned some of the trading terms and some ways to analyzed the market. Another example in your entering in bitcoin world, you don't know anything about bitcoin and just began reading basics classification and simple explanation about that. As long as you doing studies and any related thing to bitcoin, you will eventually learned what is this all about.

And that set of examples can also be applied to when learning about ICO project and related terms.

Once you have learnt the basics you won't have any problem in learning the new things added to bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency. So the very first thing is to be well versed in basics and that's true of anything in this world. It depends on your own learning skills how much time you take to understand and learn it varies from person to person. Internet is like a ocean of knowledge and you may keep yourself update with anything you have a keen interest in these days.

I wouldn't try to put a time scale on learning something like this, as that's going to change from person to person depending on how fast they learn new things. I'm just going to be putting this into perspective for a second, I'm not new to the Bitcoin community and have been here for a long time -- even someone like me really doesn't understand everything that comes in regard to Bitcoin, I am really not even one to understand the consenus things that much.

I'd think trying to learn about Bitcoin is tough, but there is a lot of materials that could help -- comparing this to the learning of a random ICO I would say the ICO is bound to be harder as you're going in blind on the currency itself.

So, yet again with all of this it's bound on the person and how much time they put into learning.

It depends on what you mean by "learn". If it's only basics, than a few days would be enough, but if you mean a deep understanding of cryptography and decentralized networks, than it might take a couple of months, providing that you already have a background in programming, math, networking. If you don't have that knowledge, it would be extremely hard to study cryptocurrencies.

Interesting question, it totally depend on your purpose. What do you need? Just theoretical information or practical and fundamentals?

You can learn everything about ico and bitcoin in one day but this doesn't work in practise.

It takes time, you can learn the basics behind it rather easily but a deeper knowledge requires time and patience. It can take years depending on how fast you grasp things
