I put all my BTC and ETH to XRP (Ripple)
- marketcap from 114 billion to 74 billion.


I think my btc and eth getting a huge dump the following weeks.

They are already dumping. But ripple is more or less consistent.

You think XRP isn't ? Sold most of my ETH and invested the same in XRP,suprise,it is falling down too! How long does one even hold until they make some pennies out of shit coins I wonder.

BTC is down only 33% from it's ATH, whereas ETH and XRP are down 55-60% from it's ATH. Other alt's are down 60-70% from their respective ATH's. BTC is the biggest gainer here. You should have hodl'ed your BTC.

i don't know why everyone is trying to keep LTC under the rug :D
i have been watching it for the past few days and it is holding itself up pretty nicely. the price is still near the ATH (0.022) and it is currently at 0.019BTC

i don't know about OP but other altcoins have nothing going on for them. they are just the same altcoins that they were before. only for speculation. and are already pumped.
but litecoin has a lot going for it. with the SegWit, LN and the atomic swap things are looking pretty awesome in my opinion.

and before you guess it, i have invested all my trading funds in LTC and sold all the rest of the altcoins.

Not me, I exchange my btc into currency, not coins. I believe btc impact will dump coins too, there's connection within them. There's no doubt, currency is more safety than coin today. Big speculation will crush bitcoin & altcoin price. After August 2017 we can back again into btc and altcoin to make profit. Good luck.

Why not divirsify on some more coins? There are a lot of pontet coins. Why put it all in 1 basket?

you should have put that on tezos, to be honest it's the biggest ico and have nice future, everyone is investing there, and now with everything sinking, you have a safe bet with Tezos, but if you fear the upcoming split, why not dump your bitcoin on exchange and stay with fiat only, while they fix the chain split issue? it's a better strategy

Fuck ripple. Banker trash. Not even a blockchain. I don't care if it turns to be the safe haven while this shitshow ensues, im not buying single coin from that thing. There's nowhere to go anyway. All the coins are going fucked red. The hardforkers need a bullet to the brain for this.

The dump is happening and ripple is not exempted as for the past seven days ripple has lost over 22% equivalent to the amount bitcoin has lost and Ethereum following behind. The whole cryptocurrency is currently getting dump and we most not follow the wing as this is the best time to buy all of them cheap with fiat.

I wouldn't touch Ripple. There are no controls on inflation. The Ripple team can arbitrarily decide to issue new Ripple any time they want. They'll just create huge amounts of new Ripple any time a price increase happens.

Good choice to leave BTC when its already dropping as we're just a fortnight away from the hard fork. Ethereum seems like a great choice but I wouldn't rely on Ripple because the devs can cause a volatility by just issuing new coins as and when they want and they will be waiting for a price rise like this one to do it.

It's pretty funny how we start going through a correction and some uncertainty (like that hasn't existed with BTC or ETH before), and the panic sets in.

It's a shame to see someone give up on decentralized cryptocurrency.

It is not decentralized and controlled by banks, but still it is much more scalable than BTC or LTC and it is faster and cheaper.

I don't know why people keep saying XRP supply is infinite when there is a fixed number that were created at Ripple's inception and no more allowed to be created by protocol's rules.
Also XRP is deflationary (small amount of XRP gets destroyed with each transaction).

I've nothing against ethereum but why nobody complains when, afaik, there is no hard cap.

Mayve we don't saw what he saw in ripple but i do believe also in ripples existence in top market in the future somehow it is much better not only to invest on that two cryptocurrencies to havea lesser risk of losing.

The thing is that it is controlled by banks. And when they decide that they need some more money, they could generate new ripple.
Like government can press new money if they need it.

You guys take any currency right now but it will for sure go down or should I say going down. It's better to keep the stakes on big bulls that is bitcoin and ether only. There was a time where Ethereum was also just a new altcoin. Now it is a very solid one. So why not buying some cheap Stratis for example if you believe in the project?

The code is open source you can inspect it.
Even if you think they could do that, that would be totally counterproductive for them and would ruin the credibility/trust people put into it.

Not good. I'm not a big fan of Ethereum, but XRP is worse. Also, Bitcoin may have its time when the dust settles.

if i were you i would stick with btc if you dont currently holding a huge amount of money go for ethereum people are dumping it because of august 1 it will recover immediately after the dump , if your mind changed to other altcoin go for IOTA instead

Since last month the Crypto maket have not been funny, so many downs and little ups.
Altcoins have had a fair share of that too, investing in Ripple is not a guaranteed mission it keeps dropping over the last few days.

According to me its not a good decision to invest all your money into a single coin if you want to convert your BTC do it wisely take some solid coins to invest and than divide into them equally because depending on one coin is not good way here if something wrong happen with that coin you will loose all so better to divide your investment so it will be a safer way. And ripple is a good coin if we saw for a long term purpose.

Not good idea guys. I think bitcoin always stands a chance here and you just blew yourself by putting all your stakes into ripple thing. You could have waited until august  to pass and let know what are the end results for it. They are for sure going to be positive about the bitcoin which will gain more and more price after august. I'm not pulling this subject anymore because bitcoin is what it is. :-)

I don't know why but I've been talking to a lot of guys who have been in crypto forever, and they don't like XRP. When I ask why, they can't give a definite answer, just that "they don't believe it'll hold on a long run". I honestly can't find anything wrong with it, and I would even consider it less risky than other alt, since some bigger exchanges are already introducing XRP trading...

Ripple is on the dumping ground right now and may not get support for some time. I don't suggest anyone to invest everything in one coin, diversification is must these days to keep yourself out of losses.

I think they don't like banks.. I think they want unbank somehow ???
I also like Bitcoin and Many others.
But Ripple have a very good solution for banks..

There's the risk-taker. I wish you luck with your decision. What you did was a really huge step. But it was sort of not the thing for many. To have a diverse investment is encouraged. But I know you did your assignment in doing some background check of actual Ripple updates. I trust the coin also. I hope you will end up very proud with it.

Just like any coin . Product might be good and all, but if no one adopts it then it will fizzle. I believe in it so I hold a fraction of my portfolio in XRP but not a large portion. Just in case it doesnt catch on with the banks for a long time. Good luck to you mates.

That was a great risk for you to put all your BTC and ETH into XRP, though there are other coins that have great advantage in the future but Ripple is actually not a bad choice. You just have to wait for a couple of years for your earnings to progress but if you don't need that money intended for Ripple then I think you're good to go.

XRP is good, a lot of banks related to it. You can hold it for long term .

I can't say that what you did was a wrong move but truly it was the greatest risk i've ever seen. Despite the uncertainties of the xrp, you still chose to invest on it. Though xrp nowadays are being linked to banks who takes ripple as part of its system, the future of xrp is still uncertain.

my advise is don't put all your coins in one pocket you will lose everything when the pocket is gone. the to invest in other good performing alt-coins,XRP is good but it is much be safer than sorry and besides not all XRP coins are circulated only 1/3 of that circulation are for trading and exchanges the rest are for banking and finance transaction except to those initial allotment for core developer and core group.

i did kept some xrp for myslef just incase it would suddenly rise though but really xrp has tested  peoples patience for months already and it could take a year.  maybe SEC will eventually help it soon.

The ATH in fiat is closer as some might think. In europe the ATH was 38 cent. Now we are at 20 cent again. Will BTC stagnate, a price of 0,00011 BTC will match the ATH (in fiat) in may this year, when the price of XRP hit the 0,00024 BTC. Will XRP reach its ATH in BTC, the price in fiat will be 84 cent - under the premise, that the price of BTC will stay unchanged.

Yes, I meant ATH in fiat. ATH in BTC might be some time away. But then again, this is all guesswork. Who knows where we'll be by the end of the year and after part 2 of segwit?

Considering, XRP was worth 8600 Satoshis on the date this thread was made and is now worth 5800 Satoshis after a MASSIVE pump, I think it's way too early to declare victory.  

Agree its a long term investment, but I think it's a much less riskier investment than a good 90% of the ICOs that are currently starting.

Top coins for mid risk are
Ripple
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Monero

Potentially higher return but much more riskier are things like
EOS
Bitcoin Cash
Every single crazy ICO with a good white paper

Ones that are insanely high risk are those moronic ICOs that have a 98% chance of being a scam, I saw one the other day that wanted to create a space company and send rockets to mars. Saying that, these are the ones that have 2000x return if not a scam and gets traction.

If bitcoin or altcoins are lower in price, then it seems to me that there is no need to panic and immediately try to discard them. The digital currency has a high volatility and therefore a sharp exchange rate is permissible. In the long run they will bring profit.

Put all your bitcoins and etherium in XRP in my opinion is not clever. First, it is very risky to invest everything in one coin, no matter how promising it was. Secondly, to move the best digital currencies for long-term investment into another altcoyin, this is also not clever. And, thirdly, in comparison with bitcoin and etherium, XRP does not rise so much in price. I personally do not understand the essence of such a decision.

This is one of the reason I don't keep a lot of altcoins. There's a lot of alt coin and most of the are just shit coins, only few are stable and worth investing. Maybe I will just focus on bitcoin for this whole year and might invest on altcoins when bitcoin price becomes steady. I'm reading a lot of complains and speculations about altcoins everywhere, and it's making me confused which altcoin is good for investment.

That's a real bad idea. Diversification is key even more so with crypto-currencies and their incredible volatility compared to traditional investments. My advice is to convert some of your XRP back to BTC asap.

I lost all faith in Ripple.. I was a big ripple supporter then i kept loosing more and more of my $.
I was a HODLER and had several thousand, i ended up cashing out at a loss of at least 20% put that into a new coin and recaptured my losses.. (MCO recent spike got me my profits back)
I still believe they could have made it to .50¢ or $1 but the time it would take to get there, who knows...

I think that's why they don't advice to invest all your money or focus in just one coin. The safest way to invest in alt coin is to invest in a lot of coin and not to focus in just one coin. There's a lot of coin out there and most of them are pumped and dumped. Altcoins are volatile, well since you've invested a lot of money on just one coin. I think you should just wait for it to be pumped.

I strongly believe in all three of the coins, but I doubt that all will stay alive in the near future.

Xrp has lot of internal issues they are facing various lawsuit one of them is worst 'Ripple will have to give 1 billion worth of xrp at rate of $0.0085'. Now imagine if this lawsuit doesn't turn in favour of them a potential market crash can occur already one of the co-owner has the right to sell $25k per week or something. They did escrow the excess supply but not to forget it still exists and can be a threat to the price.
Some do speculate for the price to reach $1 but it has lot of risks involved.

Ripple is a really good and promising coin. It was created to serve the intrabank system with the aim of speeding up the time of transfers from one bank to another on any point of the globe. The current SWIFT program used in the banking system is too slow. However, I would not become bitcoins and translate the ethereum into this coin. Ripple has not yet fully manifested itself and stumbles on the spot, while bitcoin shows good results and provides its holders with a good profit.

I buy about 3500 Ripple (XRP) when their price at 6500 Satoshi and than the price is falling down till now

Ripple tokens will be more valuable in the future once the bank are adopting them. Ripple is much faster than BTC and ETH in terms of transaction. I do see XRP reaching $1 in the future. However, I would not crazy to put everything in one token, especially BTC & ETH are tops of the market.

Ripple is an innovative coin for servicing the banking sector with a view to the most rapid transfer of money within the banking system. The SWIFT method used by banks is very slow and technologically obsolete. Ripple blowjob with blocking technology allows you to transfer money to anywhere in the world in seconds. However, despite its prospects, I would not invest all my crypto-currency funds in one coin. This is very risky.

I think Ripple can be much bigger in the future. Now Ripple has +100 banks.. More will come.

Yeah you are right,XRP price keeps increasing while other coins are dumping and it tansaction time is very fast,So in future the price will get more expensive and it is better to grab some XRP at the current price.

Looks like the Banks at the end of the day have the most money so they will back one coin they like and that is RIPPLE, THE banker's choice, so in the end the banks always win. People in crypto are so fickle and are mostly in it for a quick buck, but banks once they back something they get loyal to their cause and put all their hardcore money behind it and now RIPPLE has mooned and I have no Ripples and it sucks lol.  ;D
