I received the same message last night. I check the ROI for this unit through nicehash profitability calculator. ROI is ~7 months. Is it worth it?

Hi, the ROI calculation isn't correct because don't consider the DIFF increment of the network, especially X11 network, that has doubled DIFF in the past months.

How is Bitmain able to make a miner that is SO superior to the competition?  It stuns me every time.

BAIKAL are good products but now are obsolete miner at $3.50/Mhs when other competitors offer miners at $0.55/Mhs or $0.18/Mhs.

any word on the price of this unit now that Antminer D3 and the A5 are coming out?  $7000 is clearly not sustainable when D3 is $2700 for 15gh/s.

Innosilicon A5 30 GHS is on sale now at $9999.00 plus shipping and power supply and you have to order 3 units minimum meaning 30k for 1 order.

Baikal Giant+ is currently quoted for 4000 USD.

i got an email saying this as well but i'm suspicious that baikal would ever bother to e-mail me let alone tell me the time of day it is.

if theyre reaching out to people, i could be wrong, but that seems like a bad sign compared to there past handling. if they aren't selling out instantly then ill assume these machines arent cutting edge

I overpaid about 700$ on my last order as well because of differences in BTC price, but 2700$ is... you could have gotten an Antminer D3 for that price lol!

Miners search for most profitable algos so for most profitable ones its capacity is too limited. Even at $4000 its costly. It shouldn't be over $1000 to $1500 or if they want $7000 they can unleash 30,000 MHs and they would be justified to take such a price.

Never buy their ASIC. Rip-off!!

Baikal was and is the scum of the earth. Pinidea is done as it never had the skills to put its shit together. People have short term memories. I'll never forget how they fked early ibelink investors. Now it's payback time i just hope iBelink, Bitmain and Inno make sure they disappear just like pinidea. As for those who keep buying their shit at their ridiculous prices you really deserve to lose on this one.

With 7000USD the price was really a way too high but now for 4000USD it is really worth to buy that machine.
Yeah x11 is worthless with that machine if we have look on all the other AsicCompanys but it is the only Company which produces Very good Quark/Qubit Asics with a nice low power consumption and this machine even has a more efectiv power consumption than the last machines from baikal.
All offered x11 miner from other AsicCompanys can only do x11, i think thats a heavy fact that the most people forget about it.
X11 Hashrates and especially the Dash NetHashrate will exploe in august and september.

I can feel with the people who buyed that machine in the past week for 7000USD....it is heavy now for 3000USD less,thats about 15 ETH.

I see Baikal pulled the price from the web page... I would be too embarrassed to publish that price too... Just insane, the Giant+ will need to be slashed dramatically if they want to sell them.  $7k??? LOL

In this fast changing market and increasing difficulty/hash rates we need machine payback in 1 month or at maximum 2 months, but ideally 1 month because theoretically 1 month on calculators is practically 2 months due to alot of machines turning on and other providers also releasing high end equipments.

Baikal need to be wise which i hope they will be.

but the power consumption of the baikal is less than half so wouldnt it still be more profitable?

2 GH/s at 430w = 0.215w per MH/s

30 GH/s at 750w = 0.025w per MH/s

15 GH/s at 1200w = 0.08w per MH/s

The Baikal appears to be most power inefficient one of all.

They are definetly expensive at 4k but they have some value for sure.
Those extra algos might be worth more around 2k

X11 is total is mess NOW！！！ there also 30G from another manufactuer will come, 15G price drop to 1599usd before sending our their first batch of 2699usd.and I am hearing rumor or truth of a miner with 50G hash.

wtf. stay away from X11 now, all future miner is a gambling if you buy now.

newbie question: apart from Baikal miners, are there any other ASIC miners out there that can do both X11 and X13 algos?

Well, i just heard from my sources that Baikal is planning to release Baikal MEGA MINER, so i would HODL for now  ;)

How reliable is this source?  Any time frames mentioned for this MEGA?  This would be good news for Baikal if true and if soon.

The news from this source have been reliable in past. But there is no timeline as apparently baikal first wants its existing stock sold out while Mega Miners mine profits for them.

So they want us to buy all their overpriced machines while they mine with better rigs before releasing the better rigs to the people? Sounds like a great deal!!!

It wouldnt surprise me that baikal would try to pull this kind of shit.
I bought a miner at 7k and was so mad when they lowered their price.

I contacted and they are selling these for 2000 now if you place an order of 100. Is it worth it?

Worst company ever. They agreed to a price and then changed their mind. 2 days later offered that price. Agreed to another price and then said it was a mistake.

They are clueless and are going to piss every customer they have off.

Not worth my time.

The long and short of it is NO.  100 units... they will have a hard time selling individual units for that price.  They are about to be crushed under a flood of mega monster miners. 

I just ordered a Baikal Giant+ miner myself I think it is worth it to get a few more weeks of mining dash at current difficulty before the price goes skyrocketing (Which is what I'm hoping for) so I think it is a gamble but I also think it is a good risk vs reward gamble 4000 for a miner that could possibly net that ROI in a few weeks (as I suspect dash price to increase 10 fold everything is rising right now like crazy).

Also not for nothing but I have been exchanging emails with baikal for a few weeks now and they are very quick at responding even though english is not their first language the fact that they respond very quickly is a huge PRO in my book for them. Contacting bitmain takes at least 5 days to get a response and by that time I completely forgot what I had even emailed them about.

I contacted them, and they said:

There are vendors offering a single unit price shipped of $2600.  And there isn't any group buy that I am aware of going on for the Giant+ on this forum.  So what you were just told is what I would call a lie.  And they can't even keep their pricing straight.  This is exactly why people are so pissed off at them.   

I would have setup a group buy for them here on this forum because my dealings with them in the past HAD been good.  However that all vanished when they became rock stars for a short while and they were the only game in town.  Then they wouldn't talk to anyone.  Then when they did setup a group buy with someone on this forum it wasn't really a group buy, but a negotiated price at which the forum member could mark up the price substantially and pocket the difference.  It wasn't a group buy, but a reseller activity that was screwing the forum members.  As soon as the word got out that the street price about the same price as the group buy the forum member screwing the community suddenly ended the group buy.  Baikal has treated everyone who has tried to work with them and even help them badly and I don't think they understand the ramifications of their actions. 

Now all the mega miners show up, and Baikal's Giant+ are about to be crushed by the hash rate.  They have been mining these 2gh miners but now they know they will not be profitable for much longer so now is the time to dump them on the rest of us.

Sadly the price isn't even in the ball park.  Anyone doing the math sees today you would earn a little over $20 a day with that miner, you got maybe 30 days before the first massive waves from Bitmain hit.  You already have waves of iBelink miners landing. 

So let's do some really basic math, even if by some MIRACLE you were able to continue making 20 a day your talking 150 days before ROI with a $3000 price tag.  You aren't going to get 150 days making 20 a day... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the math don't add up.  Your talking well over a year to see ROI if you are lucky that these miners stay profitable at all.

This isn't that hard.  I know the ballpark of what the miner will be earning because I have the first generation Giant and I am watching those getting crushed already.  So if you think the earning power on the Giant+ is going to defy diff and somehow pull off a miracle for you then by all means get your order in now.

Some of us are just trying to help.  Until Baikal can deal honestly and fairly with the forum and can learn to communicate and work with us I am not in any rush to help them.  They have been laughing all the way to the bank and now the party is coming to an end for the Giant+ until they can get a bigger, better, badder miner built and then they will vanish again as they are too busy mining to deal with customers.

They have burned a lot of bridges and this is yet another example of why people are very angry with them.  They have a lot of work to do if they want to repair their relationship with this forum.

Yeah everyone basically saying fuck you to them. They treated everyone like dirt. Would not allow any pre-orders. When the coin went up they stopped selling the product altogether. Than after Bitmain and others come out with miners they ask a ridiculous price for the miner.  After all the treatment and lies and scams.. I really would not be surprised if they were doing the scamming themselves so they could make more money by selling nothing!

Why else would they keep orders on Skype where there was at least a dozen con artists?  Because they were the con artists and could claim you were scammed sorry next..
