Title: 2x MSI RX 480 Gaming X 8GB - Only 27.5Mh/s for GPU
Post by: msmartins on July 15, 2017, 02:16:39 PM
Hi,

I'm using ethOS+claymore and I already tried several modded roms and the max I can achieve is 28,5Mh/s (each GPU) with anorak memshift rom (https://anorak.tech/t/msi-rx-480-gaming-x/4993), but I got several incorrect shares so I downed the mem from 2000 to 1950 (the only change I made on gpu settings with the modded rom) and now I can get stable 27,5Mh/s for GPU (55Mh/s total) with 400w on the wall.

There are several posts in the internet with people getting +30Mh/s and with lower energy consumption, and I already tried their modded roms but without any good results, what is wrong with my setup?

Can anyone help me to get +30Mh/s on ethOS?

Thank you.

1. not every card can give same amount of hash, even if same model
2. cards that hashed at 30mhs 2 months ago, now hash near 29mhs because of dag > 2gb

go back to stock clocks

use msi afterburner

see what you get.

I owned 28 of them and used to get  29 at stock clocks using msi afterburner.

I did lower clocks  and settled at 27  at 150 watts.

I suspect you have poor flashing issue.

and the dag has increased over time.

My cards could do 1200 core
and 2200 memory  using msi afterburner with stock bios

you are have trouble with over 2000 memory  that seems wrong to me.
