Today starts the UEFA Women's EURO 2017 in the Netherlands. I created this thread in oder to discuss about matches and bets concerning the matches of the tournament.

Todays matches are host Netherlands vs Norway and Denmark vs Belgium. For women, there are even greater differences among teams than among men. That is why I think that Norway and Denmark will win. I put small bets on the teams.

Unfortunately, one bet was lost and one was won. Denmark won 1-0 over Belgium as expected. Norway, however, lost against the host the Netherlands. Match ended 1-0 as well.

Matches of today:

Italia vs Russia
I do not really know both teams in Women's soccer. From the statistics, Italy is the favorite. Odds are not that good. In the past matches of both teams, there were always more than three goals, so I go for over 2.5 goals @ 1.82. Let's see if it works out :)

Germany vs Sweden
Germany is for me the clear favorite for the victory. Sweden is a strong opponent in women's football but I think Germany will win. That's why I bet at odds of 1.54

I don't know the participating countries in this tournament and their strengths but am sure that the Germans are going to emerge victorious at the end of the competition.  They are the best footballing country in the entire world at the moment.

and me too that i do not know the strength for each teams but with 6 consecutive became the champion i think Germany will be strong opponent for every participants even more likely they will be the champion again

 

The Netherlands, Germany, France and England were the seeded teams and so they must be the strongest amongst the lot and so I hope for a successful tournament for our girls as we enjoy the summer together.

Ok today's games in group c  will be
1. Austria vs Switzerland
2. France vs Iceland

I know the French women team are quite good and can defeat Iceland but u don't know if what could be the outcome if the first game but I'll just enjoy them and probably start betting after that he first round of matches in order to have a full assessment of all the participating teams.

it's very difficult to defeat Germany currently and maybe as the host team Netherlands also could be consider as strong team too but if i'm not mistaken that during their participant for UEFA Women's EURO cup Germany is the most success team with 8 times lift the trophy so i think one place to the final match will belongs to them

France is the tournament favorite along with Germany. In my opinion Germany a bit better, but the team is very young and unexperienced.

I bet on over 2.5 goals on France vs Iceland @ 1.67. Normally I would go for a win of France but odds are 1.16 at the moment, what is bad.

Austria vs Switzerland is hard to predict for me. Both teams do not belong to the top group in women's soccer. The statistics say that the past matches were mostly won by Switzerland, so I go for a win of Switzerland at 1.81.

I was too busy yesterday so I forgot to bet on the matches. It is sad because I would have gone for England and Spain which both won their matches.
Today the second match day in preliminary round starts.

Norway vs Belgium
Not easy to guess. Normally Norway is the better team, but they disappointed me with a weak performance on match against The Netherlands. On the other hand Belgium is a surprise box. Therefore I set a small amount on a risky bet. Double chance win or draw Belgium @ 2.84

The Netherlands vs Denmark
Both teams won their respective first match with 1 - 0. I watched both matches and I observed a good defense on both sides. They have a similar strategy by defending and trying to hit by starting sudden counter attacks. Usually, such a combination gives not many goals, so I go for under 3.5 goals @ 1.52

Two good picks yesterday. Won both bets. Belgium vs Norway ended 2-0 and the Netherlands won 1-0 over Denmark. Made a nice profit.

Hope my lucky streak continues  :) My picks for today.

Sweden vs Russia
I would go for Sweden when the odds would not be so low (@1.22). Both teams have shown good attacking football with many chances, so I expect some goals. I go for over 2.5 goals @1.83.

Germany vs Italy
Italy showed a bad disappointing performance in the first match. There I do not expect that they will have a chance against Germany. The odds underscore this (@1.15 for a win of Germany). Therfore I go for 0:1 handicap of Germany @1.46.

Germany Vs Italy
Germany drew their first game against Sweden in a game where they created a lot of chances but failed to utilise them, whiles Italy lost against Russia, with the head to head between these two sides, Italy have not been able to win a single game against the Germans ever, They have lost all three games against them. Tipping a German victory

UEFA Women's is unknown territory to me, for all my interest in football but will nevertheless attempt some amateur picks.

Bookie favourites are Germany and France, and although women's football tends to be slightly more predictable in my experience, I would avoid betting on them even at this stage they only have just over 2.5 odds on each.

Germany are overwhelmingly expected to beat Italy today, so that's an easy pick. How about we go for a Over 2.5 goals in this match?

Well, beginner's luck maybe? Germany made hard work of doing the expected but seems I snagged a good tip of Over 2.5 goals with theri 2-1 win over Italy!

Sweden also posted their expected win. So all is still predictable here.

Today's matches are too risky for me to make outright wins for such small returns, especially given how hard it seemed for even Germany to beat down Italy.

So I'm going to go with a parlay on Scotland (1.3) and Sweden (1.25) to both win for a total value of 1.625. A small hedge bet on Portugal to win at x14 also looks good.

Quarter finals start today. I bet on both matches, although it was really hard to find a bet with good profit/risk ratio.


The Netherlands vs Sweden
Usually Sweden would be the favorite team for this match and I would also usually bet on a win of Sweden. But the Dutch are host and they have shown such a good performance that I am not sure Sweden will make it. I decided to take the double chance for draw or win of Sweden in the regular time @ 1.67

Germany vs Denmark
Same hear. Usually Germany is clear favorite. But the team is young and unexperienced. The performance in the last matches was not convincing while Denmark did better than many experts thought. Both teams have a good defense and score not many goals so I go for under 2.5 goals in the regular time.  @1.72

For an Inexperienced team, the Germans have managed to win two games and drawn one whiles the Danes have lost one and won the other team, I believe that the Germans are clear favorites and even their "inexperience" will not hinder them from achieving victory in today's game.

I think the games has been postponed due to rains.

I think its a good bet for Germans for me as well. They have showed a good playing style eventhough they are inexperienced. But we shall lived another day before seeing this match.

The game was previously postponed but it is on right now with the Germans in lead courtesy of an early goal scored in the third minute of the first half by left back Isabel Kerschowski who scored from outside the box. They have dominated the entire game and i believe more goals will come from the Germans after the break.

I can see that the Danes just equalized after they returned from the break and the match is now in the dying minutes, I am sure we are going to see a penalty shootout and we all know that the Germans are the best penalty taking people in the entire world. Still going for a German win.

Germany lost. This is really a surprise. They showed an unexpected awful performance. The Danes absolutely afforded to win this match. I do not really know what happened with the German team.

I do not going to bet on the matches today since I stopped betting due to the 1st August is nearing. I think Spain will win over Austria and France will make it against England.

All Group B teams were eliminated from the tournament after Denmark beat Germany in the quarterfinals.

Yikes. I actually thought the odds weren't too poor for the Germany win but only saved myself a loss because I emptied out all my sportsbooks to wait for Aug 1. Seventh time unlucky for the holders after all.

It's going to be Netherlands England, and then Denmark Austria shall I say? 10 minutes left on the clock and scoreless AUSTRIA - SPAIN.

Well the Danes had other ideas and pip the Germans at the death with T. Nielsen 83 minute shocker. I guess a lot of people including myself lost our bets .

Looks like I called another underdog win, the Austria - Denmark semifinal is on. Now that's a real tricky one because both shouldn't have reached that stage, but I see Denmark progressing to the final. From the other end, let's look for yet another upset as Netherlands should beat England to set up a neutral-favourite Dutch-Danish final!

How can Germany beat Germany in the quarterfinals, or we back in the cold war era, I actually lost some money on the tournament as a whole, i tipped Germany to become eventual champions and i have won twice on the games they have played so far, such a bummer

Such a bummer indeed because its my first time to beat in Women's League and I lost my first bet. Anyway, they are so ecstatic with the victory:

I really want to report these people, but every time I look at their post history there's enough to make me think they could have made an honest mistake...

This was also my first time betting on Women's football, even if I only put it down on earlier matches. Finals came at fork timing so I am all out of bets for a week.

Hope women's football comes into its own again. Did you know they used to have more supporters coming to matches in England than men's?

This evening's matches: Denmark - Austria. Impossible for me to decide as both knocked out giants to reach this stage. But I'll go with the Vikings as they're stronger and odds reflect that at 1.47. Netherlands - England, everyone is expecting NL to finally fall but I like the way they've been playing and a Dutch win at 2.3 looks very tasty.

Got lucky on the Danish call, Austria will rue the silly penalty miss from early on. Drab game and penalty shootout win. But whoa for Netherlands! England seems to emulate the men's when it comes to choking on the big stage. Guys, it's got to be Netherlands winning their maiden championship.

I must confess I would not have guessed on a final of the Netherlands vs Denmark. There were much better teams (according to FIFA world ranking list) like England, France, Germany or even Spain. Nevertheless, the Danes and the Dutch have shown the best performance and it is absolutely okay that they are in the final. The final is tomorrow and I am not sure how I will bet. I think the Dutch have a slight advantage. But I need some further thinking about it and I'll post my bet tomorrow.

Netherlands defense has been exceptionally well, England can only blame themselves. Bad defensive error and they have squandered a couple of good chances.
