Title: offline transactions Post by: kellrobinson on May 11, 2013, 08:22:57 PM I'd like to buy things from merchants who accept bitcoin. I have a Nexus 7 tablet that I want to use. I don't have a smartphone, and can't depend on always having a good wifi connection for the tablet, so I need a wallet that resides on the device and can make a transaction using QR code and/or near field. No online connection. The merchant will presumably have an internet connection and can verify receipt, which is all that's necessary. I just need a wallet that can send a coin to him without an internet connection. Do you ever make purchases this way, and what's your solution?

Theoretically/technically it would be possible, but it would require the merchant to have/create their own special software for the purpose.
