Title: What will happen to Bitcoin after August 1st?
Post by: hassanabid on July 16, 2017, 05:32:05 PM
What will happen to Bitcoin after August 1st?
Due to all news what do you think?

The good news is that each bitcoin would effectively be copied to both chains. If you hold bitcoin right now, you will hold both 148 BTC and Legacy BTC after the split.

The bad news is that this coin-split can be messy and risky. And if you’re not careful, you could lose funds.
First off, be aware that a chain-split create a high-risk situation. There is a chance that some sort of cyber-battle will break out between the two camps, perhaps even escalating to the point where bitcoin’s exchange rate(s) drops sharply, possibly to zero. Make absolutely sure you are not holding more value in bitcoin than what you are willing to lose.

If you do decide to hold onto your bitcoins, the single most important piece of advice is this: Ensure that you control your own private keys.

I think that soft fork will lead to drastic rise on crypto market.

Hard fork will lead to slow rise..

if there's a hardfork, the price may dip then will soar for the combined blockchains. If there's no hardfork, the price will go crazy to regain $3000 I believe.

currently no one has any idea that what is going on with bitcoiin, everyone eye is on 1st august, to me i think after 1st August the price of bitcoin is going to increase more and more. i am sure that even hardfork will not effect the price of bitcoin. because bitcoin has a full support of the people and investors and therefore bitcoin is still trading in a reasonable price and i am sure that it will continue increasing for a long time.

I guess it is not just about pumping it is true that in august the bitcoin could reach that price in the market if the segwit was sucessfyl like what happened in litecoin but it could also be the opposite so it could also be a great dump in the market .

Bitcoin will remain as it is. It may experience some changes. But its popularity and adaptatio to many countries will lead bitcoin to soar higher. It is natural to go down sometimes and regain its worth.

Nothing will happen with bitcoin. You can not even doubt it. Perhaps the miners will experience some difficulties, but situations without an exit does not happen. I am sure that they too will find the solution in order not to lose interest in the service transaction.

I believe bitcoin will be stronger in terms of value after 1st August meeting because the right decision for bitcoin growth and expansion will be taken at the meeting. Although there might be a decline in the market value of Bitcoin just as we are seeing now as a result of fear of the unknown. But I believe bitcoin will be stronger in terms of value more than what we are experiencing now.

It's really unpredictable.
Anything could happens and lots of possibilities.
The price might go up to the moon or the other way round.

We dont know what will happen in the price of bitcoin after august 1 once segwit approve for sure the price will decrease but dont worry because it will recover agaib like today the price will recover compared to the price of last few days. So buy more bitcoin and for sure you will earn a lot of money after few months of holding bitcoin. Hold your bitcoin and keep it and dont sell it.

bitcoin price is now facing and we cannot make a fix prediction about bitcoin and the price of the bitcoin so I think the price of the bitcoin is unpredictable it can be change any time but as we know that the price of the bitcoin is yet not so much high and it is decreasing day by day but after august the price will take a pump and will increase again at a large extent hopefully.

According to Bitcoin Obituaries, Bitcoin had died over a hundred times.

This is times the media (especially mainstream media like the New York Times, Forbes and The Week), investment experts and prominent personalities have predicted that Bitcoin was failing or was on the verge of failing.

It is something of a joke among Bitcoin enthusiasts.

But why are we, Bitcoin enthusiasts, so confident that Bitcoin is not dying (at least not, any time soon)?

It is very difficult to ascertain what will happen, but many speculators certainly play with these circumstances, which will seek profit.
Because the bitcoin a few weeks down with the dratis but can rise again in a fast time.
So if like this, make sure bitcoin is still favored.

I think, nothing will happen to this Bitcoin. This is just a rumor about 1st August, in terms of this issue a lot of people are losing their bitcoin because of panic. but some people are gaining by this time because of low rate. Hopefully in the few months Bitcoin will gain its value.

You really don't know the flow about the things happened in this bitcoin industry. In your tune of voice it seems that your kind of a worried this coming august 1st. So sad, that a people like you is to easy to believe on this things. In fact, this is the season where many of the person here are spreading something which make people be deceive by the wrong belief and information. If I were You, it is much better to focus on bitcoin unlike believing on august 1.

I don't think anyone know what will happen. Since everything still vague i think.
Even if people predict about it, we can't be sure that it will really happen.
But i just hope that whatever happen, it will be a great one and can make bitcoin becomes even more better.

Nothing will happen other than the price will go up hard, if you have any extra funds lying around now would be a good time to buy some more BTC. After august 1 bitcoin will probably skyrocket.

So we should expect increased movements on the exchange markets before 1 August and after... big falls?   Because people will want to regain their BTC? What do you think?

Yes, bitcoin after August 1 will go skyrocket. Bitcoin has dump its value last week and it's gain again this week and bitcoin is never been affected of this August 1 bitcoin split and I think that market prediction of bitcoin to rise up to $3000+ will came true!

no one couod actually predict what may happen on august 1 since bitcoin is volatile, i think that partly we should spend some of our bitcoin already or exchange it to fiat before august 1, in that way, we cab have a win win situation after august 1, if it rises, the bitcoin you have will raise in value, if it drops, you already exchange some of it to fiat, its kind of tricky, knowing that anything could happen on august 1

Why would anyone want to sell parts of their Bitcoin holdings when it's highly likely that it would skyrocket after august 1. You should rather buy now on the cheap and make a huge profit later.

John McAfee said that in the long term Bitcoin moves above $500,000 within three years, if not, he`ll eat his own dick on national television. Let`s hope that Bitcoin at least moves up to $4500

I'm sure there's nothing after August 1st, even the links in this forum that refer to hard fork announcements have been deleted, a few days ago maybe a lot of people get profit because they can buy at low price.
