Bitcoin price is expected to crash while August 1st is coming. Aside from that, when Etherium shines the stage with it's unbelievable high price, I see many post about Etherium will replaced bitcoin etc.

Now that bitcoin price is crashing, where are those Etherium enthusiast now that I should expect to transfer with this crypto? Show your support and buy at the dips of Etherium. Or just afraid that Etherium also suffers red lines?

ETH looks weak also now it is following bitcoin at this time but I am sure ETH is a very good crypto currency after 1st August I am sure it will grow again and I am also confident that ETH will also break its old All Time High and will go more up. It is the second best coin after bitcoin.

It's the same across the board. Not just ethereum that is silent.

Nobody likes the dips, especially when they are as big as last week.

This is happening most of the time. And if you are looking for those 'hardcore' ETH believers, I found most of them in social media such as facebook. But upon waiting for their rants they are just quiet today and probably they are crying because their coin is not that so high just like what happened last time.

ETH is getting abused by all the ICO creators, looks like bitcoin and ETH are heading back up.but I expect the more ICOs that are created on ETH the more we will see these large drops.

I ran a poll here asking who believes in it.. 72% said no.
Do you grasp how bad that is ?
I know for a fact that many of the votes were from farming puppets etc.
And yet even then it came out that bad.
Like when do bag holders go and bash their own coin ? LOL

Hell even Butters himself said he doesn't believe in this crypto crap (like his app's gimmick ICO scam coin)

So the ice cold crystal clear reality is here is this.. few people actually believe in it.
Do many trade it for money ? YES ..but that is not the same thing now is it ?

Crypto currencies and Bitcoin are still very much in their infancy and we cannot make such harsh judgement relating to ETHEREUM or other serious crypto currencies. Markets are truly in flux right now and as more and more new people enter this space, there will be volatility until there is more mass adoption. ETHEREUM has it's flaws, just like Bitcoin and other digital assets or currencies, but it also has brought new interest in Altcoins and Bitcoin generally. Many have taken their profits and ran, others are buying back in to collect even more cheaper ETHEREUM. That is how whales become rich.

I've still been buying ETH and will continue to do so. Just because it doesn't double every few weeks doesn't mean it is dead, ETH corrects in a similar fashion to bitcoin but it is not yet ready to take over. Give it another year.

Eth, maybe after they upgrade their system of security. There bunch of phishing website look like ethwallet. Last night another successful attempt shows to us that eth wallet are so vulnerable. Eth should reduce ICO's production.

ETH's good time is yet to come. Just hold up and wait for 1 more year. When all those new apps built on ethereum come to the market, ETH as the base will then really outshine others. Just HODL

No,the price crash is due to panic selling.It isn't the bitcoin that is causing people to freak out but the split.Non-technical heads are having a hard time understanding the fork and the shitposts (like this one) are influencing them.

Bitcoin price isn't crashing/won't crash. It's dipping due to cluelessness from people who have no idea about August 1st or Segwit2x, therefore panic-selling.
Those Ethereum enthusiasts are where they've always been. But Ethereum won't replace Bitcoin now that Bitcoin's scaling issues will be solved.

I will make harsh judgements about it..
As you ignore the fact rich people are walking off with poor peoples money via scammy shenanigans.

What is it you think it means exactly when Butters admits to dumping millions ?
Who pays for that BTC he got ?
Who pays for his alternative investments he says he likes ?

it moves from one currency to another etc.

Butters spending 1 million is 1 million stuck in the bag holders wallet long term.
..or dumpers for a loss.

And ETH will not replace BTC because it is not a currency and does not work like one.
It is a Fuel Token.

People who think ETH will replace BTC are just by passers who just wants to create unnecessary heating of the polity without any basis. The moment the situation of things becomes favourable for ETH, they make the noise, or when the situation became unfavourable like the price crash witnessed now, they also shout unknowingly to them that its just temporary and you don't get to see them when thing starts to take shape all over again and that is why there are scanty of those threads around.

as Bitcoin and many other currencies, volatility is part of the market

It's not unusual for Bitcoin to lose 30-40% of it's value in a month, why should it be for ETH

If you are looking for safe bets buy the S&P 500

the paycheck only comes during the pumps not during the crashes and when price is getting dumped hard there is no reason for the "advertisers" to advertise anything, it will crash nonetheless.

and ethereum has been a series of bad news after bad news for the past month.
the network congestion
exchanges closing down wallets
ICOs cashing out
Developer clearly saying he has no faith in the project on twitter
bubble bursting
panic sellers....
