The guy who created the coin isn't on the Indian subforum, he just used the name "Indian".
People from the main forum might visit the Indian subforum thinking it has something to with it.
Hope some Disclaimer is posted as a sticky.

Regardless of a disclaimer, we just lost credibility for a desi coin due to this.

May take a lot more innovation before we can actually implement a coin now.

Yup, "Innovation".

Well guys with good reaserch backgrounds could still make a coin, which can survive the competition, there are lots of alt coins including bitcoins with small and large flaws in them.
bitcoin with 10 minute confirmation time is not designed with ecommerce in mind. Current e-commerce systems handle millions of transaction a second without confirmation delay. Bitcoin can handle the million transcation per second rate if scaled. But the 10 minute confirmation delay will remain. Double spend is another problem. The scope for alt coins remain.
Bitcoin is just the stepping stone, version 1.

I`d like to see a Desi coin  worked and  backed by at least a few researchers , a whitepaper and a thorough peer review. Any thing less than that might end up a dump.

We need to raise the market cap of BTC in India before we can play with alt currencies.
Nilam Doctor had done a study and noted that a minimum of 2mil BTC needs to be in India to make a difference.

YEs seems like there is already two versions of China coin, one is already traded on btc-e

The best way to fix this would be do build some kind of auto forking tool.

That way, the market will get overflooded with forks and eventually kill itself.

The current alt coins apart from ltc, trc and frc are all the same.

here is CNC

https://btc-e.com/exchange/cnc_btc

pool

http://ft.lopsd1.com/

it is scrypt so GPU mining, people jumping into new coins because who know what it will cost 6 months later, and mining BTC with GPU is less attractive and obviously will be gone soon.
