Title: Had my bank account hacked Post by: flashy on June 21, 2011, 12:56:38 AM If anyone shared passwords between their mtgox accounts and any other websites, change them now. I just had my bank account temporarily locked, and got a notification from gmail asking to change my password due to suspicious activity. Apparently someone tried to set up a transfer on my bank account to another, jokes on them, that account had a balance of under $3.
It's my own stupid fault for sharing my password between accounts, even on my empty bank account, I know that. But this is a message to anyone who does the same, and a real wakeup call for me. My password was relatively secure, but no longer will I take chances like that by sharing or having passwords on anything important less than 20characters. |
