Title: Which are your recommended places to buy Bitcoin in 2017?
Post by: Makest on July 19, 2017, 01:13:44 AM
I'm interested in buying to hold for a year or two. I know that the price is high and it's recommended to only buy Bitcoin in "the dip". However, I strongly feel it will go higher. So my question is Which are your recommended places to buy Bitcoin in 2017?

Which country you belong to? As I am from India and for me to buy or sell bitcoins localbitcoins is the best place as it is very safe and you will also get better rates in compare to other places and there is a escrow so your money is safe you can go on localbitcoins and change the location to your country and you will find many traders there.

You didn't mention a lot of details: country, payment method, how much you are planning to buy and the fees you are willing to pay as well. A lot of services have high fees compared when you are trading with individuals. A few services that worth mentioning (choose what you like based on the answers of my questions): Coinbase, Bitstamp, Kraken, Virwox, Paybis.

In other to answer your question correctly you ought to provide a little tips about the country you reside. Nevertheless, if you're from the US coinbase will be awesome for you but if you're from the Europe kraken is good and in Asia coincheck but for local or international localbitcoin is good for that. In addition, you could find some trusted bitcoin seller on this forum.

I think you can check it here https://support.coinbase.com/customer/portal/articles/2109597-buy-sell-bank-transfer-fees
You can see the percentage of every country and it is depends if you are using debit cards or bank account if you are living in us..
The best choice is bank account to get less fee to buy bitcoins.

I live in VietNam, can you recommend some reliable places to trade btc besides Poloniex and Bittrex. I've lost quite a lot money on BTCe so I now have to carefully choose any exchange this time. Is there any thread that lists pros vs cons of each exchange here.

Chudu, since you're from the asian part of the continent. The best bitcoin exchange service you can use will be localbitcoin, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=408557, paybis or you could check the exchanges listed on this link www.bestbitcoinexchange.io for the one that suit you.

You can buy bitcoin and other altcoins in exchanges like bittrex, poloniex, tidex and some trusted exchanges.
Or you can buy in your local and some here in forum. Just be careful who you trust.
