Title: Alt Coins - #1 tip
Post by: Cutekittens21 on July 19, 2017, 03:45:24 AM
There are so many alt coins on the market and it doesn't look like they're slowing down. I see alt coins coming out for anything you can think of... insurance, gaming, prostitutes, social media, etc...

With all of the new alt coins and ICO's coming, what is the #1 thing you look for? Why?

I'm new here so I'm just looking to learn from others!

 :)

Anything that's not an "alt coin". Most alt coins that are expected to be used by anyone are rubbish, they're border line scams given the pump and dump intentions of their creators. Alt coins developed for closed circuit reasons are fine. But having 100+ different cryptocurrencies for anyone to use is pointless and will just drive a faster pace for the community to adopt 5 or less currencies as standard.

Alt coins just confuse and dilute the purpose Bitcoin has set out to accomplish. They shouldn't be celebrated unless they improve upon Bitcoin in a fundamental way.

I look for real value use. Active Dev. Ways to earn the coin and keep a strong community that constantly communicates and updates .
Pride from the Dev in their coin. Ambition and willingness to follow through with it. A sensible premine if there is one. True transparency.

Another thing is the way a wallet looks can make me want to invest even more in the coin. Most walls are the same and look horrible but some people make custom wallets and I really like when Devs do things like this to stand out from the crowd.

Right. Tons of shitcoins on the market right now. Therefore, I do alot of research on the specific coins before I invest in them. Here's the main points that I look for:
  • Solves real world problems. Not just purely hype.
  • Cryptos that has active developers.
  • Cryptos that has a good community built around it.
  • Devs that are decently funded.
