Killing Chain is the world’s first multiplayer online battle royal video game developed based on crypto digital currency, published for PC and for mobile, with the battle royal as the core game feature. Killing Chain Token(KCT), the prime currency used in the system, is an Ethereum- based token. The project will provide 20% plus future profit to reward KCT holders in order to guarantee investors’ rewards.

According to the Newzoo most recent data, the gaming industry has generated 749.5 billion RMB of consumption all over the world in 2017, far out surpassed the 101.1 billion USD in 2016. This clearly shows the huge market capacity of the gaming industry.

It has been widely acknowledged that in the famous battle royal game H1Z1, the grouping and teaming behavior of Chinese players that caused an IP ban has been quite controversial. From another perspective, it shows the game’s popularity in China and how the portrayal of human nature such as fighting for honor and wealth in PVP game attracts a large group of audience. Based on such reasoning, this battle royal genre is long-lasting and has huge market potential.
Compared to similar games, the Killing Chain has innovative design, gameplay, structure, operation model and a unique ecosystem; other than those feature, the incorporation of blockchain and cryptocurrency into the system makes the game run more efficiently.

3.   Our Vision

Constructing the Killing Chain as a quality game with strong worldview and long- lasting lifespan is our prime goal.

Based on the players and technical structure of the Killing Chain, we aim to launch a decentralized battle combat gaming platform based on the technology of blockchain. The platform encompasses a decentralized account system and payment system and the token issued by the platform can be used in all the games within the platform.
Building the new game model with blockchain, becoming the Blizzard in the blockchain game world is our ultimate goal.

4.   Game Details

1 .Game model
The battle royal is the core game; players are placed in an enclosed field and the last survivor after combats wins a big award.
 

Each player has special technique such as invisible, invincible and fast shooting skills etc. Just like the famous Blizzard game Overwatch, the special skillsets greatly enrich the gameplay and strategy that can be used in the game.
Aside from the battle royal model, the game also has mission and level design, and players can match solo or play in a team. The level design requires players to challenge different missions and the teaming design motivates players to collaborate which is widely welcomed among players who prefer to work in team.

2.Game betting, winners get huge reward
The betting design is a key selling point of the Killing Chain. Players bet with a certain number of crypto coins to enroll in a match. Thus, a pool of coins will be formed for each match. The last man standing end of the game will gain 80% of the betting pool as rewards, and the remaining 20% will become the game revenue, which will be used in other game rewards, player rewards and game upgrade and maintenance.

The process mentioned above is managed and realized through the Ethereum smart contract. Players send their crypto coins with smart contract and the contract plays the role as a central trust system. When the result of a match is entered, the smart contract will be triggered to arrange next match and distribute rewards.

For instance, assume that every match every player makes a bet of 100 crypto coins, the reward pool will be 10000 coins if 100 players enroll. The final winner gains 8000 coins, and the remaining 2000 will be allocated for game operation, upgrade and maintenance.

As we further upgrade the game, the gaming rules will be more varied. The coin pool generation strategy will be adjusted that makes the reward pool larger with more gameplay methods involved. For instance, in a multi-layer match, each match contributes a certain portion of its reward to the ultimate match reward pool, the match host and match endorsement parties all can contribute coins to the ultimate match pool.

The betting system in the Killing Chain well exemplifies the wide variety of uncertainties existing in the real world. In the “midnight bar” setting of the game, aside from secret bartender and pole dancer, there are gambling games such as the Baccarat, slot machine etc. and of course, pretty dealers. 5   Monetary System

1.   KCT crypto coins
Killing Chain Token(KTC) is generated based on the Ethereum smart contract . The currency can be used in lots of circumstances within the game as payments, such as for purchases, betting, consumption, exchanges and earning interests.
The total volume of KCT is 100 million. 50% of it is used in this round of ICO and as supporters’ rewards, 40% in game operation, and 10% in game development. The 40% used in game operation will be locked up and bounded by the Ethereum smart contract. It will be released gradually in a four-year timeframe with the POA method. (Further information on the POA method is provided below)

The core value of KCT comes from its persistent revenue generation capacity, the limit total supply as well as the circulation policy.

2.   Points system
Points are calculated by contribution. Players’ participation and contribution are all recorded by points; The platform will reward players with KCT at certain time based on their points as a percentage of the total points in the ecosystem. Points cannot be transferred or exchanged; points will be destroyed after every round of reward mad

3.   POA Proof of Action
POA is computed by a series of algorithms; every value creation behavior will be considered and weighted in the algorithm computation. The algorithm is adjusted based on the game actual operation. •   KCT is generated based on the Ethereum
The KCT generation rule is outlined in a publicly accessible smart contract . The coding for crypto coin transaction, dividend payment and other earning and consumption behaviors written in the smart contract is also publicly accessible.

•   random trust
A fair (verifiable) random number generator. In order to ensure fairness, the concepts of public key and private key are applied in generating random numbers. The public key and private key are taken directly from the Bitcoin, where the public key is the Bitcoin address and the private key is the Bitcoin private key. The generate procedure used the same hash algorithm and concept from bitcoin, thus has the same security benefits.

Hence a periodic alternation mechanism is introduced (every 10 minutes). When it is time for alternation, the following pair of private and public keys will be activated, and the private key that was used will be exposed in the meantime for people to verify the fairness of the random number previously generated.

M and N are the upper and lower bounds of the random range selected by the client

•   Betting, Smart Contract
The result of the betting and reward distribution will be verified and realized through a smart contract, the source code of which is exposed. For example, participation is recognized when the player transfers KCT to a contract address, and the contract hereby works as a wallet where all the transferred KCT are stored temporarily. Betting will be closed at a certain time (number of blocks) and any KCT transferred afterwards will be returned. After the game result is verified (by public API or the referee), the stored KCT will be automatically transferred to the winner’s wallet.

•   Wallet, Security
The KCT will be deposited on ETH addresses and wallets, since the tokens are issued on the Ethereum platform. Any ETH wallet can be used to inquire and use the deposited KCT. KCT and ETH are equal in terms of security.

11.   Building a blockchain-based gaming platform

Building on the success of Killing Chain, the team will be committed to building    a new gaming platform based on blockchain. The platform is designed to integrate decentralized account system and payment system, allowing the tokens to be circulated among different games. The platform will also serve to improve the community system and relevant service systems, all in all, offering players a platform to compete, organize, team up, manage points and interact.
Compared with traditional platforms, the new platform has a few outstanding features, including:
•   A decentralized account system
to effectively protect user accounts. This system is based on the smart contract, in which users will provide a private key signature authorization. User information will not have to be stored on any company's central server, and no account information will be lost due any problems happened to the central server of the gaming platform, so that users can actually own and have control over their own accounts.

Such record all shows that the battle royal genre has tremendous potential value to be explored.
It has been widely acknowledged that in the famous battle royal game H1Z1, the grouping and teaming behavior of Chinese players that caused an IP ban has been quite controversial. From another perspective, it shows the game’s popularity in China and how the portrayal of human nature such as fighting for honor and wealth in PVP game attracts a large group of audience. Based on such reasoning, this battle royal genre is long-lasting and has huge market potential.
Compared to similar games, the Killing Chain has innovative design, gameplay, structure, operation model and a unique ecosystem; other than those feature, the incorporation of blockchain and cryptocurrency into the system makes the game run more efficiently.

3.   Our Vision

Constructing the Killing Chain as a quality game with strong worldview and long- lasting lifespan is our prime goal.

Based on the players and technical structure of the Killing Chain, we aim to launch a decentralized battle combat gaming platform based on the technology of blockchain. The platform encompasses a decentralized account system and payment system and the token issued by the platform can be used in all the games within the platform.

4.   Game Details

1 .Game model
The battle royal is the core game; players are placed in an enclosed field and the last survivor after combats wins a big award.
 

Each player has special technique such as invisible, invincible and fast shooting skills etc. Just like the famous Blizzard game Overwatch, the special skillsets greatly enrich the gameplay and strategy that can be used in the game.
Aside from the battle royal model, the game also has mission and level design, and players can match solo or play in a team. The level design requires players to challenge different missions and the teaming design motivates players to collaborate which is widely welcomed among players who prefer to work in team.

2.Game betting, winners get huge reward
The betting design is a key selling point of the Killing Chain. Players bet with a certain number of crypto coins to enroll in a match. Thus, a pool of coins will be formed for each match. The last man standing end of the game will gain 80% of the betting pool as rewards, and the remaining 20% will become the game revenue, which will be used in other game rewards, player rewards and game upgrade and maintenance.

The process mentioned above is managed and realized through the Ethereum smart contract. Players send their crypto coins with smart contract and the contract plays the role as a central trust system. When the result of a match is entered, the smart contract will be triggered to arrange next match and distribute rewards.

For instance, assume that every match every player makes a bet of 100 crypto coins, the reward pool will be 10000 coins if 100 players enroll. The final winner gains 8000 coins, and the remaining 2000 will be allocated for game operation, upgrade and maintenance.

As we further upgrade the game, the gaming rules will be more varied. The coin pool generation strategy will be adjusted that makes the reward pool larger with more gameplay methods involved. For instance, in a multi-layer match, each match contributes a certain portion of its reward to the ultimate match reward pool, the match host and match endorsement parties all can contribute coins to the ultimate match pool.

The betting system in the Killing Chain well exemplifies the wide variety of uncertainties existing in the real world. In the “midnight bar” setting of the game, aside from secret bartender and pole dancer, there are gambling games such as the Baccarat, slot machine etc. and of course, pretty dealers. Furthermore, if a player encounters a mission that includes random computation, making the guess right will earn the player tremendous reward but making the wrong bet will cost way more than the premium.

To ensure equality, the distribution of reward and the random pick generation will all be executed under smart contract; players can verify the data legitimacy via the blockchain.

The Killing Chain is highly flexible and versatile. The team aims to construct a new game world.

5   Monetary System

1.   KCT crypto coins
Killing Chain Token(KTC) is generated based on the Ethereum smart contract . The currency can be used in lots of circumstances within the game as payments, such as for purchases, betting, consumption, exchanges and earning interests.
The total volume of KCT is 100 million. 50% of it is used in this round of ICO and as supporters’ rewards, 40% in game operation, and 10% in game development. The 40% used in game operation will be locked up and bounded by the Ethereum smart contract. It will be released gradually in a four-year timeframe with the POA method. (Further information on the POA method is provided below)

The core value of KCT comes from its persistent revenue generation capacity, the limit total supply as well as the circulation policy.

2.   Points system
Points are calculated by contribution. Players’ participation and contribution are all recorded by points; The platform will reward players with KCT at certain time based on their points as a percentage of the total points in the ecosystem. Points cannot be transferred or exchanged; points will be destroyed after every round of reward mad

3.   POA Proof of Action
POA is computed by a series of algorithms; every value creation behavior will be considered and weighted in the algorithm computation. The algorithm is adjusted based on the game actual operation. All the behaviors in the ecosystem such as participating in games, winning games, organizing, distributing and logging into the game, broadcasting, betting and all other value generation behaviors, are all counted as effective behaviors and produce effective points. The KCT generation rule is outlined in a publicly accessible smart contract . The coding for crypto coin transaction, dividend payment and other earning and consumption behaviors written in the smart contract is also publicly accessible.

•   random trust
A fair (verifiable) random number generator. In order to ensure fairness, the concepts of public key and private key are applied in generating random numbers. The public key and private key are taken directly from the Bitcoin, where the public key is the Bitcoin address and the private key is the Bitcoin private key. The generate procedure used the same hash algorithm and concept from bitcoin, thus has the same security benefits.
The server will expose a public/private key list that contains information on the time of activation. The matching of used public and private keys can be verified at http://gobittest.appspot.com/Address.
The private key needs to be kept hidden for the sake of confidentiality before random numbers are generated; and it needs to be exposed afterwards so that fairness can be verified. Hence a periodic alternation mechanism is introduced (every 10 minutes). When it is time for alternation, the following pair of private and public keys will be activated, and the private key that was used will be exposed in the meantime for people to verify the fairness of the random number previously generated.
Suppose the public key being activated is “pub”, and the private key “prv”, the code of the random number generated is written as follows:

In the case where the client does not send nonce, the API server has another parameter “ts” to ensure that it cannot predict the value randomly generated.
M and N are the upper and lower bounds of the random range selected by the client

•   Betting, Smart Contract
The result of the betting and reward distribution will be verified and realized through a smart contract, the source code of which is exposed. For example, participation is recognized when the player transfers KCT to a contract address, and the contract hereby works as a wallet where all the transferred KCT are stored temporarily. Betting will be closed at a certain time (number of blocks) and any KCT transferred afterwards will be returned. After the game result is verified (by public API or the referee), the stored KCT will be automatically transferred to the winner’s wallet.

•   Wallet, Security
The KCT will be deposited on ETH addresses and wallets, since the tokens are issued on the Ethereum platform. Any ETH wallet can be used to inquire and use the deposited KCT. KCT and ETH are equal in terms of security.

11.   Building a blockchain-based gaming platform

Building on the success of Killing Chain, the team will be committed to building    a new gaming platform based on blockchain. The platform is designed to integrate decentralized account system and payment system, allowing the tokens to be circulated among different games. The platform will also serve to improve the community system and relevant service systems, all in all, offering players a platform to compete, organize, team up, manage points and interact.
Compared with traditional platforms, the new platform has a few outstanding features, including:
•   A decentralized account system
to effectively protect user accounts. This system is based on the smart contract, in which users will provide a private key signature authorization. User information will not have to be stored on any company's central server, and no account information will be lost due any problems happened to the central server of the gaming platform, so that users can actually own and have control over their own accounts.
•   A decentralized monetary system
A decentralized monetary system to facilitate transfer of assets.
