News are pretty important.
I think that it is general knowledge that there are events which are affecting or might affect the crypto market situation .
Thus its important to have fast, reliable and objective source of relevant events.

Right now my information sources mainly are: bitcoin.com, this forum and recently vice news

Bitcoin.com has pretty unique news feed. But downside is  sponsored articles and i would like more depth ,analysis in market situation and ideally relevant news from China in English.

Which cryto currency related news are the best in your mind ?

Both sites are a scam. Vice is mainstream crap, they have no real depth knowledge. Bitcoin.com is Roger Ver/Bitmain/Craig Wrigh propaganda, avoid like the plague.

Bitcoinmagazine.com is decent.

shilling and crap articles that are posted, but sometimes you find the gems.  ::)

Vice is more of a casual news source covering a variety of edgy topics.  Bitcoin is just one of those edgy topics, and like with all of the topics they cover, they don't go very deeply into detail or technical aspects because they're looking for fairly simple articles that their target audience will enjoy.

Bitcoin.com is somewhat biased as the domain is owned by Roger Ver.  However, the majority of their articles are not related to scaling, and thus Bitcoin.com can be used as part of a broader selection of news sources.

In my view, no news site can be regarded as 100% unbiased and trustworthy, so you should use several different news sites with different agendas to see what their points are, and pick up the articles on other topics which are not opinionated as well.  A single news feed isn't ideal.

You should also include discussion forums to help with your information.  A few of these are:

-r/bitcoin (biased in favour of SegWit and smaller blocks).
-r/btc (biased in favour of Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Unlimited or whatever's going on at the time, and bigger blocks)
-bitcointalk (relatively neutral).

You can try different sites but at the end of the day you need views, interpretation, opinion, people who have been long enough to read through the lines, and that's why I only use this forum, not only it's updated, but it's very quick. People of various ranks give their updates and it's helps a lot, cause it's saves time going through different links and then interpret. Here every thing is given on spot. So my advice is just stick to this forum, each and every topic you will find here on a daily basis.

Cointelegraph is my favorite however I try to get updated from multiple media outlets including coindesk.com, newsbtc.com and obviously this forum.

I think no one site are best for the btc news because every site have better better news daily but have different different .
I means to say that we can't get every better news at the single site .
So we need to get remain in touch with the every Bitcoin news related sites .
Here the best news sites can get by you easily . Just search at Google and find the btc news sites and then if you will visit at those sites then they will ask.you for the notification access and then you need to tap at ok .
Now after the every new news you will be able to see that what is going in the Market and what you need more to do with that changes .
Here I myself subscribed about 10+ Bitcoin news related sites , so That is much easy for me to remain in touch with better news easily at one place in notification bar .

Almost all of the media house have paid press release section which normally contain post about scammy projects and services. Can't forget when many of the leading crypto related blogs/medias used to have paid article and banner ads for one of the cloud mining company that scammed millions of dollar from many people.

However they are also good source to have latest news and updates about crypto world and apart from them you can get really helpful post here in this forum. Following some leading crypto related twitter handler can be helpful to get instant update to make proper trading moves.

I don't even visit any of this sites. Usually I read all kind of news on "press" section on the forum and in twitter. That's enough to me. Altcoin news are usually placed in "altcoin discussion" section there you really can find a lot if you are really interested.

Few days ago, I encountered an app called Coin Market Apps. This app search, collect, filter and display latest news articles regarding bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies from sources like Coindesk, Bitcoin Magazine, etc. thus give you blend of crypto news at one place. You can have a try.

Although I agree that VICE has very little if any real depth knowledge in crypto currencies, they are not crap. They have a lot of original stuff and decent guidelines. But that s an other topic. I mentioned their post because it had more detail than most of articles i seen about recent market changes.

This thread is not about one best source but was meant for finding good news sources based on members of this forum.
One should have several good sources so good view and opinion can form. Also it is a necessity  for reasonable discussions .

There is no best source. Any source you choose, you have to do your due diligence

Yes you are right, there is no any single source that can be trusted with blind eyes because we have to make difference between the real updates and paid posts. All paid press release they have are just scams.

I dont know about you but i always read on https://cointelegraph.com it seems a reliable source of news for me. It still your choice on what nees you will believe.

I think that online bitcoin magazines, also twitter of different bitcoins campaignes, are good sources of news. Also always the latest news about bitcoin can be found on this forum.

I think you must read all the blogs for coindesk it is one of the oldest site for bitcoin

I find coindesk and cointelegraph to be most informative. There are some guides too for noobs on coindesk. One must check them out

Im reading news in cointelegraph thru their telegram channel. I like their real-time news as well as those educational editorials created by their writers. I also love their weekly price update of cryptocurrency that has decent value on the present time like eth, ltc, and btc supported with comparison. And the most feature I like with them is they have a telegram channel we can subscribe to receive all their new without the need of visiting their webpage which i found very helpful.

Yes it might be but I would be happy be if you give us an example of every site that you mentioned because it would be helpful for people and especially for me. Because I’m interesting in these types of sites which you have mentioned I have studied about them in a Google it is much interesting. But want to know further knowledge.

For now I'm only sticking with one news site and that is cointelegraph.com but when seeing some other helpful articles from other news website. I'm visiting it and reading the content and most of them are good, bitcoin news, crypto news, coindesk and other new website. I have read most of them but now sticking with cointelegraph.

I'm personally sticking to someone on Youtube who covers Bitcoin news from the main Bitcoin news outlets.
His channel is called 'The cryptoverse', he doesn't have too many subscribers, but I find that he usually covers the right kind of topics really well.

I'm also subscribed to the /r/bitcoin subreddit, some people day it's biased as hell, but I've found some interesting reads on there.

Where there are heaps of news outlets and new ones pooping up. Everyone has different options and I'll share some of mine.

I get heaps of news of bitcointalk and I love browsing threads and chiming in. If you stay on bitcointalk for a couple minutes each day, there will be people talking about the news and you can get other people's opinions and advice.

My other option is reddit/bitcoin but I never post and I never really liked the design. Oh and I find that people are super biased there.

Whenever I get free time I also read cointelegraph. I really like the design of the website and they also cover a variety of subjects, most which I find pretty interesting.

You don't need to find because nowadays i see on my television several news channel telling users it's price increase , who started it and what impact it has on my country. Just go to coindesk or cointelegraph they are surely one of best sources for any bitcoin news or if you want any particular news just google people are making lot from bitcoin search engine

Whatever the news, as well as possible should be read all to increase the knowledge of the news topic and take its own conclusions.

I use the coindesk app on my phone, and I also use the zero block app on my iphone to get bitcoin news, but I also have a google alert or whatever set to send me bitcoin news...

I don't know which source is the best because some of the news is biased but I like to read all available information.

Right now discovered https://bitcoinmagazine.com/ and I am enjoying it because of the depth level which is not too much but much more than mainstream media.

Never heard of Vice being called mainstream before. lol Mainstream is something you gran would read.

Since facebook knows that I'm into crypto currencies, there are sponsored ads that are just popping on my newsfeed from different crypto news websites and I mostly read all the time there. But if there's no other news that is showing on my news feed, I am visiting bitcoin news and as well as cointelegraph.

Vice is trash they get an automatic skip from me.

As for there being real and unbiased news, that's something you really can't get these days no matter how hard you try to set something like that up or find some website that actually maintains a lot of their journalistic integrity. I would honestly say that a place like Bitcointalk is actually pretty good when it comes to reliability and spread of news, assuming you don't take everything at face value and actually put in some effort to find information beyond what it is you would otherwise be reading. If you can do something like that then you're going to get a decent news source that doesn't require you going very far.

Twitter, Telegram and Reddit are by far my best source for News. Constantly clicking on numerous websites for News is difficult and time consuming.
Simply add your main News sources on Twitter,  Google their Telegram links, search them on Reddit and add all of them

Yes as there are many news that are misleading so better do a lot of readings and you'll be the one who can conclude if its true or not.
I'll just hit google and just read the news that I read, some are in coin telegraph, bitcoin news and other social media sites.
It's hard to know whether the news is true or not so better read a lot, don't stick in just one site. Compare and analyze.

I believe one source of information is not enough, there is need for you to have different source of information to arrive at a conclusion of what is really happening in bitcoin or crypto currency world. For me I regularly visit Bravenewcoin.com, bitcoinmagazine.com, http://coindesk.com and the rest of them and am okay with the information I get from those site.

With the fake news going around these days, it's now more imperative than ever to stop following the news and rather research and develope your own views rather than accept the ones of someone else .

I think is very important to have many different sources of news, because

1. Different sources have differnent opinions
2. Different sources have different focuses

I read several rss feeds in my native language, and of course I am informed about important news on bitcointalk.

In this case unfortunately I do not use Apple, I use Android .

The best source of news for me is the one who can be trusted, the one that can really give the right information about that news. The best source of the news is depending on the person who will be given that news, if he will be going to believe or not. There are so many sources of news just read, listen, or watch to know what is the best source of news.

The best crypto currency related news in my mind is bitcoin.com because it has a lot of information about bitcoin. When I open that site I've learn a lot about bitcoin.

I did some reading from Quora.

I have this channel on telegram where they update regularly about the cryptoworld. not just by an update with the coin but all of the happenings on the cryptoworld. you can join this channel by searching altcoins channel.

This might have been mentioned already in this thread, but even if it was mentioned I think it is an important point that deserves reiteration.

As bitcoin and cryptocurrency look to become more and more mainstream, it is important to keep an eye on the mainstream news. A major, prominent source that comes to mind for me is something like CNBC. While CNBC may not provide the "best" news, it is nonetheless a hugely influential source of news on Wall Street and for mainstream financial news.

So while it might not have the most in-depth technical details (for example I can't recall CNBC ever telling bitcoin holders to make sure that they held their private keys prior to the fork on August 1 - though I could be wrong) it is important to watch to see how the mainstream news responds. There has been some recent technical analyses done on the network where traders are discussing when they think they could buy (based on the Goldman Sachs report) as well as debates on the merits of bitcoin vs. gold for example.

Watching this mainstream news is important for viewing how mainstream media might be more and more accepting of crypto. 

I believe cointelegraph is ok, but if you want to understand things better you need to find some cryptoguy who will enlight you about all details.

Usually slack is quite doing the job. Especially when you're active at it. Take time to lurk on their #development channel. Mainstream news is already late in my opinion. Or sometimes news are being announce on forums.

The best source of news for me is here in our forum. If there is a hot news that just came up in the cryptocurrency world then there will be someone of this forum who will post some topic that is related to that and that is how i get the most of the news for cryptocurrency for some fundamentals like news.

The really best source of news for me in this forum. You can't find more people who have been in the industry for so long other than this forum. Those articles are sometimes paid, so don't expect a lot of content in it. I would rather go here and read a lot of comments and discussions than getting from somewhere else.

Twitter is definitely my best source of news. The only problem is that is takes some time to find out who to follow. Some people seem sane, but are really completly crazy. And others seems to be insane, but are actually smart and able to see trough the bullshit.

Cointelegraph has been mentioned several times already, and I find it pretty reliable too. It covers pretty much everything. I also like news.btc, livebitcoinnews.com and coinidol.com. I use Google Alers for any news feed I need. It's very handy. You set it up once and get all the news right into your e-mail box. Settings allow you to choose the frequency of e-mails you're getting, the country of news origin, the language, the sourses, etc.
To set up the alert you only need to type the keyword you want to be alerted about. So, in this cse it can be 'bitcoin', 'altcoin', 'cryptocurrency', etc.

There are several sources of news, and I will advise you not to rely on only one. You should use several news sites than make use of one. The first site I was using was cryptocoinsnews.com, but I have stopped using it. I’m currently using cointelegraph.com and coindesk, and they’re quite reliable. Bitcointalk.org forum can also be a reliable source.

For bitcoin news I generally rely on this forum. There are tons of scam and fake news sites around. By using this forum I can read what others think and confirm / unconfirm the news. Also it creates a nice discussion and I get more out of the news.

I think internet is full of fake news and other news made by incompetent people. You have to be multi source and try to be smart while reading these news.

The best source of news is the television news and the newspaper.Because the news there are reviewed by the expert and that made by the expert that is why it was legit and it is good to understand ,I mean easy to understand.

I'm sorry mate but I think the OP is referring to crypto related news and I think televisions  and newspapers are not a good sources of it. There are only few channels that makes Bitcoin and crytocurrency as their topic and not everyday you can watch it. Aside from that, I haven't read any newspaper concerning about Bitcoin. I think the most reliable sites is the cointelegraph. That site is the site that I always reading if I want look a news.

I've been searching for some good sites and everyday the news are confusing and sometimes it doesn't tally the news of yesterday..
Forbes.com is pretty decent too but it's not all about btc.
Hearing right news is an advantage as long as you don't panic of somethings not right. If we are updated on the news we can decide early the countermeasures necessary in red days.

if we talk about news, then it could be anywhere, if the news is for online then we can search in many website or even we can read on local news paper. but I think that we need to give actual news and trust news for people because people right now is smart to divide which is false news and right news. so we need to make a good news only to the people.

I suppose we don’t think of difference in good and bad news. We only get our point, if things are being told in our benefit, good news are they even they are false actually. Listen to news channels and they have special segment for business. But prefer to get news from bitcoin official websites and forums.

Well, for me it is bitcoin.com. I get updated with this sight on how much bitcoin is and the rates and percentages I need to know. Also, the updates and different new features of bitcoin is shown as it grows its potential everyday.

Tweeter is also not bad. Just register the hashtags #bitcoin, #cryptocurrency, #BTC. Or use the Twitter search function to find even more tweets related to bitcoyne. But there is one thing, you need to check the source before accepting anything that you read on Twitter.

My second best source are few good youtubers which I follow.
it's really important to discern the honest from the scammy ones.
These latter often promote suspicious ICO's and coins. in which only they can profit.

Cointelegraph is good source about crypto news. But honestly I am using mainly this forum (Bitcointalk) to get the most interesting news about crypto currencies. Here you don't get only the news but you see the opinions about it from so many experienced members.

The best source of news is hard to find in the Bitcoin space. There are many great outlets if you have been following the right crowds and people from the Bitcoin community.

I like Coindesk, it's a great source for up to date news and real good knowledge and explanation of how things are relevant to what's going on in the cryptospace. 

In addition, cointelegraph, newsbtc is also a good one. Also, you can check their respective official twitter account for some fresh news. Intwitter, you can check your topic there also and its hashtag.The last but the least source  is here of course, bitcointalk :)

Aside from yahoo.com and some news I've read in this forum I didn't know much of the company that tells a lot about bitcoin in fact majority of the people does not have any knowledge about bitcoin, I guess the best source of news nowadays is the social media such as facebook, tweeter and instagram people are more interested in these site so its better they invest having page to promote bitcoin.

In my opinion try to get a variety of sources, and don't rely on any one source.
You look enough places and you'll be able to see all sides of the story, not just who is benefited at that time.

The best source of information is undoubtedly the Internet. I use several news channels in Telegram, there are paid and free chat rooms where you can read the most current information and ask interesting questions to literate people. Also very convenient and this Bitcointalk forum, there is a lot of one-time interesting information.

 Right now I am down to Coin Market App, good app, collects news from multiple sources in to one. Does not have annoying pop ups.

Some people suggests that ANN thread for new projects is good. Al tough I often go there, I do not consider it a very good place for news, because old projects are mashed up with new and it is not that transparent.

Your mentioning source is fine but there are more sites from where you can get more news of bitcoin. One of the major sites is bitcoinmagazine.com which provide real information.

There are many websites which you can trust for news. Also this forum is a kind of source for news. People in this forum share recent informations about cryptocurrency. You can find articles in this forum too.

If you are talking about general news, then you can go through newspaper. Other than this you can also watch the news on television and social media as well. Tweeter is also a good way of gaining more awareness. On the other hand, if you are specifically talking about news related to that of bitcoin and crypto currencies, then joining this forum is the best source of having more news.

sources of news to my knowledge anywhere can, as long as the news is accurate and reliable, if not accurate it will be disappointing for people who read and believe it.

you can join different telegram groups or follow the news about crypto's. you can get some good infomation here on the forum too.

The most important news know only to large investors. They are the first and are taking steps, then each other

I don't trust the media, therefore I am looking for honest and decent people in the telegraph and on such forums...I agree that this is a good idea

When writing about this, we understand that based on their perspectives, some people may disagree partly with this list. However, with so many fake news sites out there, and so much propaganda, it can be useful to go over those news sources best known for holding their standards to something more approaching real and honest journalism.

For bitcoin news I generally rely on this forum. There are tons of scam and fake news sites around. By using this forum I can read what others think and confirm / unconfirm the news. Also it creates a nice discussion and I get more out of the news.

There are many reliable sites that are best to gather information on what is happening on the crypto world. They are always updated on what is going on wih the market specially with the current news regarding specific coin. You can also watch videos from respected vloggers. They constantly review and give opinion on a specific coin that they think have great potential and can make a huge return over time. They also give some technical analysis so you can’t just be spoonfeed. You can also follow their official accounts on twitter. They always give updates to their followers regarding cryptocurrency. Also joining forums is a great  way to gather additional information and you can also interact with like minded people. It can boosts your interests and knowledge about crypto world.

I don't know about the sites you mentioned but I use coindesk and cointelegraph and reddit.Both are good.

Bitcoinmagazine.com is the most decent website to gather news for Bitcoins. The rest is hard to trust to since there are a lot of scammers roaming around them.

I am always look at altcoin or bitcoin discussion and i also subscribe on users who are giving news related to cryptocurrency on youtube. Social media's are the best source to know the latest news about cryptocurrency.

There are many sources of crypto news but I like few site such as bitcoinmagazine.com, cointelegraph, coindesk.com, news.bitcoin.com and obviously bitcointalk.org is so helpful forum.

Bitcoin.com is the best website for you to get news about the trends of price in Bitcoin since they are official. Majority of other websites are scam and contains fake news.

I use the social network Telegram. It is very convenient to keep abreast of all the latest news, ask a question of interest to colleagues in bitcoin. There are paid and free chats. I really like to use this source of information.

I mostly use social networks to receive and share information, of course not without Google, and also this forum.

I sometimes just get my news on the forum. I always trust some members here that post legitimate news with legitimate links that carries the truth about changes with bitcoins. The forums always offers legit news and I know mods here delete possibly fake news emerging from the threads.

For myself the best news source is this bitcointalk forum, because every new thing must be here. Then social media facebook and twitter. Where the news will quickly spread if using both social media.

for me, the source you serve is less trustworthy, you should not see any resources except from the bitcoin forum itself, in this forum you will not be confused to get a reliable source, in addition you can review from other media that become a means of forum bitcoin with a valid reference.
beyond that many sources discuss bitcoin but can not be trusted all must be reviewed from various aspects of its validity. and we must be really wise and conscientious and able to clarify the source.

Actually, there are lot of sources of news about bitcoin and I think the best sources of about bitcoin is the bitcointalk forum where you can see all news and update about bitcoin. In addition to that, twitter is also one of the sources of news but this forum is still the best sources of news.

All the tv stations are good news but they also have news that is not true, so when you watch news on a prominent tv network. and do not believe in social media news that they have not been able to spread the news. The Wall Street Journal is a well-known name that can often be very controversial. Like many organizations, it is often accused of bias, but in this case the accusations of bias are in a right leaning direction.

There are so many good news that goes out to the tv station so it should be all right, but when you see news that is not on the tv it comes from the possibility that it is not true. When most people ask you for most trustworthy or reliable news sources, the BBC is one of the first you hear about. Known around the world for accurate and reliable reporting, they are even judged well in their own country – where people tend to be most critical about the reliability and accuracy of their news.

I totally agree with you. I try to read at least 3 to 5 sources of news to make up my mind and to grab my own understanding of the issue.

it is true the news should choose the best because now a lot of hoax news, usually I read news about crypto in medium. I think the medium of the news is quite accurate and worthy to be made reference to choose investment in crypto

There is no such thing as "best source of news", just because nowadays major part of them are biased for plenty of reasons. Some of them are under pressure of government or other influential structures, some of them are just commercial and post whatever they want, and others are just news platforms who do not really care about what they post since they earn money for getting wider auditory.
There is a separate category of news sources like bloggers, independent journalists, which post on social networks. But recent researches made it clear that social networks are being heavily affected by "bot army". This is proven by USA elections, commentaries from fake accounts and etc.
Thing is that it is too hard for one single person to filter all of that, and I believe that this should be done by AI with the help of Machine Learning and Neural Networks. But the question is - how to train that AI to detect that this source of information is fake or it is not? Hope we will find the answer soon ;)
