Title: what's the future of ETC?
Post by: wendelllee on July 19, 2017, 07:55:18 PM
More big exchanges such as OkCoin start to trade the coin ETC.
I invested my money to buy some ETH. But I also think that ETC will have a very good future. Probably the price will reach 150$ this year.

eth has the momentum and the people no matter how odious its fork was. what does etc have? the only thing it has is its ethereum link. that's probably enough but i don't see it changing the world.

Ethereum classic maybe left in the dark for the time being as eth is the primary coin powering the blockchain applications at the moment. It looks like etc has a lack of development and support and a lot of people are against it due to the censorship. One can only dream about etc being huge in the future for now.

Yes lack of development with three teams working on hit. Better reapeat this mantra than try to learn something, am I right? All devs are working hard and people continue to spread the FUD about no development, this is unreal

unless the development is outpacing ethereum it doesn't really matter. that'll be the go to option for everyone.

It doesn't matter how fast you run if you run in the wrong direction (ETH moving to PoS):

ETC keeps to time-proved PoW and its dev team has a very unique approach to scaling via smartcontract sidechains:

i've no doubt it's more sound at heart. the fact that it still exists is enough to prove that.

but the people driving the price don't care. they'll do what vitalik and friends decide to do. development is a minor issue in a coin's success. the illusion of future success is what people are looking for.

Yeah its kind of like btc and ltc. It will always remain I think and have a few small projects based on it but overall its always going to be the younger brother to eth.

it could be a good hedge against ETH investment in my opinion

I haven't see any good improvement from etc yet, the coin itself is quite famous, but nothing new about this coin, the future for this coin is uncertain, unlike eth who had made a lot of improvement, so we can only wait and see, but I think it will go down just like other alt coin

I used to think that it had a bright future and that it could grow fast, but now that it had a security breach: http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/hacker-stoles-32-million-worth-ethereum-3-multisig-wallets/ I'm not that sure  ??? ???

^^Exactly ETC = LTC
ETH = BTC

I think the etc will be the same as any other altcoin. They will experience a price reduction. Most will choose the main platform. But let's see how it goes. This will be just the same as btc vs btu

i think ethereum classic have a good opportunity to become expensive like ethereum because its uses the same network and for now, ethereum classic is like big giants that will be next coins in future. but for me, no matter what is the coins, as long as i can get benefits and the most important, i can get profit, i will use it for daily trading. and i save a few amount of ethereum classic for future, just in case if in future, the price will be increase too.

Good information. Thanks
With a stronger developers, the ETC will grow up soon. I bought a lot ETH before DAO event. But I sold all ETH after that. Always worry that the fork will happen again and again.

Every coins has chance to become number one or better future and we can't do anything about that. People have their own strategy and opinion and for me that's natural. ETH is stable coin, see their price action history and volume, this coin has good reason to replace our money. About reach $ 150 this year, I doubt that. Today, there's a big speculation on market ( August ), you should stop invest with eth. Wait and see after August, be patience is the key. Good luck.

Yes even i am also having the same speculation about ETC aftere hard fork of bitcoin it may grow even bigger. i have created three category for three coins ripple less than 1$ and waves less than 10$ and ETC less than 50$ . I am planning to invest each one of this .

I haven't seen also any improvements to them, but what do we know? Everything has the chance to improve themselves and so they are also. Let's just wait for them to bloom, maybe it is not their right time yet, they will bot get famousif thry do not have a tiny potential. Let's just all hope that someday they will rise up it good for us who have that coin.

ETC is very different from the other Altcoins on Coinmarketcap because the price of Ethereum usually goes up when Ethereum gets a price that beats its all-time high. Since there’s many guys that been around the Altcoin trading thing they have more knowledge on how to trade the coin to make the price look nice for the new investors.

Investing in Ethereum Classic could be a nice choice if you know how to get in on the dump.
