As far as I know, digger was acused for not paying out earnings to miners earlier, with his FTC or some other pool. Don't let fancy looking website fool you.

I'm using cpuminer (on linux), you just download it from https://github.com/ali1234/cpuminer/archive/master.zip , unzip, install dependencies if you don't already have it installed (libcurl4-openssl-dev and jansson4-dev), compile it (./autogen.sh, ./configure CFLAGS="-O3" and make) and then run it (./minerd -o http://yac.ltcoin.net:5555 -u <your_worker_username> -p x -a scrypt-jane --threads <number_of_your_cpu_cores>)
That's it. If you need some more explanation, just ask.

Oh, one more thing, if you find it usefull, just drop me some change at YNuvBNdxnMMadWPPvg3WLAywCTDmxTVbgD (YAC) or LMogPQUhrGQquLDDZmRZmgzpbeYxuXDGdk (LTC) :-)

IIRC he did have issues with payouts due to some hacking at one point with FTC but got paid in the end.

Yes, N just raised to 7

seems hash aways decrease  when N increase.

can't sure when N reach 30, how much hash will left.

WindMaster has added it to his version of the client.

How can I know when next N change?

i know N now is 6, when next?

BTW - If anyone needs to find out the current value of N and the N factor, my version of the YACoin client on github (link in first post of this thread) adds that information in the data reported by the getmininginfo RPC command:

Quote
yacoin@blah:~$ ./yacoind getmininginfo
{
    "blocks" : 65142,
    "currentblocksize" : 1000,
    "currentblocktx" : 0,

    "errors" : "",
    "generate" : false,
    "genproclimit" : 8,

    "Nfactor" : 6,

}

Pool Operator has the worst luck in running a pool or he's a scammer. The minimum pay out is set at 5 YAC min for auto and the instant payout is disabled.

DO NOT MINE HERE.

I don't like redundancy buT, since this 3d is linked in the pool as 'forum' (can check by urself http://yac.ltcoin.net/main.php) I thought it would be better to discuss it here: I'm start doubting about this pool, cause of many things.

Anyway, 24 hours and no balance, just unconfirmed.
Gonna waits 24 more, then quit the pool and what I have mined, que sera sera.

Title: Re: Yacoin Pool
Post by: cryptrol on May 24, 2013, 08:10:40 AM
TBH, I have been getting steady payouts from this pool. It depends on your hash power, keep in mind that the reward system is not the same as in other pools and depending on your hashrate, the profits will be more or less than on other pools.
I mined on another pool and was getting way less than here with the same hashrate so ...

I would suggest you allow for a period of 24h hours for the payouts to become stady and then decide if this pool is or is not for you.

The main concern I have with this pool is reliability (as in many others), but _not_ payouts.

Just a humble miner opinion.

Title: Re: Yacoin Pool
Post by: wire on May 24, 2013, 08:31:29 AM
i am also mining in the yac.litecoin.net pool and yes, payouts are slowly because they have a different reward system and need 512 confirmations for a block!

But if you mine constantly for 24 and more your payouts will come

They are flowing in even faster now because since yesterday pool hashing rate exploded from 18MH/s to 53MH/s today!

(GPU Miners starting to get in, or is it the crash of WDC making YAC more profitabily now? Or both?)

Question: What about, in a pool, using same worker on different miners, at the same time, without creating a worker for each rig ?

Thank you.

Just use a P2pool site you get payment instantly you only need to wait for them to mature but it goes directly to your wallet.

Here is a pool that does not charge a fee. Run by https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=202920.0

0% fee p2pool pool.

I started about an hour ago and already received 8 payments

http://yacexplorer.tk/address/YHFZWvMfy14TPrbgWZN7FnrPJTXBUYRdLu

If p2pool pays out faster then what does that say?

yacointalk.com pool works in that way. you don't have to setup workers or subscribe, just put ur wallet addr indeed of username

@mooc hopes u're using this miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201027.0 (also linked from the yacoins.org website) - it rules.

well, til this morning i was quite happy with the pool http://yac.ltcoin.net

But now its almost like it is beeing DDOSd

Connection to the Pool verry unstable now

i guess it has to do with the hashrate exploding on that pool, from 18MH/s yesterday to ober 50MH/s today

there is one single miner in the stats-list with 20MH/s just alone him, either GPU or big CPU farm

Any other pools observing the same, hashrate going high with single miners holding big power?

I've gotten paid out of this pool just fine, but it appears to crash every morning only allowing 1/34 of the hash rate in (1 guy gets all the blocks), so on to my third YAC pool... it seemed very promising - I like the interface and I got really good return, but losing ~6-8 hours out of each day just doesn't cut it.

so the system will be more stable and find more blocks to get more profits.

The first 3 questions are answered here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201027.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=201027.0)

your other questions:

you can still use your computer/mine bitcoins while mining YAC - to improve performance, limit the threads used.

digger, was the site hacked?  I got a message about checking my wallet, and my wallet payment address is not mine.  Also, there's no way for me to change my address, and the lock wallet address is greyed out..

My account was hacked (informed the admin yesterday). Two transactions of 194.19 + 2.9 coins were sent to this address -> YJJuwyFGh4hijEgTSFW8TaakrRhLDF6743.

Transactions were:

http://yacexplorer.tk//tx/c0e53e61e08fa2bfdaa6d9d7c7ba6f380db0c0f314923a6ebd15891f7bd374ca

Unlike some other accounts my payout address was not locked and I was able to change it back to my actual address. I've locked it since but I don't know how much that will help in securing my account. Changed the password to a very "secure" one as well, but that might now help much either.  :-\

It should help if you noobs start reading threads in full, from the first post on the first page. "Account hacked" or "digger is scammer" can be seen
many times, on this and few other threads.

So true, like you stated in the your first post on this thread, "you will never get payout"... oh wait, we do get payout; fast payout. We have issues about security and not about anything else. Have a beef with digger, duke it out with him. If you don't have anything worthwhile to contribute to this thread, then stay away from it, otherwise you're acting like a noob.

Hi Digger,

does this manifest like constant slow hash drop, or ?

I mean I have "U:" starting at 14/m, an droping to 10/m in cgminer..

The new server more stable and very low stale rate.

A possible improvement would be a dynamic share difficulty, or probably simpler to implement a user defined difficulty  ...
Miners with low hash-rate (as myself) struggle to get a share in the fast rounds now ^^

for example, 50btc.com had a nice system where you could choose your difficulty per worker ... 63 with N=10 is already a lot for workers < 100kh/s

Anyway, nice pool :)

If everyone plays by the same difficulty, whether you get a share into a particular round or not is a moot point if the rounds go quickly (as they are designed to do).  You will get your share into the next round (or whenever), but there will be other people who don't get shares into that round - it works out the same, except in your head, where bigger numbers look more impressive (that's normal!).

Well ... fair enough ... I understand your point. still, a more steady output per block would not be bad, even if only cosmetic ^^

Also, the homepage and the [ANN] for this pool say 2% fee, but manual checking indicates 3%. Not really a problem, but info should be updated.
(ex: block 119139, 25.48 block reward, 171 shares total, 3 for me, and a reward of 0.43360702)

I've sent several accepted shares to BTB Pool (http://btb.ltcoin.net/) and they are no reflected in "stats", and also, it seems that there is a problem in information recording...

Anyone could tell what happens?

Thanks

Digger, it has been almost 2 weeks of time and the only thing done by you is to confirm the problem existed. Are you going to pay people for the shares submitted or not?

Digger, you are a scammer.

Just because you are having trouble with a pool (and I don't know the story), calling a pool operator a scammer is pretty low.

I've been mining on one of Digger's pools for several months and have nothing but good experiences to share.  I did have a problem with the pool at one point, but it was corrected within 24 hours after contacting Digger.

Contrary to what is stated in the homepage (and also in the announce post), the fee is 3% instead of 2% ... would be nice to display the correct value.

Also at some point I had a negative balance (~ -20 YAC) ... I had to grind yacs back to 0 before earning some again ... As the history goes only for a few blocks, I could not see what happened. I could have been paid more by mistake (but could not be sure because my payments are usually in the range 25-50 yac and the last received ones at that time were in the 40)

The problem is that when i check all transactions, i find 1 or 2 transactions success send out payment, but at the moment, perhaps API timeout, so script think it is not success, so balance didn't change.   so it double payout, my script find lost transactions and repaired it, so which can make your account negative.

I've told you my username already. I've told it twice basically. That's a retarded joke to ask for it the 3rd time.

Most people don't check their local vs. remote statistics and some pool operators screw them like you do.

So, do yourself a favour and scroll a couple of pages back to learn the story.

find the problem, yac and yac2 are different server, you need create accounts on different sites, you only created account on yac, but didn't on yac2.
when you mine there ,  you didn't try to login there ? when a block found, the value will be split between valid accounts.

I guess that sums it up and I don't need to look back.  ouch.  I'll take User Error for 200YAC Alex!

I ran into something similar on coinmine.pl where yac and yacp are actually two different pools - didn't mine very much, as I saw shares weren't showing up pretty quickly.  If you're hard up, give me an address and I'll share some YAC with you.

Hello. You are not answering on e-mails. Hope I'll have more luck here. I mine BQC at your pool. Tell me, please, how do I change the wallet address. It is in a locked state and now I need to change it. What steps to do it I need to take?
