we need pools, we need nodes, but it all boils down to us all needing noodles.  As to innovation - we're here to poke some fun at the current state of crypto and the internet.  Too many coin clones, too many ICOs, too many scammers.  This project was launched to create some awareness, but also have some fun with copypasta.  These coin clones are released with extravagant use cases, creating ICOs and ICOs and endless promises and scammed users.  Over and over.  Copypasta.

Copypasta.  The end goal is to simply create a copy, without the bells and whistles, no bullshit. I'd like to integrate it into a website where you can upload copypasta, a database of sorts, with easy access to a repository of copypasta best suited to your in-chat/forum/game responses.

Awesome!  Waiting to see what happens in regards to markets - we haven't been able to get on any exchanges yet due to the price of listing.  I did intend on using some of the premine (the rest for bounties) in the event it could be used instead, or even possibly selling some (but that is risky on more than one level).

Anything helps.  Novaexchange & YoBit require .1BTC - coinexchange is .25BTC or .5BTC .  Direct listing for nova is .9 - Cryptopia is pretty expensive as well, but forget what they charge for listing.

I have .04 right now - and loads of pasta.

Cryptopia is more or less 0.6BTC now.  Yobit is fine if everything is ok with coin. Once something happens it will be put into forever maintance.

Maybe I'm a little thick, but does this mean I have to vote 50 times to receive 2,000CTRLV ?

I just downloaded the copypasta wallet and it is very unstable; during synchronizing with network it shuts down - this has happened 5 times in a row, and sometimes when I click on one of the tabs it shutsdown...it just shutdown again during syncing.
I'm running Windows 7 pro x64.

I think you should focus on fixing the desktop wallet first, it does not work in Windows 7 - at least for two Windows 7 users :)

Windows wallet closes randomly

working on the issue now, nothing in the code looks wrong yet fresh compile crashes when syncing.  Oddly, it starts around ~29k blocks to sync, jumps to ~59k, then crashes around 56k.

This occurs even after updating with checkpoints, a sync-checkpoint, and fix to protocol.h & dnsseeds.

first : set your folder option : show hidden files

2nd : go to C - user - your user - appdata - roaming - copypasta - delete all files except "wallet.dat" and your "copypasta.conf"

after that start your wallet again, it will resync

We would have to incorporate someone knowledgeable on building masternodes.  I'm still developing MN on a testnet coin, so would not feel comfortable adding that feature in at the moment.

No. The wallet kept crashing every few thousand blocks that synced but it didn't close immediately.

Same here. Was not syncing delted everything except, peers, conf and wallet. Now random closes after few k blocks.

But you can open again and it will continue to sincronize where it stoped.

When it finishes catching up, its stable.

If you're having wallet problems (and this sometimes works with other coin wallets too) save a copy of the 'wallet.dat' file and delete the whole roaming|copypasta folder then restart the wallet and let it sync again. To speed up the syncing install the bootstrap file - see OP.

For safety I either rename the copypasta folder something like 'copypasta_OLD' or save a copy of the whole folder, before deleting anything.

I've been using the wallet for quite a while now and it's worked just fine; as my mining rig is on 24/7 I've got copypasta staking full time on the mining rig.

Some anti-virus, well I think most, detect anything to do with cryptocurrency as a virus and deletes it. I've had this problem with Windows Defender and some other anti-virus app I was using (forgot which one). What you have to do is add the file or folder to the anti-virus exemption list, this has worked for me.

I know it can be a PITA to reinstall the wallet from scratch but it may be the only option.
It looks like you may have some other instances of the wallet installed as I see "Copypasta-qt (1).exe" which suggests there is a "Copypasta-qt.exe" somewhere. Probably the best thing to do is search the whole computer sor any instance of Copypasta and, after backing up your wallet, delete all found instances - maybe even clear out the registy too (if Copypasta, or Windows, puts any reference to Copypasta there).
