hello everyone ,

will alt coins crash in august 1  have some exchanges like bitter already disabled bitcoin wallets  so since alt coins are connected in a way to bitcoin i was asking if you people think they will crash i was thinking to sell now the alt coins at a good price then buy  again in the next couple of days with etherium

I think you can still trade on exchanges when wallets are disabled.

There is no certainty! But one is sure whatever happened price will correct eventually, and it wouldn't be wise to start panic around this date! Do not sell your alts, this can be very big mistake..BTC will surly rise after all this, and become more precious!
Those are good times for money changers and speculators, just relax!
I'm not sure if they will be disabled for trade..Maybe for transactions.

If big players from exchanges want to crash crypto coins on 1 august then crash will be  ;D

Obviously not. BIP91 activation has already been confirmed. The lowest price you will see for Bitcoin in a loooong time will be today.

I think it will affect some low marketcap coins.
Because tradings are happening with bitcoin.
But top 5 altcoin will stand strong because people will convert their btc to top altcoin or Tether.

Maybeother altcoins crashbecause if the bitcoin wallet diasble butI think its takes onlyfew hours and it will back again after few hours. Many people afraid in august 1 because they split of bitcoin into bitcoin classic and bitcoin. But dont worry even alrcoin crash or bitcoin crash it will back again after few days and it will increase more than the current price. Hold your bitcoin and altcoins everything will be fine.

Yes you can still trade off on the site since they are only just disabling only the wallet for bitcoin transactions which you cant able to withdraw not deposit bitcoins which do somehow frustrating but its much better than making harmful move into our bitcoins while bip 91 is still being locked in. Not only on bittrex but coinbase having the same reminders too regarding on this situation.

most of the altcoins will crash regardless of August 1 and the current events. just because they have been overly pumped and they are currently in a big bubble.
and then as we get closer to August 1 and bitcoin locks in BIP141 and finally gets SegWit for sure, then the price of it will go up to the moon. and that always means that people will give up altcoins, sell them, dump them, withdraw their money to come buy bitcoin in order to not miss out. and that means a bigger altcoin crash.

This is the extrapolation of past events to the future.
Spring 2017 showed that this is a bit wrong.
Remember the BTC dominance.
Alts grow up and break away from the parent more and more.
Of course, only strong projects  ;D

Make sure to hold Bitcoin during forkday august 1, everyone will sell their alts to hold bitcoin and get their bitcash

I wouldn't say lowest price, because we are still far from stability, due to constant attacks and FuD you can expect more of downfalls, but not like we seen previously- few years before.
No not really, i will hold my alts no matter what. Especially those who really have good potential..

If your altcoins are in profit now, and you will not be selling at a loss, you may as well sell. Nobody can tell you when they will rise or fall, one this is for sure they will, but when , no one knows, except those actively manipulating the market.

I don't think that altcoin will crash on Aug 1. Why are you thinking of selling in a crash. I think the best bet will be is to buy altcoins or bitcoin if the market falls. Then sell later if the price rises and everything has settled down after Aug 1. And I don't think that bitcoin will crash as well. BIP91 locked so I doubt there will be a crash. I will just hold on my coins and wait. After Aug 1 then I will make my moved.

Maybe all crypto on market will bloodbath again with Bitcoin ::). I guess after August 1st the price of Bitcoin will breakdown and doing the opposite with hope of most trader on market. I think take profit to FIAT in current is best choice.

I will only follow the development of bitcoin. what happened on the 1st of August. In this forum i can work calmly. I feel satisfied to join the work in this forum.

I think first there will be sharp increase in all coins then slow downtrend until the 50 billion market cap.

I think altcoins will go down if bitcoin will go down on August 1 and will try to recover after the August 1 SegWit. But that is just my own perception on altcoins and of course altcoin trading based on how it was acting when bitcoin dumped a couple of weeks ago. Now that bitcoin is currently kind of stable around $2700 if you are able to notice the altcoins it actually went up and tried to be stable as well.

There will be no split in august, that means if the bitcoin can bring the more attention for the crypto after the fork already ended by the way. I think altcoin will try to take the stable way such as what has done by the ethereum. The price is looks stable and there is no a lot of movement in the market.

Buy on Etherium now since its on dips as of now because hacker might been sold those coins that he stole. You can make money again when price do pump again. We are almost on  0.08 which i consider low already or wait even a little longer. Altcoins wont crash on August 1 event since they dont have any relations regarding on bitcoins segwit or any other issues. If exchange do lock wallets because of that event.

Bittex not accepting bitcoin because they have doubt so they are not accepted bitcoin for now but for sure after the august1 they will accepted again bitcoin so everything will be okay. We dont know if the altcoin crash because for sure other wallet will become disble in the next few days so its better to transfer the bitcoin to the offline wallet for the safety of your bitcoins. I concur with you. In the current scenario, it is out of questions that bitcoins will face any other dump before August 1st. All coins will move farther in the green area of the graph. Segwit will drastically pump up the values of coins further. Before August 1st, it’s a great opportunity for those to grab bitcoins again who gave up on their coins in few last months enjoying a ride to moon.

thanks everyone for the info its just one month since i started trading crpyto i have to learn alot . today my total value of coins went down by 20% how can i know such things will happen ? if could have sold what i have and buy them today with a lower price

it has crashed today.
and i scare they will follow bitcoin. i think best choice is fiat for now.

Well after 1st of august there will be a BITCOIN rally, a fast one.

However, the alt coins rise may not be as fast as btc so not likely a crash but if etc rises and alt coins are stagnant the percentage might be seen as red
