Wow the new coin, is there a difference with the old coins? And what are the benefits of mining this coin? But anyway, hopefully this coin has a lot of interest and well developed, good luck

How do I mine this new coin?

It would be awesome if someone joined me in mining some of these blocks i'm hitting on my pool.
It's a scrypt coin, so you would need to download cgminer if you're using a video card to mine(Still very viable right now. I'm hitting tons of blocks solo on my pool). Or, whatever you would normally use to point your asics to the pool:

Username: your allionog wallet address
Password:anything
Algorithm: scrypt
URL (difficulty vardiff):stratum+tcp://altmining.org:3032

Here is an example cgminer .bat file:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://altmining.org:3032 -O yourwalletaddress:anything -w 256 -I 11 --thread-concurrency 8192

No problem! I don't know about an exchange, but I do know the difficulty is still really low and blocks are pretty easy to hit right now. Now's the time to get in if you want to at all. It's even lower than it was yesterday when it first came out..

It's always so nice when someone set up a mining pool for new coins, how does the payment works? I'm mining in your pool but the hashrate displayed on the website is lower than what I see on my screen.

I'm assuming you're "DRYywR6xdDJ3XHYXr9n6PvsDEHGnw4m1YD". If so, you're working just fine and submitting shares. It calculates your hashrate based on the amount of shares you submit to the pool. When we find a block, it will split up the rewards based on your shares submitted for that block. Minimum payment is set at 100 I think. Which, is fairly easy to get with this coin so you should get paid as soon as the block gets confirmed. It's only me and you mining at the moment, but I hit like 5 blocks by myself earlier today. So we should hit a few together. Difficulty has shot up to about 32k right now. When I was mining earlier and hitting blocks, it was at about 22k. So it will be that much harder to get one.

Yes that's me :)
Ok ill keep mining and let's see what we can get!
Thank you for the explanation

Just started solomining this. The problem is that just one L3 will consume every dfrkng block. Just one.

I know.. I'm just using a video card and finding blocks still. I haven't even made a higher difficulty port for nicehash yet cause I don't want someone coming on and hitting every block. But, the difficulty 2048 port will be 3033. I'll go ahead and go set it up since more people are coming on

Not the usual false positives in every other coin. I wouldn't trust this.

Do they forget to include an exchange pool?
Or not yet available?

I have downloaded the wallet and it works fine for me. I suppose the problem is that you have to enable it in the firewall. If it is not enabled, the firewall will block the wallet's connections.

I'm not sure what an exchange pool is, but I do have a pool setup for this coin

It was right on the front page only a few posts down from the op. People have been on there hitting blocks like crazy. Almost 2500 now

addnode= altmining.org

You could always add that to your conf. Should be able to pickup my pool wallet and use it as a node. This goes for any coin you're having trouble sycing but there's active pools for as well. The pool has to run the wallet and keep it open to operate.

Not the usual false positives in every other coin. I wouldn't trust this.

it is absolutely not normal for  a wallet to have this crap in it! 10 hits is enough to say good by to whoever downloads this and runs it!  and say hello to the dev in the back side of those computers!
soon enough you will hear many crying

HACKED

There's all kinds of wallets coming out these days that throw up these warnings. I have ran the wallet in a vm and searched for every sign of something amiss that I could find, and I could find nothing. That's not saying it's not clean, but from what I can tell it's pretty safe.. With that being said, there's been 2 people pumping out almost 400 mh/s on my pool for a few days straight now. Nice!

Dev is having a bunch of personal issues. If you follow his twitter you would know. He's having issues getting internet and i'm not sure what all. That doesn't excuse not posting here if he can post on Twitter though. He really should come and update everyone. I'm more than certain he'll be back soon though.

All big plans need a great bounce to get there. When today you have a big plan, do it completely. When you feel you will fail, never turn around and give up. You do not know what's behind the challenge. Do it completely and finish what you have started.
This is a great start to restart, good luck

pool is dead!

It's because I can't keep the wallet synced up to send transactions out.. Need more people on this coin. I guess we were mining too many blocks because i'm unable to send transactions from the pool wallet. Even if I try to send them manually. Just get a transaction cannot be processed error.
