Title: Electrum doesn't run from Terminal anymore Post by: Randall88 on July 24, 2017, 09:40:36 AM When I updated Electrum some time ago, the readme file said to open it via terminal (as double clicking the file itself didn't work).
However, now even that doesn't work. I open terminal in the Electrum directory and do ./electrum, but nothing happens. Anyone else with a similar experience ? How do I open it ? Which OS are you using, and which electrum version fails to start? Usually you need to give permission to execute. Usually you need to give permission to execute. Yeah, you'll like need to give it execute permissions for it to run, but I'd assume it would give an error otherwise. You could also try executing 'python electrum' to force it to execute via python.
