I am not sure if this news is confirmed or not but I think people's opinion of looking towards Bitcoin is changing in a positive way and as soon as some governments are recognising Bitcoin, more and more people are coming forward to invest in Bitcoin. I am sure some millionaires must have invested in Bitcoins because they have practically nothing to lose.

I think it wasn't the Rothchilds directly, it's just something else called Rothchild, im not sure but that's what i've heard. I think someone went into detail, if you search for the Reddit link to these news in the comment section someone explained it.

I just don't get how it would be allowed for someone that isn't the Rothchilds to register themselves as Rothchild. Wouldn't that be like a registered trademark or something?

I'm not surprised. $210k is literally nothing for an investment company. They're making a hobby bet. They could lose all and it wouldn't impact their bottom line at all. SO, the best part of this is the press because if the $2,000 to $20,000 buyers see an investment company buy 10x as much it'll make them more apt to get in as a personal/individual investory.

I'm bummed they bought through the trust, that just increases the value of the trust's shares...not directly to bitcoin. It would only direct bitcoin directly if the trust then bought $210k worth of bitcoin, which is not how the trust has to operate.

I wouldn't doubt if he bought some bitcoin, but serious why $210,000 worth. You know he is worth a trillion dollars could he not just buy an exchange or something.

It honestly doesn't take a genius to figure this out. First, they control the world (the banks) and they have infinite supply of money, someone with this power cannot invest such a small amount. Not sure about the details.  But, wasn't that about the stock for some BTC company?  I know I was reading about the "super secret" thing some guy was working on for "financial institutions"  BOE (Bank of England) and  Deutsche Bank? At least now everyone gets to see the faces.

People's perception about BTC is it's nothing more than junk, a fad, a novelty they don't want it they aren't gonna have it.

If there is any chance for it to succeed it's gonna have to be with the "next generation" the easily manipulated ones who don't vote.  No one I know outside of BTC community is interested or cares.

If I were them I wouldn't WANT to make it in the headlines. I thought they were all about giving hints but never saying anything directly.

And why wouldn't want that to be a headline? I think this is a positive news for crypto's and bitcoin ecosystem in general. Once people seeing that a 'Rothschild family' has now invested in it, a lot of potential buyers would be interested as well. Although the amount of investment is like pennies for them, at least they have found crypto's as another way to divert some of their money. And thanks for sharing the news.

On the other hand, many people don't even know who the family is, or the rockefellers. We know because we are in bitcoin and it goes against what they value philosophically but will it drive mainstream adoption? Quesitonable.

$210k isnt really a big investment since Rotschild is known by its huge wealth, but still i think its another sign of the stability of Bitcoin, which make big gurus investing in it without risking failure. This surely will encourage so many big investors to deal with Bitcoin .

$210k is just piece of cake for those people , but many people predict bitcoin price will be at least $50k till $500k , if that really happen all people will get rich later .....

If that true it will become little helpful for the bitcoin world to prevent crashing price but it will affect little only because they need mlions of dollars investors I hope someday many millions of dollars investor will invest to the bitcoin so the price will increase more so we can make a lot of profit.so its better to buy Ltcoin and for sure after few months of holding. They are definitely not the worlds most wealth family. The Walton's (of Wal-Mart) have greater wealth. And then what about the Buffet or Gates families?

If this is for real, $210,000 is just a nut for them. And why they only bought it with $210,000? They should invest millions of bucks with it but probably they are just trying some trial and error with it. Is this really THE Rothschild family?  Either way, it doesn't surprise me, because the return on investment lately has been astronomical.  Who wouldn't want to get in on that?  And yeah, a few hundred thousand bucks is peanuts to them.  Most of the Rothschild family's money is very secure in other investments.  I say welcome, Rothschilds!

According to the article it's not confirmed if it it's really the Rothschilds, but any huge investment even from an individual or company known or unknown is good for the future of Bitcoin but of course to add reputation to bitcoin a big name in the investment industry is a big boast indeed.

Certainly, it will attract a lot of attention and Bitcoin will increase in popularity as a result so I foresee more growth from henceforth. Whether it's confirmed to be "Rothschilds" or not I think it augers well for Bitcoin as it's going to drive demand in the positive direction.

Yes, even if it is not confirmed that this investment is officially from Rothschild or not but still it is a positive news for Bitcoin. I have some friends who are highly taking interest in Bitcoin these days and they are willing to invest in it. I believe that we are going to see the rise in Bitcoin user base after 1 Aug and thus indirectly in price too and we must accept the fact that volatility in the price is not going anywhere even after 3 years.

If this is true, I would guess its trolling or they'll experiment & try to come up with clever and ingenious ways to turn approximately 100 btc into 10,000 btc for laughs. Incidentally, I wonder what happens to crypto law enforcement seizes from dream market, alpha bay & other sources. If senate bill 1241 is anything to go by, anyone in an *official position* could potentially walk away with millions in crypto seized by law enforcement without any problems. Free money. It will be interesting to see what happens to the crypto seized by law enforcement in raids.

$210,000 is only but a few to their billions or trillions of dollars. Im intrigued with this but you might also say just curious why does the founder of banks have invested or taking a liking into bitcoin and how did they know that it was really the Rothschild who invested. It's the same that's going to happen in our economy. They will have full control to the supply of bitcoin. It looks like they want to take over the crypto currency too. And with the initiative of $210,000 I guess they are still in the testing scenario. Possible that before the end of the year they have plans of taking 10% supply, this is just my guess.

Yeah they only controls the whole banks all around the world.  Already bitcoin was stagnated in some bitcoin addresses. If this is really happened again we will see the bitcoin fork and that we can see now which turns around 300$ down from the value see two days before.

lol, $500k is nearly impossible in only 3 years. It's all advertising, he's launching some altcoin (or similar thing, don't remember) and he said it for visibility. However, i'll be happy if he's true.

If they are trully Rostchild i think $210.000 is small amount for them, i personally don't like if the richest people get in to the bitcoin (hoping they won't) they such a have control over it, if they buy a lot of bitcoins and then sell them the price obviously will be crash. Once they buy all of bitcoins, bitcoin will be useless. With that amount i think maybe they just want to test it and see the progress.

Rothschilld seems don't want to invest huge amount. That's not huge amount for me because they are known to be the richest in the world. Seems like they are experimenting. But that's good. Atleast they find bitcoin a potential money maker for them. But it's funny because they are known the owner of biggest bank worldwide. Bitcoin is a serious threat for them in the near future. Well, if I was "the Rothchilds", or one of them at least, I wouldn't buy 1 billion BTC at once. You need to put yourself in the feet of one of them. I think made a mistake. I've read an article saying that bitcoin will be modified and there would be a new bitcoin that will rise. And some bitcoins would not be accepted in some cases. But if he did that a long time ago then he would become a multi billionaire by now.

The wealth of the Rothchilds is supposedly not fully reported, the full wealth of unreported things is rumored to be over a trillion. If I was part of the Rothchild clan, I wouldn't like to be on top everyone else by a mile in the Forbes magazine, it just makes you a target. Most Rothchilds are lowkey people, most people on Forbes are pretty known. The Rothchilds are too many, we aren't talking about a single individual but an entire family.

Yes, as I said I am not sure if it a confirmed news or not but even if it is not their investment still, the people are coming forward to invest in Bitcoin which highlights the impact of growing trust among the general public. Even if we are comparing the users of digital wallets for fiat currencies and number of current Bitcoin users, there is a huge gap in between and thus there is a huge scope for the growth in next few years. We already have the users who know how to use digital wallets, now it's time to explain them about bitcoin.

That would be a low investment for a Rothschild I think, I don't know if this news is true and reliable and we are not also so sure if Rothschild are the one who invest or there is one behind the scene of the investment. If I am a Rothschild I wouldn't invest in that kind of amount, they are the wealthiest family known in the whole world maybe a $2 million is worth to be invest for by the Rothschild.

I don't know why they decided to buy into a bitcoin trust instead of the actual bitcoin. I mean bitcoin is something that can be held very easily and it just makes no sense to me why they just absolutely wanted to go through a centralized way of investing instead of having everything decentralized, and holding the real thing iself. It's like buying paper silver instead of buying physical silver. It completely defeats the purpose of the investment in the first place.

I would bet he will be shorting quite soon. If some of the shark invest is because of wanting to have a control, not because he believes in something. All of those people believe is power. So I would be hardly surprised if those investments were not to gain the ability to manipulate the market.

I know this news from some days ago and honestly, I was laughing to see one of the richest family investing only $210k in bitcoin. It made me wonder if it was a real news or a satirical one. Or maybe they think this $210k will be 3-4 millions $ in a fews months? In this case then I hope they are right  ;D

I doubt about this news validity. $210,000 is peanut and how much more when it comes to a Rothschild. It is known that Rothchilds are owning/controlling most of the central banks in the world. So they will try to kill decentralized bitcoin and altcoins  which is very opposite to their well established system.

Def, not the real Rothschild firm. IMO. Otherwise, they would most likely add a few zeroes to that.  There are many firms with similar names tho due to similar surnames and even just firms trying to trick the public and I am pretty sure it was just one of those.

There is no correlation between the bitcoin fork that is going to happen and the corporate interest behind the ideologies,we just need the upgrade so that the block chain could accommodate more transaction and it is crucial for the growth of bitcoin ,there are more investors who have invested more into bitcoin than the said amount and so it is not a big surprise.

Bitcoin is getting more and more popular day by day, nothing to surprise here. Another thing that 200k is not such a big number for such a rich person. $210,000, that is about 50bitcoins there about. Wonder why people on this thread are complaining it is quite small. Sure, for a wealthy investor, maybe! But everyone's got their reasons for certain investments. BTW, knowing huge investors are falling in is a great news. With this we can see BTC getting to 10,000usd sooner than we expect.

No wonder that bitcoin is alpha and billionaire's interest in it is not that much eye catchy as most of the people/traders became millionaire just because of their awareness about bitcoin. Recently HBO's GOT's script got stolen by hackers and now they are paying in bitcoin to them. This shows its good and bad both awareness.
