Are you sure you are doing everything right?
Try to do the step-by-step guide on this thread and post your signed message here so I can check.

Where exactly "online" are you attempting to use your signed message? Are you attempting to claim coins/tokens from an ICO or giveaway like Stellar Lumens or something?

Are you using a standard wallet or a multisig/2FA wallet?

It works fine with Electrum... you can test this message on coinig.com (http://www.coinig.com/):

Code: (address)
148csPChWs998WStfvLgZ9awkKMx13jVWb
Code: (message)
This is a message from 28th July 2017 by HCP
Code: (signature)
H84BhBQJR0Jl4Mv7YewJzNUiRNJomzSic1ugmiZqJFFzRBpSFH3IOUBU02P2kgZiniyLlpHGQT6UfRYRnsLtOsU=

be VERY careful when you copy and paste that it isn't adding extra spaces and/or line breaks etc... especially in the "message", as even just one extra "space" character at the end of the message will break the signature.
