Hello there . Any prediction for Ethereum during BTC update on July 30-Aug 3/5

It will remain stagnant due to update and it will be unable to be traded so btc will not go down literally and remain the same. So what would you think of the alt coin movement by that time?

I think about the same. Ethereum can't survive if Bitcoin price start to go down. I see a lot of people think that Ethereum and Bitcoin is not correlated and Bitcoin possible forks might increase chance of Ethereum to go up but in reality they tied each other. Actually all altcoins tied to Bitcoin. When Bitcoin goes down all altcoin market start falling.

I don't think Ethereum will moon during those days; In my opinion it will stay on 150-250$ range

this now etherum is downtrend
before Btc soft fork, etherum price 0.078 - 0.09 bitcoin, with dollar price 180 - 225 dollar
after soft fork if bitcoin price incraese very high , ETH can follow incraese too

I don't belive any coin will explode with price around 1st august.
But to dump is very posible :)

If ethereum price drops one more time, so many gpu miners will give up and there ll be so many second hand gpus in markets  ;D

if miners have a mindset like you did,Bitcoin already died back then in 2014ish.
Ethereum will not survive if Bitcoin die,but Bitcoin will survive even thought Ethereum die.
so moon or not everything will be concluded when the time comes,if we can see a positive signal from Bitcoin.
and then every altcoin will be pump hard in the next coming year or so

August 7, ETH undisturbed if it exceeds $ 400 and is supposed to be more .Currently I have the tape they are cheap and very good ETH.

as the the SEC implemented securities on any ethereum-based transactions, there might be a tendency for a ethereum to the moon. although there might be a government intervention but it is also a good benefit for an investor/ trader who are into cryptocurrency business to regulate any scam-prone transaction.

I strongly agree to this security was the almost the main reason for ethereum price drops if this will be solved there is a big chance of bullish move for ethereum.

ETH is having a very hard time securing codes in smart contract dapps, that's why it's always hacked and this is affecting the price of ETH. The developers needs to go back to their drawing board and correct this problems of ETH wallet hacks, if not the price would be stagnant for a very long time.

Tezos claimed to solve the problem of ETH in their whitepapers, if they really lived up to their promises when listed, they will leave ETH behind their side mirror. ETH Needs to sit up, the competion is becoming bigger and stronger.

They say the ETH has shown no fear despite SEC clamping on them.

it has already been proven that when bitcoin drops altcoins, specially ethereum drop even harder. we saw the recent bitcoin drop and that caused ethereum to lose a great deal of its value and then bitcoin recovered but ETH stayed low.

in any case on August 1 there will be SegWit activation with 100% support, i don't foresee any troubles at all. the BCC drama is mostly methods for manipulators to make more money than it being serious threat.

actually we don't know ethereum will go to moon or not as the situations now can not predicted as bitcoin is too volatile and this is cause with altcoin too. it seems altcoin is waiting until bitcoin gets new position and then altcoin will make new price too but i only hope that soon after 1st august, altcoin will take a part to increase with new level price.

This is only my prediction, but if you look at it a few weeks ago where Bitcoin had a big DUMP, almost all altcoins experienced the same thing as ETH. I conclude that altcoin still depends on bitcoin prices.

My bet is on DASH and NXT.

Litecoin price has been incredibly stable over the past weeks, and an awesome hedge against bitcoin's price fluctuation.

In the comings weeks it is probably a good idea to include litecoin in your portfolios.

I speculate most of the bitcoin will be converted into Ethereum, LTc and waves so major share goes to ethereum  as it is largest traded as far i invested on ethereum as well as waves.

If it falls to around 150 I won't know what to do..
it's good tech, lost of uses, especially ICOs, but so many problems and hacks lately connected to it that it makes me doubt if ATH is achievable again..

I agree with you, when Bitcoin have issue about SegWit2x in August 1st, Ethereum is best choice after Bitcoin. Litecoin I think not best place because it follow the price of Bitcoin and will decreasing if Bitcoin falling down, maybe Monero, Dash, Zcash in that time will take advantage this happens and create big pump on market :D

Ethereum has been up and dump the price lately. Yes thats true the hack situation is the most problem of ethereum. As I can observe when btc downtrend ethereum also I think eth will recover the price.

Ether has opportunity to take the lead over bitcoin but it didn't benefit from that opportunity. Bitcoin has much more problems compared to ether. Ether can hit $500 this year. And I don't agree with you that hac situation is the problem of ether. No, it's not. 

What is the correlation between ethereum and bitcoin's update ,i do not see that the price of ethereum recovering any time soon,they have some issues with scaling and they have sort that out first to see some changes in the price or to see another rally,other than that we could see the price hanging around the current price.

It is hard to bet on ETH benefiting too much due to BTC fork or related FUD.

Yeah even though they're saying that the hard fork has nothing to do with the altcoins I think it have somehow affects the price of it as we always seen in exchanges, when btc dumps as well as the altcoins. So expect the unexpected things that might happen after the correction. We can't say that eth will go to the moon.

There can also be another situation. Due the update on august, people might convert btc to ethereum just in time for being safe or some other reasons. This can potentially make the price of eth to jump around 300 - 400$.

It would possibly go up if the price of BTC will rise too. In the past, Ethereum's trend follows the up and down trend of BTC too. The creators of ETH should also fix the issue of hackings cause it is also affecting the marketing of ETH.

Sadly almost all altcoin goes down as the update comes. BUT there is a chance for EtH and LTC during update.

ETH has more greater problem caused by massive number of ICOs, ETH was collected in Vast amounts which now are threats for ETH stability and if this trend continues we will see really good dumps.
Also price increased due to demand for ETH as main payment for ICO's and ETH now looks like pyramidal scheme, I'm not sure why others do not realize this? BTC will just trigger this.

Ethereum price seems to be dropping down fast now instead of rising

If that so. It's currently July 29 need a few days to go SegWit2x in August 1, there is no sign that altcoin prices will rise. but is decreasing.

At the moment it seems to be that ETH price is more unstable, than bitcoins. Maybe that because of a huge amounts of ICO as it was written in previous post. Still i think that ETH will grow maybe after the 1st of August or somewhere in the middle :)

Technically the august 1 updates is not going to favour bitcoin  as it has taken the position of sympathy. Ethereum is even afraid of august first issue more than bitcoin itself. In don't think Ethereum has the capacity to get to moon and nothing significant is going to happen at august first. I am holding my coins!

Absolutely! The eth is facing downfall in values at present. I don’t think so they are going to follow bitcoins on their way to sky. Even if they increase in value, soon they will go down drastically within a week. When bitcoins are available, I don’t know why people are going for eths.

ETH is known to move really quickly and in big moves.
I think it is a healthy retreat now and we might see the .12 level soon again.
And possibly 0.2 in the late of 2017

Well, I think there is no use of asking the link. Many other have been talking about the downfall in the value of eth in the end days of July. I personally don’t think eth has to do anything with the increase in bitcoins’ values. Bitcoins are definitely going to pump damn high in the coming weeks. Those who really want a ride to moon should grab bitcoins.

Right after the bitcoin price rises definitely the price of ethereum will also rise, maybe 1 week after the split ethereum will break 0.2 BTC/ETH. So now your opportunity to accommodate all ethereum is sold very cheap. They do not realize that they just lost a lot of money.

They have not lost any money. Etherum are not capable of that increase. I don’t think so they are going to follow bitcoins. At the moment only bitcoins are potential digital coins to be on the moon tomorrow. Those who have sold eth for bitcoins will definitely enjoy drastic profit tomorrow.

Actually we dont know what will happen in ethereum today if they increase or not. Even the bitcoin price decrease they have possible that ethereum will increase again because if many people see bitcoin price dump they buy ethereum because this coin is a number 1 altcoin and for sure if theybuy more ethereum in the future you can earn a lot of profit so its better to buy ethereum now.

Depending the future of ICOs after SEC have some rules for this type investment. If good and promising better than stock market, I can sure 100% the price of Ethereum and Waves will increasing fast because more investor interested ICOs market.

ETH Price seems heavily tied to BTC price which is sad, but just the way things are for now.  Hopefully soon they will become more independent.  Litecoin was more independent in these recent ups and downs doing its own thing from my quick look at its chart.  Maybe one day ETH can get that independence :)
