First time i heard about bitcoin is last year...I think bitcoin one digital currency that time...after I search it on Google...that time I know that there are hundreds of altcoins now....my reactions like what the...BAD ENGLISH...Try to be better through this forum...

My first time that i heard about it is last year too...  My friends encourage me about that then i join then then after i research about this,  i use my knowledge to do things like posting..  Btc is a virtual currency for many people...

My brother bought bitcoins a few ago and told me all about it
but I couldnt understand what he was telling me, it just didnt make sense.

so after I got into it earlier this year the first altcoins I heard of
were Litecoin and Dash!

The first coin I ever heard of was Darkcoin, now known as Dash. I was sooo broke at the time, I really wanted to buy it but didnt have the money. That was 2015...

PS:I am still broke, i still dont own any Dash.lol

I came to know about bitcoin 3 years back and i was really excited about it. I did a research and studied about it. It was then i came to know that bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrencies , there are others too. Then i came to know about the altcoin dogecoin and i was " Now whats that" and should i pronounce it as " dog-e-coin" or "doj-coin". Then i did a research about it too and came to know that its a pretty good coin. I still like Dogecoin very much because of its less price and less transaction fee.

First coin I heard about was Litecoin, that was 4 years ago.
I used to have an internet business, it accepted Litecoin payments.
Sadly I sold my Litecoins later when they were about $1,50.
Wish I would have never done that.

First alt coins i heard/used after getting introduced with bitcoin was Litecoin and Dogecoin. Dogecoin sounded funny to me since it was based on a meme and thought it wasn't any serious coin. Litecoin was just a usual cryptocurrency for me .

First I heard of BitCoin a long time ago, don't exactly remember how long, I was much younger and didn't understand it, but still tried to mine it.
I was using a Sempron CPU and 1GB DDR1 RAM, doesn't matter though, as I didn't know how to start mining. Second time I got interested in BTC was when it was at around $300, that was a few years ago. Wish I bought some BTC in those earlier times, now I've invested in Antshares(Neo) and NXT.

I know im little bit late on bitcoin world but when i do first knew about bitcoin i immediately know other altcoins too and this is my first encounter on Dogecoin which i know its almost the same age with bitcoin and later on i see lots of altcoins are popping out from nowwhere butvi understand since cryptocurrency hype had just began   ;D

My first heard is about the bitcoin and ethereum..  I heard it to my friends that long time uses this one.. And i think this is a digital currency nowadays.. My reaction??  You won't believe it,  it is like shock then amaze because i don't know that there is a kind of this currency and that is bitcoin..

Bitcoin is not an altcoin it is the main coin an altcoin is an alternative coin to Bitcoin, going back to your question the first altcoin I stumble after Bitcoin was dogecoin because of its popularity and community support, but the only negative or downside is its huge supply .

The first altcoin that i probably heard about was BAT or basic attention token. I had no idea what it was nor what it stands for so i researched about it then eventually, through further research, i came across other Altcoins. It was then i realized that there were so many altcoins that we can choose from.

I think for me, DogeCoin. I only know Bitcoin that time but when other websites offer me Dogecoin to earn, I tried to research that one and it says another cryptocurrency. That was the time I knew that Bitcoin is not the only cryptocurrency that can be used online.

The first altcoin I've heard is Nem or Xem. And at first I do not think of those things and I realized that there is more than bitcoin. I mean, there were more cryptocurrency other than bitcoin. I realized it after I've learned about this alternative cryptocurrency.

My friends told me about btc but i thought this isnt smart move to put ur money in internet coins but after i invest in some coins i changed my mind about them

Really you already know that there are hundreds of alt coins already? At first I really don't have an idea of what are alt coins, crypto currencies are. The only thing that I know is only bitcoin as it is. I thought that there are no other digital coins the same with bitcoin. But the first altcoin that I knew is Ethereum.

The first time I know is Litecoin and Doge, because in the country market I provide 2 altcoin, I was stopped from crypto currency but I regret because the price is very expensive nowadays  :'(

Regret is always coming last, but I did not give up and try again  ;D

For me I come into this space all because of Bitcoin and I saw coinmarketcap.com with list of 100s of other coins but the list of coins I started researching on are Litecoin, Dash, Doge, and Ethereum but out of all these list Ethereum is the biggest wnner, becuase the price was way below $1 per tokens then. A real life changing investment

After my first encounter with Bitcoin, I came to know about other Altcoins such as Ethereum or ETH. It's fairly almost as popular as Bitcoin. Then after some research, I discovered others such as Litecoin and dogecoin. There's a lot more but I only remember these. I stumbled upon these other altcoins because they were starting to become popular, and acclaimed users have been saying that they have advantages which Bitcoin doesn't have. I haven't tried using any of them yet but their growing popularity has started to interest me.

I think the very first alt-coin that I heard was Ethereum.
And my first reaction was a bit curious I am only newbie in crypto at the moment and I thought that bitcoin was the only digital currency.

My first altcoin was Doge. Started mining it. Everybody said it was just a joke that wouldn't last for more than a year... we all know it lasted much longer, and still keeps big community

After discovering Bitcoin and all the cryptoworld I immediately found Ethereum and considering the high value of Bitcoin I started mining ether. Unfortunately sold 25 ether I mined for 7 dollars last year but that's another story.

The first altcoin I've heard aside from bitcoin is the ethereum and I really regret when I don't believe with this coin before since I though its another shitcoins added around but turns out that It made me confuse and doubt more since the price way back before is 0.005 when I see it first and it could make me rich by now if I bought on that price before. But things works as usual and I think ethereum's luck is not on my side so I'm little bit adopting it for now since maybe it could make me rich when time goes pump on it again.

DOGE and LTC is the first altkoin I know. just happy, there are alternative coins traded with BTC. When I first heard it, I was curious about the process and team that made it.

The first altcoin was Litecoin, then was also Fethercoin and more other alts, that's no any more. Reaction on LTC was like BTC is gold, and LTC - silver.

Same here, it was hard for me to believe in bitcoin before, it took me time to appreciate bitcoin, and then there goes more alts . I felt dump when I need to have a ETH wallet since it's my first time before in ETH. I got a wallet add but I didn't have the key so at the end the campaign I joined that time is a free work since the wallet can't be changed.

Actually the first I heard was btc to Altcoin maybe i heard first was ethereum a few months ago,he is often talked about by many people and always compared with bitcoin

doge is a very amazing, i like it dogecoin and i also mining dogecoin. yesterday Dogecoin price down and i was lucky because by the time the price went down I already had of Dogecoin.

It's funny but I thought alts were just Bitcoin in different forms. I did not really understand until reading more in this forum. I cannot remember which Altcoin I heard about first. I think it was Monero. It was in the news for a while because of dark markets.

The first alt coin i heard is stellar the abbreviation of it str last 2014 but now its xlm and my reaction about it is "why this coin gives free money when you sign up to their site. this coin will not last long" but I am wrong. its still existing and have a promising project up to now.

I knew Altcoin and bitcoin in the middle of last year, at the time Stratis, Antshare (now renamed Neo), Iconomi and some other coin. My friends and I invested in Antshare and Stratis when the ICO was just beginning. Actually the market was not as good as it is now, it can be said that I was investing with hope and betting with all that I had.  ;D

 I'm  a grade 11 student when I hear the word bitcoin. I know that it is the currency used in darkweb but I ignore it that time. And the time comes that I found it interesting, I asked my friend how does it goes and he introduced it to me and I learned that there are also other crypto like altcoins. The best altcoin for me was Dodgecoin for it has smaller fee than others.

Yeah like you I thought bitcoin is the only digital currency, that time I'm still a fresher in crypto world. I was reading about bitcoin thing when I read about the alternative coin or altcoin, I first encounter namecoin and ether and thought that's the only altcoin then I was shook to know that there are hundreds altcoin in the exchange. That moment I said to myself that I need to learn a lot about the crypto currency that my knowledge is not yet enough.

 The first altcoin that I discovered was Litecoin. At the time, I thought it was useless because it was kinda of a clone of bitcoin. Now, Litecoin has established itself in the crytoworld. I never thought I would see the raise of altcoins and scam coins.

I am using Bitcoin for few months when I heard there are other coins aside from bitcoin. The first coin I heard is Litecoin but I dont care. Until I started to learn trading. So I started to learn other coins.

If I remember it correctly, the first altcoin that I have heard is dogecoin. I have heard it from my friends who knows bitcoin too because doge is their favorite currency to use in terms of gambling. When I first heard about it, I have tried to mine some and all went well. At first I think dogecoin is a bad altcoin but in the end, I have found it as another currency to use to send to others faster and cheaper and a good currency to receive tips even if developer abandoned it's development.

The first altcoin I heard about is ripple. Ripple was the first altcoin for which one of my local Exchange started trading. Used to trade them but left after a year. Now my portfolio has more than 25 coins for long term.

Such coin, many wow! I guess doge is what got the attention of many people back when it launched and got us here. At least that's what happened to me. I heard about doge and finally decided to check this crypto thing out. And here we are.

First crypto I've ever heard was Bitcoin, then very first altcoin was Litecoin. I used only Bitcoin up to yesterday. I didn't know about this post so I got Litecoin wallet today and I think it's still Bitcoin of 2011. I know I can convert this easily, but I bought it using SMS because I had lots of funds on my prepaid. I don't enroll alts so I exchanged it back to Bitcoin. Couldn't find Bitcoin for SMS in my country.

My first altocoin was also doge coin and it was introduced to me by the freebitco site isn't that funny?  I used to call it doggy coin because I would forget, and I would play games with 10 or 20 at a time.  It's a good little side coin and I see it has a bright future.

Well since I had no idea about altcoins, only knew about Bitcoin, I heard about Ethereum for the first time and I was like "WTH? ETH? Wtf crypto currency is that? Is that a joke?". I didn't decide to buy ETH so that I was really disappointed when its price went up.

Litecoin is the first altcoin I heard or lets say I discovered while farming in faucets like fieldbitcoin I discovered that i can also farm ltc but i was not aware that it is called altcoin and i dont have any idea what is the usage of the coin.

The first time that I have heard altcoin is just a couple of weeks or just exactly a month ago since then because that was my first time to participate and join a campaign and earned an altcoin in exchange for my sleepless nights of work. I was shocked and wondering what altcoin is and was amaze to know that there are still a lot of altcoins that I will encounter.

in recently, i think its a source to get money without hardwork, i mean some people be employee work in office at morning till evening even night. and in bitcoin youre free without bond in time. and everybody who do this must be rich

I first heard bitcoin and then ripple but as bitcoin is too expensive for me, I bought ripple but I lost %30 of my money, now I am in digibyte, ethereum classic and few ico coins.

Ethereum. I heard of bitcoin two years ago but when I read about ethereum, I was thinking of an expensive gas chain. Yet, when I discovered it's another cryptocurrency, I declared to myself that it has a nicer sound to the ear than bitcoin. Don't get me wrong! I love bitcoin. I use it to pay bills but the term "ethereum" feels magic. It isn't the most popular cryptocurrency as of the moment but soon, it will be. Headlines all over the world will look like this, Bitcoin vs. Ethereum.

Ethereum, from a colleague of mine. He never buyed it, but he was watching the coin since it was at 18$... I bought it at ~60$ and now i have a big smile in my face, everytime i see him  ;D

First time I heard about Ethereum in last two years rreference by my elder sister but that's time my hand is empty so this time I able to hold some coin.That's time my reaction is very cool.

I heard Litecoin first and then Namecoin, Peercoin, Primecoin etc. What Btc-e have at that time. We didn't care about altcoins then. Now it's very big part of whole crypto-currency business. Bitcoin is still the king though (and it will ever be). I see Ethereum and ETH based tokens as part of gaining my total Bitcoin amount.

The first altcoin I heard is ethereum. They say that you can earn it easily but it has a lower value than bitcoin. When I read news, blogs, and forums about this, I discovered that they were right. Ethereum can be easily earned but has a lower value than bitcoin but for me it is okay because I don't need a high value like bitcoin. I just need profit for my needs.

First time I heard about bitcoin was early this year and my intial reaction was woah, may jaw dropped and think is this real is this even true that if you can earn this much the value of bitcoin is that amount? That was my reaction at first and that's what made me decide to gamble in bitsler and think if I win from faucet I could convert my winnings into my own country fiat and can put my money to good use like buy something, so that is what I did and now I am here joining campaigns too because of bitcoin.

I hear about Bitcoin this year through my friend who joined this forum last year.When I hear first time about Bitcoin I find it quite interesting topic.After that I searched it at goggle than I found all information about this.This my first Altcoin I heard about.

I remember the first coin i even heard was dogecoin, i used to claim bitcoins on freebitco like everyone else used to do in past and they introduced their another site called freedoge that time i didn't know anything about doge i simply claimed every hour and gambled end of the month. I remember i had 200,000 dogecoins in span of 3 months but i didn't know private key and stuff that time so those voins are now trapped in some wallet which was mine

Yes litecoin will pump up as they said because it was the first coin that incorporate segwit so it will be fast transaction.

Boring evening, surfing around in the www, by chance I found an article about ETH.

First reaction:
Downloading wallet.
Waiting terrible 3 days of syncing, while ETH starts slowly climbing.

Second reaction:
Buying BTC and sending it immediately to ShapeShift. Getting crazy, because I had reduced the fee for the transaction and it is taking more than a day to arrive at ShapeShift.

Third reaction after a few days:
Smiling. ETH taking off.

When I am also new on the world of crypto-currency I just focus on the mainstream currency such as the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is highly appreciated and develop in my country so I stick on using it in my transaction. But when the time I heard about trading , I do things to educate myself to trade. And I become aware on altcoin which technically means all other crypto-currency next to Bitcoin. And the nest crypto-currency I used is the ethereum which the second best crypto that can be used on transaction. And also for trading exchange that I do to earn.

The very first altcoin I heard is btc off course. Then I dont give any attention on it since I didnt understand how does that coin work. Three years after, btc had already made to much noise and I made some research then only that I realized I wasted such a great oppurtunity haha...now I won't say Im an expert already much have enough knowledge to make some profit and earnings from this altcoins.

I think most of us late 2013 people are here because of Doge. I still like it, even though it's been dead as shit for a long time. Doge showed us that money can be fun.

My first time i heard about altcoins is 2 weeks ago ..  When i heard bitcoin im so interested on how it works and why using bitcoin for currency online. My first reaction is confused ??? ??? But also happy  ;D cause i know im going to earn something here if i continue to join in the projects that are created in this forums.
