I am not taking part in the race towards the split chain. I have exchanged my btc to 65%doge and 35% ripple.
What altcoins will you be holding/exchanging for the August 1 ?

I'm 2/3 Neo(Antshares) and 1/3 NXT.

rain condensate and netko, are good altcoin, because they have strong pos, and people like free money so they are buying them like crazy, inf act they are among the few coins that increased their value when allt he other were dumped, i'm also holding nexus and spreadcoin, because spreadcoin have the free HLM swap

I think it is not a bad thing to hold some bitcoin for August 1st, I still think there will be some positive news just after that day, so I will choose to hold my btc tightly.

I am actually holding onto a few coins, BTC, LTC, Dash and Monero, but I honestly don't believe that the split will take place, but that doesn't mean that I am right, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I do not know altcoin for 1 August, I would like to listen to your topic to get information about altcoin 1st August.

I split my funds to many altcoin, not putting all to some altcoin. My list holding in present is: Litecoin, Monero, Dash, Ethereum Classic, Monaco, MobileGo, Digibyte, Siacoin, Factom and XEM ;D. Special I putting 30% my funds to Monero because it's best coin I like

For now, I doesn't hold any alternative cryptocurrencies now. Bitcoin is on 66% on segwit but we can' tsurely know that it will go successful because there is chances to makr bitcoin split and that's make alternative currencies affected so its better to hold any coin on August 1 than now.

I'm holding stratic, basic attention token, bancor, tezos and waves for agusut 1. I'm holding bitcoin in the same time with following altcoins. Diversifying the money is the best for risky situations like his.

Definitely litecoin, imo if btc fails at any time litecoin is going to replace it, it has as fast if not faster transactions, limited supply, segwit and it will implement lighting soon. Also holding ETC.

There won't be a split chain. Bip141 team and Segwit team have agreed on a new proposal SEGWIT-BIP91. It will remain one bitcoin.

I have bought many new ICO as well as altcoins from my BTC and ETH pockets. Neverdie and shadow are my latest collection. Bought Bitsend, Denarius and some Litecoins. Still my 33% of savings is in Bitcoin as I know that it will go up after August 1st.

I have converted all my bitcoins which i was holding to fiat currency, and apart from that i am holding altcoins like, ICN, ICOB, VSL, TIME AND PBLT, This are some coins which i think are good for long term also.

I am holding xem and bash. I do not think there is a need to convert to alt or fiat anymore because there is no more threat on that day but if ever things changes, I will convert some to xem and some I will keep. My bitcoins are safely kept anyway, so the only thing I am protecting if I convert to alt or fiat is the monetary value. If bitcoin price falls, I just have to hold on my bitcoins.

I have converted most of my btc to altcoins, ETH, TIME, LDOGE, PBLT AND some other coins also which are good for long time. Apart from that this all coins are related to ETH so if their is any problem in BTC so the next big coin is ETH which will get benefited and all ETH platform projects will also get more benefit.

I think waves is the smart choice for holding August 1.not only waves,eth & ltc are the same.this three altcoins for me is the best now.if you hold tight then you must be gets profit.

Mostly BNT (60%) and the rest split up in ANS and OMNISE. ;D

Just keep your bitcoin, it surely will jump in price when it stabilizes. And you don't want to be left behind....

Wave & eth is the best option to hold because in the future it will be very important for transaction costs, I buy some coins before the price goes up again, and now I have stopped all trading activity until the condition that happened in August is stable. .

I'm not really concerned with the Aug 1 event. I don't even believe that the split will happen. I'm gonna hold my bitcoins and sell it when the price booms. I have a handful of Ethereum though. So if I'm mistaken then I will still have something to hold on.

No I wont be left behind since  i am gonna buy bitcoin as soon as the event is finished. The event is probably goin to take place for 2-3 days . So lets say by august 3 it will get over and as soon as it does, I will exchange my altcoins to bitcoin and hope that the price of bitcoin will rise . No risk and no loss using this strategy.

That's great. Litecoin does have the potential to rise up in the future but i dont think that it will replace bitcoin since bitcoin is the king of cryptos. Bitcoin will rule the cryptos until atleast the next 5 years, more i hope.

Surely it is better to sell Altcoins back into BTC to receive your free BCC . . . it will probably be worthless although there is some support from China which could make it valuable.

The price of BTC will also likely soar when the event is over and the dust settles then you can re-buy your Alts and likely get more for your BTC??

i split my btc to xrp, waves, stratis, sia coin and dgb and wait for 1st august happenings on crypto market.

I have not huge amount of btc for buying huge amount of coin or more number of coin.but by my little amount i want to buy and hold some NXT and DGB coin for august 1st.

No don't sell alts, this might be very bad design.. No there will not be BCC, it is over with this story.
I'm not sure in ZCL, without funding there is no development. Only maybe if they can find some ways, else they cannot compete with coins who have large amounts dedicated for progress. I would rather choose ETC it is very undervalued.

It's true that's the most popular coin Ethereum, Litecoin, Ethereum Classic (that's my review), Coins that have price stability and will have a good future.

I have sold almost all of my alt coins, the remain alt coins are MYST, BNT and QTUM. I think these coins have much potential and the price can not be lower.

I will check these two out. I am looking for some good quality staking coins. I also think INSN is good as well as it's value went up also instead of down during this Bitcoin/Forking panic mode. I am purchasing JANUS also and NXT while I can as well to also get free Ignis token in NXT.

I believe in ETH, ETC and LTC these 3 coins definitely grow so fast. But I am holding some Dogecoins any idea when this coin will hit $1. Because I am holding some coins for long term investment. Doge, Burst these 2 coins are very good investment those who are looking for long term investment.

I am going to convert everything to Litecoin before August 1. Then I will wait a week or 2 two and see how the things are going.Why Litecoin?

Since I don't know what will happen after Aug 1 , I keep one-third my BTC, and the rest I bought ETH and LTC and some from the new ICO like PBT, PLBT and PLR.

I thought that Maid will safe my btc during the big btc dump, but i missed..(
Now i keep ltc, etc, nxt, nem, dash, and a bit of  some other coins like doge, stratis, dgb and wings
Also keep a bit of btc to take some alt near the bottom before the pump)

There is no need to dump ones Altcoin portfolio, the worst about August 1 is over and I believe nothing significant will happen on the day, what I have learnt from my experience in crypto is not to always follow the crowd

I would go for neo, dash, eth and ltc. These coins are going to rise anyway so it should be safe enough to buy them. Or you could get USD Tether and keep it as virtual fiat

I am actually holding a couple of coins for August 1, invested around four to five tokens and coins like NEM, Digibyte, Siacoin, Waves and Ethereum because I believe after the August 1 drama these coins will go back to the prices where they left off.

Me too ive already stay on that coin when you view the profile of that coin its good and until now. Ethreum may be a good coin for me that would rather to hold.

DIMCOIN as you now is an ongoing ICO. And except SEC/SAFEX and FTC all of my coins are the altcoins which fell dramatically during this crisis and all of these coins has big expectations for the short term and long term. SEC/SAFEX and FTC are my long term investments.

BURST and adc seem safe to me but then so do loads of others inc bitcoin.  The drama over splitting coins is unnecessary as its just a consensus voting...then again its late and im drunk.    time to waste dogecoin on gambling, hic

i think i'll hold  etherium if ever i get my bounties this month , then i'll hold etherium then after the bitcoin fork end , i will convert it into btc then withdraw it , because after the bitcoin fork i think it will be more risky if we hold it long in the wallet

Verge. It seems to be less correlated with the whole market downswings and recovers pretty well too. I have a lot of faith in it.

I will hold all the coins, I am holding the last month. Without a single change in my portfolio. Why? Because I am convinced, that the projects behind this coins will suceed. And please believe me: The sun will rise, the birds will sing, electricity will stream out of your socket like everyday and live will go on after aug1st. 

I think Verge is a great long term investment. Maybe it will hit a dollar in some years.

Don't be a fool, hold Bitcoin. I wouldn't  touch Litecoin with a 10 foot pole.

I think ICN and STRAT are two definite long term hodls

- I keep quite a lot of coin, including ETH, ETC, LTC and under my personal opinion, I think coin I am keeping very potential, if kept in the long run, it will bring me a huge profit
- I think after August 1, the price of bitcoin will increase again, it also means that the price of altcoin will also increase, so now is a good time for me to buy more and accumulate as much as possible

At this point buying ETH seems like a god idea, the price is below 200 dollars and it is way below its all time high, so buying seems like a good choice, because after bitcoin goes up thanks to the renewed faith in the project the rest of the altcoins will follow.

Different from you, I feel very worried about the value of bitcoin after August 1. So I sold everything, I want a safety instead of risk. Everything is too dim to see the future of bitcoin.

I think the MGO is the best option to keep and make a profit. Take a look at their project, a truly technological platform for the world, without any excuse that might hinder its development.

Why do you even convert your btc to doge, it's gonna hurt later. As for me my holding is still the same, few btc, waves, golem, sphre, sonm and some embers for speculation.

There are a lot of really great altcoins out there for a silly price. I mostly hold the most mainstream altcoins ETH, WAVES, ARK and etc.

Although this is best choice for people worried about the future of Bitcoin. But you need remember in history Bitcoin has experience many time as current, and look the price now, after big crash the value of Bitcoin when comeback always high than history price, so why still worry about Bitcoin and not buy it now for future?

Currently, I have sold off all the altcoin that I own, but if I could keep them, I would choose Monaco. Although it is carrying a very low value compared to the original, but I think it will go up in the future.

I am holding quite a few altcoins for August 1 and bought Ethereum, BTC, Digibyte and Waves. I'm trusting my instincts that these coins will increase after the August 1 split and hopefully if it won't then I'll just hold them for a couple of years. Anyways there's no harm in trying right? But these are just a small amount of coins.

I am holding 3 but planning to add another two altcoins. Etherium, Litecoin, Dogecoin and will see if Monero and Dash is worth saving now. Seen the highs and lows of prices of this cryptos and I am positive they will not fail me.

I currently have BTC and ETH on me. I would like to add Litecoin on my list but I think these two that I'm holding is good enough for me. Depending on the outcome of the split though.

I'm holding FOOTY CASH(FOOT), it has gained A LOT in the near past and I hope it will gain even more in the future. It is easily the only coin in existence that does what it does. Fantasy sports is an industry worth over a billion dollars and they aim to be a payment method on sites like Draftking.

Waves, DigiByte, Blocknet, Ubiq, Edgeless, Storj, Humaniq have a good potential for growth. I think they will start to grow after bitcoin hard fork. The market will gain confidence.

Will avoid such coin, in which there is a possibility of confusion like today. Also many had requested to pump UNB which has potential to go beyond 10x. Didnt pick it because it is about to get delist. If anyone got stuck in this about to get delist coins will suffer major loss, once the coin get delisted. Hence UNB was and will be avoided.

Nice picked for ethereum, I also buy ethereum as preparation for their unexpectedly raising up. Because in my opinion ethereum coins had big chance to increased price in the market.

If that is the way you felt then that is ok but I think people are falling once gain in the same old trick of listening to FUD, most people are going to dump bitcoin cash as soon as they get it, so I do not think there is going to be any kind of big crisis, the price of bitcoin is going to stay where it is.

I'm not planning to exchange my BTC to some altcoin on August 1. The reason is simple, BTC had experienced a lot of ups and downs before and I think it had established it's name since it started from nothing into something. It's price may decrease a lot, but it will soon recover and might even raise higher. I think I'll just take the risk if ever. Let's just all see what happens.

Some of you should get used to coins up and down. We experienced huge inflation during this year. Constant growth is not going to happen.

My current portfolio is: Ark, Hush, NEO, Shift, Waves and (something I regret) Espers.

obviously, ETH is like a core for many of token by its smart contract and it's really have the chance of rising up within significant amount of time so why not?

I didn't trade any BTC to alts. I'll never do that! But I have no issue earning other alts or exchanging some loose BTC on exchanges for alts over the months (to save on transfer or when I don't have enough for minimum WD).

As a result, my alt holdings: ETH Doge Dash

Short but sweet! Yes this is best time for buying, when this new BCC or BCH finds their way to the exchanges Bitcoin will be free and will return in alts, and maybe we can expect even glorious uprise. So use this blessed time for investing.

BURST is useless, I don't know why people keep promoting this coin. It won't replace any of the big coins.
