Title: Paper Wallet - is walletgenerator.net legit?
Post by: Bitcoincy on July 26, 2017, 04:05:58 PM
I don't have a hardware wallet, that is why I want to make a paper wallet. Off-the-internet, of cause.

The website's twitter account is inactive, and there is a small spelling mistake. Should I just ignore that?
Last question, if I download the generator from GitHub, and launch it without internet - can I move coins to it safely, and expect them to be on the paper wallet?
That I won't be sending them to an invalid or wrong address, that the paper wallet generated is legit, and I will indeed - have my coins, in my control.

For a fact: I know about bitaddress.org, but I like the design on walletgenerator.net - better.

Yes, they are legit.

That's actually the best way of generating your paper wallet and avoiding any possible malwares. So, yes. Your generated address will work.

No worries. You will be safe. Download the source code and generate a wallet while offline if you want to be 100% safe. You can also generate a temporary paper wallet, send a small amount of BTC and test the private key to see if you are really in control of your coins. Then, just generate a new one that you will keep it safe.

Thank you! The last thing you mention, is what I want to get passed. I just want to send the whole payment, in one transaction, with one fee - and not twice. Is it, a too big chance to take?

The safest inexpensive way of storing your bitcoins in cold storage without having it electronically and putting your money at risk.
Nothing is 110% bulletproof - but this is very close to be. :D

Im using my well know websites for paper wallets. Its safer to use what you know for years instead some new not tested and verified websites.
If you decide to use them, good luck to you my friend, hope you will be happy.

Has anyone tried this purse? It is painfully suspicious until it inspires confidence in me. (

I bet there is no hardware wallet that supports storing of bytecoin(BCN). All you can use is the official wallet of the coin on bytecoin.org. But I don't know why you still have this coin and really dunno if its still alive. It has been known as scam before.

Or just simply generate a bytecoin address, write down the private key and send your funds to it. There doesn't need to be some elaborate way of making an actual paper wallet looking paper wallet. It can even show the public key if it makes it easier.
