Ok, so I have £1500.

I am 17 years old. I want to make money...
I have three weeks of summer left to do it.
I know that buying and holding Bitcoin is almost guaranteed to make me money in the long run but, I need more money than I already have.

How do I get 10x returns in three weeks?
Altcoins? ICO? Buy a Bitcoin ATM? Create a cryptocurrency myself?

Thanks

My suggestion for you now is to buy more Minereums (MNE) while the exchange rate is low. Do the Trading at LIVECOIN.net. Minereums will increase it's value by August. You have a choice and consider my good advice for you to earn more. And please, no bitcoin transactions on July 31, August 1, and after August 1. Read the reminders from bitcoin.org. Wait for further announcement. Just a friendly reminder from us. Spend wisely.

Sorry to break it to you, but it will be almost impossible to get 2x return in three weeks let alone 10x. Maybe in three years...

Earning money is not such easy. It's impossible to make a good profit in only three weeks. I recommend you to spend more times on cryptocurrencies. Do some research, learn and spend your extra times on it after summer too.
You seem so inexperienced. In this way you may lose your money.

You can't make a target price for an exact period of time if you will do trades. 10x return is possible but it's doesn't have a 100% chance. Trading is patience and needs time, same with the coins as they are all facing the price volatility.

To answer your question, none if you want an exact answer. Crypto trading is not meant for people who are in rush of profits.

There is no guaranteed why to make money in Crypto-currencies. It is just like making money in the real world.

You need to be skilled and knowledgeable about your area of expertise because there is always competition. You can try trading, but if you make a bad call you could lose big. Plus you have to pay trading fees. You could buy and sell cryptos for 10% rate, but you have to pay taxes and may get in trouble with FINCEN or other government entity in your country. And the market still could swing in the wrong direction costing you. You can try gambling, but you will lose in the long run because the casino has a house edge always!

The only solid way to make money with cryptos is trading Items, Labor and Cash for BTC and HODLing. Bitcoin has increased in value an average of 0.4% per DAY since it started. There is no better investment.

You can work for cash doing small jobs around town, mowing lawns, picking up extra shifts at your job, cleaning up dog poop for people, scraping metal, ANYTHING to earn some cash so you can buy BTC.

10x returns in three weeks is a pipe dream and the other 2 options aren't feasible for what you have now.

Altcoins and ICO have a good chance to do better than bitcoin but you still won't see 10x returns in such a short period unless you gamble it on some pump and dumps and get extremely lucky.

I would suggest altcoins but it won't be enough to achieve your goal.

Title: Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies?
Post by: CryptoBoomers on July 26, 2017, 09:42:55 PM
10x returns is not impossible, but it would be beginners luck if you did achieve it.

Staying on top of ICO's and or being good at reading charts on mid-sized exchanges to know when a MM is pumping and cooking books and staying ahead of him on the dumps, could be a way to do it.

My best advice though: Buy some BTC with it and forget about it. Don't trade as a noob in full swings hoping to double/triple/10x unless you're prepared to lose it all in a few bad moves. < I mean this is how you learn to trade but if it's your savings account you'll stress yourself out and probably not retain much of said learning.

If you do start trading alts and riding pumps, do it with a small % (like 10%) so you can be ok with losing it should you make bad trades/bad timing etc.

Monitor the price of bitcoin and when it gets lower buy before August 1. As it was expected to pump after August 1. And the possible profit you are expecting can be reached with your given time but of course I don't guarantee that, it's a tough decision but base on what happened weeks ago, it's possible to happen.

all you can do, ranging from mining, trading, ico, buy bitcoin atm, make your own cryptocurrency. only one thing you should know about making money on cryptocurrency, that you have to have a lot of experience in it. because without the experience you will have confidence, so start now to get a lot of experience in advance. You will never get anything great without any experience and you should be able to control myself from all the circumstances of the encounter. Because if you are playing in a manner not true everything will end in loss

Some of the advice here is good.

Making a 10x return is highly unlikely in a short time frame.  Bank it, buy some BTC, whatever you do, play it safe and don't get involved too much just yet.  You still have college/uni/work and all the other stuff young people have to do.

If you're determined to make a mark somewhere, spend some time learning more about it and doing some research. Separate fact from fiction and if anything seems too good to be true, it probably is. Be careful and don't allow anyone to sway your better judgement with unknowns and speculation.

Good luck!

It is hard to make that much profit in 3 weeks, if you want to make that much profit then you need to do a very risky things that might cause you to lose money, you can go buy ICO and pray that it will work well or bring your money to gamble, but I will not suggest both of that things because you will likely to lose money rather than to gain some, the one that has less risk is trading, but I doubt you can earn that money in a short time

It will possible for you to make at least more than 25% but i don't think if you can be made over 2-3x return for your investment. The best activities for you to take the altcoin as the primary way for you to do that. i mean buy the dip and sell in the sky. You understand, right? To buy bitcoin you will agree with the long-term holding.

Please don't ever think to create another crap coin. It will not good for you.  :'(

the only thing you should do right now is altcoin trading because that is the only way which logically makes sense to me. as of you want to make quick money and you don't sound like hard working so you can not do work in freelance. but if you are hardworking enough and do have some skills then why don't you just invest some money on the freelance certificates so you can get jobs online and you can get big money from those and that can probably give you a money boost for a huge time, not just 3weeks. and by the way, i am 18

my suggestion is trading  in cryptocurrencies if you know how to trade you make a good profit, also investing to new altcoin is good to invest if the project is success, is not easy to make money online you need to have skills and knowledge about crytocurries to earn money fast, if you do not want to invest your own money, if you have capabilities about programing like web designing, language translation does have cryptocurrency paying in the market services for a job

10x returns in three weeks?
Man, that's a lot you know.

As for me, I'd suggest buy altcoins. But there's no guarantee that you could gain 10x.
You need skill and you need to learn the basic.
You can't just buy any coins as you like.

Well you can do trading actually. And that is the best way for you to be successful. Do trade. You have so much more money to buy altcoins And so many opportunities to see. You can do many long term.

Title: Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies?

3 weeks is a very short span of time, you do not expect to make 10x of your initial money unless you are an expert day trader. You need capital, experience and time to be a profitable trader, which I think you do not have. instead of targeting short, instant profit, why not go for long term investments. invest in bitcoin and education. learn how to be a good trader and someday 10x will be an easy target.

Title: Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies?
Post by: Talabrek on July 27, 2017, 01:41:55 AM
10x is possible in 3 weeks, but also very unlikely. Definitely stay away from day trading until you have more experience.

I think the best bet would be to do some research in altcoins and try to find hidden gems with solid tech and active development that maybe had poor advertising and slipped through the cracks. Don't get greedy, and don't buy into hyped coins that were just pumped.

Title: Re: How to make money in cryptocurrencies?

First a market or the trading site is unpredictable and a wild site meaning no one knows what will happen if the value of the coins will going to pump or dunp. In reality you cannot earn 10x in just 3 weeks it's really impossible but maybe you can earn 2-3x in just 3 weeks by just trading coins. But becareful you really need to reaseaech about what coin are you going to invest you don't know maybe that coin may dumps when you invest on it remember that you should have enough knowldge in order to double or grow your bitcoin by using trading

Its very hard to even get 2x of your investment within three weeks. You are expecting 10x and i think its highly impossible.Bitcoin or any other coin is not a quick rich scheme.Price increases or decreases as per the demand. So,you are in the wrong place.

One of the important things that you need to know about crypto is that you need patience and you cannot have very high expectations in short period of time. You expect 10× return but you don't even have little knowledge on what you have to do to get that 10× return. And 3 weeks is really a very short perod of time ,and the thing is you need to have a lot of knowledge to get at least 2× return and the time period will be at least 1 year. Sorry I don't know how to help you with this . Hope you understand why I am saying so.

i think three weeks is enough if you want to make money with your budget but you need to watching market to follow the price up and down and if there is any good enough spread, then i think you can make profit. i think its better to buy bitcoin and hold rather than to buy altcoin because for now, altcoin price is unpredicted and sometimes the price is down too far so we can not make money.

Here it is a really big and great thing that you are starting to work in the cryptocurrency Field at very low age , So it will be better for you to understand about it to understand in step by step .
Now came at the investment strategy , as usual if you don't have time to spend with the cryptocurrency market fluctuations then you should buy Bitcoin and hold for long term , but if you have 1-2 hours daily then you should kept your eye open in the market and make buy only those coin which are getting fluctuated daily with 10 to 20% , so more better is to buy them daily and sell in the same day with small profit .
Now came at the 10× profit in week , this is totally unknown thing for everyone because it all depends upon the prediction that how the coins price increase according to your idea , so make small profit is not a bad idea to make money in Field ( but it is also a truth that you can make big in very small time depending upon your luck ) .

I would not call it impossible because we have seen some pumps that made 2x-5x at once. for example, Litecoin. But it is very very hard to predict the altcoin or ICO that can go sky high. Invest what you can afford to lose is my suggestion if you are interested in altcoins and ICO's.

If you want really make the money then don't think about the investment first , but first of all you need to understand about the market , And learn about the real reason of market fluctuations and how to lower the chances of loss in the investment and also identify that which type of investment are better and which are not better .
If you understand all such types of things then I don't think that you will face any type of big loss , you will only make profit in the future with every investment .
And besides of these factors you need to have lot of patience , because patience is that key of success in this field where you can make lot of profit with your investment .

As many member here said, there is there is possibility you can double your money upto 10x, but there is no guarantee period.
Mining, it has timing period contract, for earn much, their offering option long period. and you looking fast money in 3 weeks. so there is no chance
Trading cyrpto, earn slow money, there is chance you got profit on trading by today, even yesterday you just lose much.
Gambling, earn very fast money, chance small. lost all your money, chance big.

Basically investment is the main way to make money into cryptocurrency because by trading rather daily trade or long term holding of coins you will get a profit as long as you will buy low and sell high. Furthermore, you need a big capital for big earnings so I suggest that big capital will totally provide you a big earnings.

As majority of the users mentioned being a trader is the right way to make money through cryptocurrencies. Regularly lots of digital currencies were coming into existence. All we need is a good learning about the market variation happening with time. One of the user has suggested creating their own coin and making money, which is highly a risky thing to do, because it requires high technical knowledge.

Just like you said buy btc when it's on low period. The sure way to increase your btc with that amount of money is by trading in trusted exchange depend on your country. But to be able to make stable profit trading, you need to have the knowledge and you seem don't have that kind of experiences yet. So it's better for you to expand your knowledge first and start small.
Secondly the most safest way maybe by lending it in poloniex or any trusted website. Don't rush about what you do. It's easier to lose your money than make it double if you didn't have what it takes.

Don't try to go this route. It is very unlikely that you will ever make 2x, let alone 10x, as pointed out by fanbeila. Any method that will yield you with these profits is most likely going to be extremely risky. Just be patient and invest most of your money into bitcoin. Also, try to sell your services for jobs on this forum. You will be rewarded with bitcoin and this is a very safe and profitable way to make plenty of money, depending on what you do.

Earning money is not such easy. It's impossible to make a good profit in only three weeks. I recommend you to spend more times on cryptocurrencies. Do some research, learn and spend your extra times on it after summer too.
You seem so inexperienced. In this way you may lose your money.
I agree. Money won't be instant because you need to invest time and money in order to have something in return. Hardwork will pay off. He'll need more informations and he should read about it if he wants to achive his goal for the summer which is to multiple his money. Quite imposible.
yes it is time consuming and is too much hard ward you need to work non stop because earning money from any place is not such  easy as we think, i think it is even not so easy to earn money from gambling.

Yes. There's a possibility that the price of btc will go up.
Just make sure that you hold all your coins and wait til the price is good before you sell them.
In that case, you'll enjoy your life with btc. :)

As you know that definitely bitcoin give you profit than why not buy it. Now i prefer to bitcoin than all other crypto currencies. But if you want to earn profit within 3 weeks. Then i think it is a short time, but still it would be possible that you could earn money to buy the bitcoin right now and concentrate the price and suddenly sell them, when you see this price give you profit. Now it is depend on your skills you could earn it or not.

The consequences of youthful maximalism. You have 17 years and you must understand that money is nothing to sneeze at and in order to make them need to put a lot of effort. If you need money urgently, you are not here. Arrange for temporary work and earn Fiat.

The suggestion of creating of own cryptocurrency is so risky, although the trend of cryptocurrency is going very fast toward popularity. I think we should not be taken such kind of huge risks and instead of creating our own currency we must have to focus on bitcoin and start trading in bitcoin because bitcoin is so much stable and trustful currency in the field of cryptocurrency.
