A look at what Shift coin is. This is Currypto's first public article, and I will have more in the near future to grow interest in my investigation service.

Enjoy fellow cryptoenthusiasts. I hope you like it and support me to look past the bullshit these coins are pushing.

TL;DR: Shift has promise, but currently is not that amazing. It is not a scamcoin.

What makes you sure it is not a scamcoin? I would like to hear some facts about it. And yes, I'm lazy and will start reading about it once you convinced me that it is a good idea.

It isn't a scam. There are some devs that put a lot of effort into developing tech for Shift. The community is fairly active on Ryver.

1. I've looked at their code.
2. Their goal is achievable/reasonable. They also have a prototype on a testnet.
3. Their marketing sucks :) (ok, not a real good reason!)
4. I definitely wouldn't call it a "get rich quick" coin either. As I conclude in my article, they will have to team up with IPFS team to really cause a stir.

Can you provide some ideas as to how marketing can be improved? We have been brainstorming ideas on how to increase Shift's exposure to the crypto public and would love your inputs.

I think you will agree this project is a hell of a lot better than most projects that are currently ranked inside the Top 100 only due to hype. It is only due to lack of marketing that nobody knows what Shift is.

You are sure that this coin is not a scam coin. Can you prove. This might be a very good idea for you. But without any further explanation I may not believe that the coin will succeed.

I want to know more about this project .. I hope this is no scam.. :)

I think SHIFT is great. It is a solid project without much exposure yet. There is only 11 million coins total and it is currently under $1. The all time high has been $3, so as you can see there is room for short term and long term growth. Agreed the marketing needs to be improved - more activity on Facebook/Twitter, improve the UI of the main website, etc. They do have a telegram channel.

Dude it's nobody's job to prove anything to you. You need to do your own research and come to your own conclusions. Look the history of Shift. This is not a new fly-by-night cash grab project. It's been in development since 2015. It was a fork of Ethereum initially. They suffered a huge setback last year when the chain got 51% attacked (https://news.bitcoin.com/ethereum-clones-susceptible-51-attacks/ (https://news.bitcoin.com/ethereum-clones-susceptible-51-attacks/)). Phantom was already in testnet by then but they had to move the entire codebase to a Lisk fork and start all over again. The devs never gave up though. The devs were cash strapped and thought about increasing the coin supply by 1 million and holding an ICO but they never did as that would hurt existing holders. Now a year later, Phantom is once again in testnet. This is what I call hard work and dedication and this is what attracted me to this project more than anything else.

None of us are peddling Shift coins here nor are we Shift shills. Some of us actually see the great potential of this project and hence why we invested. This project is easily good enough to be inside the Top 30 of CoinMarketCap. Only reason why Shift is languishing so far below is because there is barely any marketing. The devs actually care about developing the project rather than writing a whitepaper full of buzzwords and conducting multi-million dollar ICOs. These are the sort of under-the-radar cryptos you want to be investing in, not flashy ICOs raising $200m with just a whitepaper in hand.

As I said, do not take my word for it. Do your own due diligence. I never take anyone's word at face value when I get a new lead, I do my own due diligence.

I invested in this project when the price was very low around 1k satoshi. A very nice project and price ll go on increasing for sure. I still keep half of them  ;D

Unfortunately marketing is often more important then the project itself now.

it was a good coin at early, it was a good ETH clone, but then the dev run awaya nd the project died like it happen for many coins, expanse was a better clone of eth but both are hist now, ETC is what you need to look at at the best ETH clone

It is hard to give solid evidence if something is a scam or not. Lets say I run a hotdog business. I sell you 5 hotdogs, you pay for them all. The next transaction you pay for your hotdog but I don't give you a hotdog - am I suddenly a hotdog scammer?

If we define scam as "giving something but getting nothing back", then Shift is definitely not a scam. With Shift you buy Shiftcoin, which you get storage/other things.



The next coin I am investigating is IOTA. It's main feature is "blockchainless transactions" which is kind of an oxymoron when you look at what it is.

So far not a single person has signed up to my service unfortunately.
