Title: Is this too much?
Post by: WolfgangDS on May 14, 2013, 08:37:45 AM
I've got an auction going on Bitmit.  5000 XRP for the price of 1 whole BTC.

Is that too much?  If so, should I cancel the auction and relist with a more appropriate price?

EDIT: Link to the auction.  https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/32617-5000-ripples-xrp

Why a bitmit auction?
You might just sell them within Ripple, cashing out through one of the gateways.
Auctions of this kind are useful for special items or physical stuff, but anonymous commodities such as XRP and BTC are best traded on an exchange with enough volume. Of course, in an auction you might yield more profit if you happen to find an uninformed buyer :-)

Yeah, I'll leave it up.  If no one takes it, then I'll just use the built in Ripple trader to unload the rest of it.
