As a student I am still struggling on how to deal with laziness I have when it comes to
studying.

Always need to represent the ultimate goal. If you get a good education, you can get a job at prestigious jobs and provide for yourself, and if you do not study, you can remain in poverty all your life and you will not have a family.

They are two cause that we became lazy .
1. Lack of interest : If you dont have an interest on that particular thing you will easily became lazy but you can deal on it by motivating yourself like thinking what benifits can you will get on that particular thing.
2. Enviroment: The enviroment also is one of a cause of laziness ,for example your room, you feel not comfortable and you easily became lazy in studying in your room ,theirs a solution on that just rearrange or redesign your room.

What I would add to that is to make a daily plan arrange them in order of importance. Do not do the easy ones to get them off the list, work from the top doing the most important ones first.

Also think long term, if you are someone who needs instant gratification, work on this, as it can really get in the way.

Yeah as a fellow student its really hard to study because of some teachers that just talk and just say the lesson no interaction with us, thats what bores me the most, i got inspired in many way battling my depression is one of it.  when i interview students in our area they said that they get motivted because of there gf and bf . do you agree?

It's hard to find motivation to be diligent in learning. Except by being ourselves and doing what we like, if we do not like it we have a way to learn to like things we do not like

yeah i believe its just a matter of who you are and what type of person you are. it really depends on oneself because you cant force students to study hard when they are distracted from other things, they should be guided though and let them enjoy what they are doing but keeping them thought of their responsibilities

1) Surround yourself with positive people. In school, and out. Negative people bring you down. Positive people raise you up.

2) Find something you really enjoy to take your mind off of the school work from time to time. Getting burnt out is a big reason people tend you start slacking in school.

3) Develop a schedule, where capable, of schoolwork time and then "play time", through the week. Try as hard as possible to adhere to this schedule. Again, work is important, but everybody needs some brain relaxation, too.

You just need to communicate more with strong people who have great goals, set goals and achieve them. Without goals, life will be wasted and you will not achieve anything, because laziness will destroy you.

You should put study something that you really want to know, doesn't matter what and how ridiculous it might sound for the school people, then learn everything you can about it.

You should find the things that would motivate you to study hard then study.

If you really want to finish studies. Maintain a good attitude in going to school. Being lazy won't help you and it will only put you in bad situation. It's better to have goals in life, set your dreams high and always think of your family as motivation in life to finish your studies.

Think of studying as a privilege rather than just a thing to do. Most of the people out there wants to have a formal education but can't afford one. Quit being lazy just to act cool and remove the mindset of "I can pass this class as easy as pie". Help the world become better by being an example. Don't you ever forget the people who help you with your studies. Maybe your parents or you are working to go to school that being said should be enough to motivate you. Just my sentiments on student being lazy. :D (I do hope you work hard to achieve your goal)

I was always motivated by the fact I'll be able to get a better job, earn my own money and live independantly of my parents. I would hate to depend on someone other than myself to provide for me.

Never having hard times when adulthood comes.

I was motivated by family on how i can help them to payed  every hardship that they give to me.

Bet (not involving money but something better) on each other who will get a high score in exams, test and other activities, this drive you and your friends to do their best. Make a deal with your parents (if possible) like you can get something out of studying hard, do it for long time, surely your mind will adjust and even without a deal, you will still review and study as hard as you did before. Try to set goals, or just challenge yourself by expecting to get this grade at the end, rewards can be a drive for you in study as well.

Be someone who can handle/manage their own finances.

Poverty. And being stepped on by people who are higher than you. Be bullied, underestimated. Left by a loved one because of being poor or being stupid. Those are just a few that can motivate a person. There is also the ego or pride that you gain when you have a degree, or the thought of all the people supporting you or believes in you. You just have to find the right push that you need to become someone who doesn't see education as boring but instead, an adventure and a training to become a productive person in your community someday that your children can bragg about.

Well. If you really need an inspiration just think about your parents. Think about their love and sacrifices that they are giving to you just to give you the future that you deserve. Think about how they are working on to earn money for your tuition fee. That would be enough to serve as motivation and inspiration.

Actually there is no magic pill for laziness. For as long as you don't know what are you studying for, you will walk in darkness searching for the light.

Told some story..In my city where I"m living , I go and meet many students(18-25)years old and ask them ...You know what is bitcoin?....many of them absolutely didn"t know what is this...so I think most of students is lazy to learn and expand they horizons..many of them want big money and fast...but did"nt look around the world...

Just one thing - money, there's really nothing else to it. With good education you have decent chances of getting a good job where you will earn a lot of money. With money you can do everything and have everything, without money - it doesn't matter who you are, what you can do - you're nothing. Do you want to be nothing? This is your choice.

I think sharing success stories to students will motivate them to study harder.. and by always giving them encouragement and support that they can achieve their goals in life will definitely help them a lot. Helping them to believe on their selves, build their confidence, develop their capacities, help them to bring out the best on them are some of the things that may help.. but being motivated must be always be accompanied with passion and perseverance to study harder so someday he/she can achieve what he/she wanted to have in the future.

I'm an arts professor, and there's nothing more inspirational than loving what you are studying. Don't worry, it gets better in college.

i think the main purposes they are in the school will bring them to one condition where they have to reach what they wish in the future, besides what kind of their surroundings are in, depends on how big their ambitions to get what they want...

I dunno, but reading motivational quotes works for me. Also, reading articles about successful people especially from my own country. I get the thought that if I study hard enough there's the possibility that I can be like them in the future.  :)

And you think about where you will work with your laziness and who you will become after. Learn this one thing, but the real application of your knowledge is completely different, and much more complicated.

I think if you have good friends you won't get bored in school.

Put yourself limits and goals. Ask yourself this question: Have you ever worked hard? If the answer is yes you know how this things works. Good luck with your lessons, i walked that road.. It's not pleasant i know..

The things that can motivite a student to study hard are:

* if you want your parents to be proud
* by thinking the most thing you want that they wont buy you and ask for it as a reward when you have high grades(this is what i do)
*if you want to be successful when you grow up

As I can remeber myself , I was really enthusiastic and motivated when we had really good teachers ..by the way, there is a new project called teachemeplease..its a blockchain platform system which contains all the studying material and you have an access all the time..but I guess, its more for self-dicipline people))

motivate yourself with your family's status. my youngest brother is still studying in college and he is determined to study and get a job after because of our poverty. he witnessed our struggles just to let him finnish his studies. or you can also motivate yourself with your parents, look at them working hard for you to graduate and get a good life.

his dream. if a person is really persuasive to achieve his dream or goal, he will do everything for that. he will be motivated to study hard in order to be successful in life.

I've always had trouble finding motivation to study, the only thing that made me study was not to repeat the course and lose my friends.

Um.... your future? I think a better question you should be asking yourself is this the right path you want to be on? I dropped out of college because I didn't enjoy it nor was it what I really wanted to do but felt like it was the normal route or what would have been expected of me. I'm glad I dropped out though because it was the best decision I made. I started my own business and work for myself and I couldn't be happier. I wouldn't have been very happy just working in an office somewhere as a drone or middle management so I would really ask yourself where you want to be in the future and whether this includes your degree because working a job you don't even like is soul destroying and there's much better jobs and ways of living out there.

Well, I'm a freelancer/self-employed/digital nomad as many are from here... and nothing really changed after the uni. If you don't join a big company, where THEY give you the rules and motivation and a boss, you have to do it for yourself, and that's one of the hardest thing being yourself in charge.

On the plus side, if you can pull this off, you are pretty much done for life! :)

My motivation is currently to 1) provide for myself, my family and friends and for my future, own family a good life. Not luxurious, but good, worry-free. It's not motivating me all the time, but that's the best so far.

Someone said to me, remember the effort of your parent, you are studying not only for you but for returning the favor from your heart to your parent. I think its reasonable, but im still on my laziness.

Having a hard-working student has a lot of new and exciting ways to teach but still retains the essence of teaching, which can make students feel no longer boring. And we will also tell you interesting rewards when you achieve good results in learning that will help motivate the learning process of your students.

Just talk to the student in a nice and easy way for them to understand the value of education.  As for my own personal experience with my son, he isn't really not that super boy in his school but he always managed to get good grades and passed every examinations at least.  I just told him that it doesn't really matter to us his parents if he got honors or none, for as long as he will get serious to do his best.  With a big love, understanding and a dash of presents, it worked for our son.  Try to yours too.

In my opinion what leads a student to study, is the value of your dream, without it there is no way to measure, it all depends on what you really want and how much you are willing to pay.

Seeing his/her teacher doing the things that are inspiring and also with the negative past story and hearing it how he manage to overcome those things with giving value the education.

Set short term goals and reward yourself when you reach them.  Start out with something that is really easy, and give yourself a small reward, like maybe go get an ice cream cone.  Then increase the challenge and also increase the reward.  The ultimate goal will be the satisfaction gained when you reach it.

For me, failure is an enough motivation for a student to study hard. I believe that once you fail, it will make you strive harder. Because you don't want to fail again. You know that another failure is too much. So you will now do your best so you won't fail anymore.

If my grades getting low my mother ask me why, so they are disappointed to my grade because it is very low. My father said if I want to become rich I need to be a hard woking student, because the study is the key for my dreams.

Other students are motivated to study hard if they have enough comfort like finances, transportation, food.and friends. Others also are motivated if they see others ahead of them became successful that someday they will be like them. Others their inspiration are their families and loveones. They study hard so that their future family won't experience the hardships.

The only real thing that can inspire a student is if they're doing something they love. Unfortunately most people just want to sit back and relax, not much.

Self-motivation is very hard but not like it impossible.

Of course that's much easier said than done, as all students are motivated differently and it takes time and a lot of effort to learn to get a classroom full of kids enthusiastic about learning, working hard, and pushing themselves to excel

Students have different goals in life when they studied. Some of them use their family as their inspiration to study. Me too is using it when i was studying in the past. This is a great motivation for everyone.
