It is a bad idea to invest everything in a single coin, it is best for you to diversify your investments, also I think to expect that ETC surpass ETH is to be too optimistic, that is something that I think it is never going to happen so if that is what you are expecting from your investment, it is better to change your plans.

You should diversify your portfolio, as the guy above said. Buy some BTC, LTC, Sia, etc. to mitigate your losses when one of them crashes.
As for buying ETH, it was only $1 a few years back and now it is ~$200... so I think you can definitely make a nice profit over the long term. Keep in mind the price of ETH is highly correlated with that of Bitcoin. If you think the BTC price will go down in the coming months (as many are saying), then you might want to wait a bit before investing.

with that amount, i think you can diversify the coins and you can buy 2-3 altcoin but if you already buy etc then its good for you. i think for getting bigger than ethereum its still difficult because ethereum community is split with 2 large community and each of community want the each coin is getting bigger. i am not sure etc will be bigger than eth but who know the coin will be grow together.

Of course ETC has a good future, ETC has the same technology foundation as ETH, although it's not really that strong at the moment, but I believe it can compete with any other currency in the future.

Many people don't see the potential of ethereum classic but I really trust and like the team behind of it. Only thing We need is time, it will be great.

Well, it's better to divide you investment. Don't just focus on one coin. Imagine if you invest it on just one coin and it didn't work out well. You'll lose a lot of money. But, if you'll invest it on some other alt coins, the chance of loss is minimum. Invest wisely so you will not regret it. Good luck!

It is same so it has same flaws only bright thing is that have way smaller blockchain.  ETH will have serious problems already in 2018 because of to big blockchain if current growth rate will continue

I don’t think so eth is going to increase in anyway. Bitcoins are going to increase drastically in the coming months and eth will eventually lose its supporters. That means eth ultimately is going to wipe out from the crypto world or at least its price will decrease. Eth should come up some innovative idea to save its future.

Ethereum classic offer decentralized, immutable and limited supply cryptocurrency with some marketing. Marketing is important but not enough I am not sure that with these three features how far it will go but I am sure that etc will surprise everyone.

So, in next time SEC will have many rules will change ICO market, one of the strengths Ethereum in recently and helped Ethereum popular with many people on the world's. When SEC have rules about ICO, the ICO market in future will just have really project and not have issue about scammer or bad idea.

Actually I'm doing that and I'm not going after for only one coin since I don't want to risk for just single basket around and much better to have many so that if those coins will pump I can earn many more profits rather than staying on one side where we can actually lose if the coin we have hodl are in down situation.

As the saying " dont put all your eggs in one basket"
This applies to you as you want to invest all your money in ethereum classic.
Don't you fear what ifs? What if it will become a shitcoin and the worse it becomes less or no value.
You'll lose all and end up nothing.
Yes, diversify it to some promising coins to have a back up it case your etc will fail.
Better to be always be safe than sorry.

Still have a way for people just want invest to an altcoin they like. Need have stop loss point after bought, then following the market and check the trend in that time. If your predict is right, let's enjoy your profit, but if you predict is wrong, cut loss will automatic and helps you minimize ratio loss money and give you opportunity buying this coin again with cheap price.

I think the classic Ethereum is hard to develop for the better, Ethereum is the coin I not like because Ethereum classic coin is simply a clone.

It is just a matter of time before ETC rallies to new highs alongwith other Alts on next rally.
Some crypto gurus have $100 target for it. Hold some for long-term.

Vitalik Buterin has nice projects for Ethereum such as Proof of Stake. I believe this will be the future of the cryptocurrency world. While there is no updates in Ethereum Classic. I do not believe ETC will have a future, Stratis, NEO and Waves will surpass ETC in the end.

Changes will happen to every crypto it depends on time how people will react to it. Now only a few projects are being launched on this ETC blockchain, so in future, there are chances that the price of ETC will increase when the demand of blockchain is increasing.

If I have 3000 $, I will invest into some altcoin, do not just use 1 classic ethereum alone, because classic ethereum may not be profitable for you, as good as altcoin there must be weakness. I think if the classical ethereum saw its development quite good, but for the future no one knows

OP should consider splitting 3k$ into different altcoins in order to decrease risks of failing. Try to find 3-5 different and promising alts and invest in them

ETH and BTC move in a similar manner but they do not have identical patterns, you just need to look at the recent weeks and months, ETH has lost a lot of value while bitcoin has gained value even in these difficult circumstances, so I do not think there are going to be better circumstances to buy ETH than the ones we are in.

ETC in my opinion has a pretty good potential. I also started investing in ETCs. Altcoin is quite attractive with prices still very cheap today.

Yes ETC have a potential in the market, but I think it is not enough. Due to slowly fluctuation of ETC value in the market, some users were not waste their time to entertain the ability of ETC. However, it is good to buy as investment in trading because some altcoins was unpredictable value.

I agree with you ETC is a very potential altcoin in the future and is developed by ETH. I think if ETC adds more features like ETH then surely ETC could go beyond ETH and possibly be competing with Bitcon.

now Ethereum Classic price is 14.86$

If ethereum classic does have new projects coming up ,then we could see some movement in the price, with ETH being blowing out of proportion and having some issues with scaling then it is a good idea to use ETC to start the new projects and that can happen it will have a good future and can see the price start moving up.

If you look at the historical graph you will see that ETC has gone up as the time has passed by but if you look the at last weeks or months you will see a downward trend but that is after a massive movement in the altcoin market that happened in the first 6 months of the year.

Eth does not have that potential of touching the sky in the coming years. Unless and until the bitcoins are playing hard in the market, eth can’t produce a drastic profit. Eth needs a lot of improvement and updates in order to remain in the picture. Otherwise it will disappear soon.

For Ethereum Classic no, for Ethereum yes. Don't focus on a single coin. You should have at least 4 or 5 favorite coins to invest on. Watch out for LTC, ETH, XMR, Dash. Only my opinion.

Now when there is no much hype around it, maybe it is good time for accumulation.Price is also very acceptable now.Everything else tells me to invest. I won't compare it with ETH nor any other token this was done so many time..Yes have a future, without doubts. But can we hold it so till then? So much activity in crypto world, you just can't stay aside with one or few coins in pockets..

I both agree and disagree with your comment, ETH is not going to touch the sky in the next years that is right but to think the second coins in market cap is going to disappear soon if no improvements are made is a little bit drastic, At worst another coin will displace it from the second spot on market cap.
