Title: AsicMiner Blade some easy questions
Post by: sinx91 on May 14, 2013, 02:20:41 PM
Hello :)

i just bought 2 blades but have some questions about the power supply.
I know that i need to connect 4 wires from my psu to the delivered plug.
Now my question is, how can this work?
I would take a pcie extension and use 4 cables,
but in theorie a 6 pin pcie plug can only provide
75 watt, if i use 4 of the 6 cables the blade would only
gain 50 watt. Ive seen that a blade needs 70 watt and overclocked
Up to 120 watt. Can somone explain me how to provide
Enough power from only 4 cables?

A other question on the overclocking, i saw it is just
Possible to set the clockrate to high. Is there a possibility
To bring it higher then the predefined 12,8 ghs @ overclocked settings?

The cooling would be no problem.
Which voltage can the core handle under air cooling?

I will cool it with 2x 120mm scythe ultra kaze@3000rpm with 220m^3/h on heat sink,
1x 140mm fan with 180m^3/h airflow on power module and 1x200mm with 180m^3/h under the blade, to
blow air in the chip side.

Am hoping for help :)

Greetings! (sry for my bad english)
